Ezékiel 35
1 És lett hozzám az Örökkévaló igéje, mondván:
Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2 Ember fia, fordítsd arczodat Széir hegye felé és prófétálj róla.
“Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
3 És mondd neki: Így szól az Úr, az Örökkévaló: Íme én ellened fordulok, Széir hegye, kinyújtom reád kezemet s pusztulássá és pusztasággá teszlek.
and tell it, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you. I will make you a desolation and an astonishment.
4 Városaidat rommá teszem és te pusztulássá leszel; és megtudod, hogy én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
I will lay your cities waste, and you will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
5 Mivel örök gyűlölséged volt és Izraél fiait oda vetetted a kard hatalmába, balsorsuk idején, a végbűn idején.
“‘“Because you have had a perpetual hostility, and have given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end,
6 Azért ahogy élek, úgymond az Úr, az Örökkévaló, bizony vérré teszlek és vér üldözzön téged, ha te nem gyűlölted a vért, tehát vér üldözzön téged.
therefore, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I will prepare you for blood, and blood will pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, therefore blood will pursue you.
7 És teszem Széir hegyét pusztasággá és pusztulássá, és kiirtok belőle járókelőt.
Thus I will make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation. I will cut off from it him who passes through and him who returns.
8 És megtöltöm hegyeit megöltjeivel, halmaid, völgyeid és mind a medreid – kard megöltjei esnek el rajtuk.
I will fill its mountains with its slain. The slain with the sword will fall in your hills and in your valleys and in all your watercourses.
9 Örök pusztulássá teszlek, városaid nem állnak helyre; és megtudjátok, hogy én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
I will make you a perpetual desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
10 Mivel azt mondtad: az a két nemzet és az a két ország az enyém lesz és elfoglaljuk, holott az Örökkévaló ott volt.
“‘“Because you have said, ‘These two nations and these two countries will be mine, and we will possess it,’ although the LORD was there,
11 Azért, ahogy élek, úgymond az Úr, az Örökkévaló, cselekszem majd haragod és buzgalmad szerint, amellyel te cselekedtél gyűlöletedből ellenök; és megismertetem magamat köztük, midőn ítéllek tégedet.
therefore, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I will do according to your anger, and according to your envy which you have shown out of your hatred against them; and I will make myself known amongst them when I judge you.
12 És megtudod, hogy én az Örökkévaló hallottam mind a gyalázásaidat, a melyeket kimondottál Izraél hegyei ellen, mondván: elpusztultak, nekünk adattak eledelül.
You will know that I, the LORD, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, ‘They have been laid desolate. They have been given to us to devour.’
13 És fennhéjáztatok ellenem szátokkal és szaporítjátok ellenem szavaitokat: én hallottam.
You have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me. I have heard it.”
14 Így szól az Úr, az Örökkévaló: midőn majd örül az egész föld, pusztulást teszek veled.
The Lord GOD says: “When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.
15 A mint örültél Izraél házának örökségén, mivelhogy elpusztult, úgy cselekszem veled: pusztulássá lesz Széir hegye és Edóm egészen; és megtudják, hogy én vagyok az Örökkévaló.
As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
