5 Mózes 27
1 És megparancsolta Mózes, meg Izrael vénei a népnek, mondván: őrizzétek meg mind a parancsolatot, melyet én ma nektek parancsolok.
And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep the whole commandment which I command you this day.
2 És lesz, ama napon, melyen átvonultok a Jordánon az országba, melyet az Örökkévaló, a te Istened ad neked, állíts föl magadnak nagy köveket és meszeld be azokat mésszel,
And it shall be on the day when ye pass over the Jordan unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set up for thyself great stones, and cover them with plaster;
3 és írd rájuk a tannak minden szavait, mihelyt átvonultál; azért, hogy bemehess az országba, melyet az Örökkévaló, a te Istened ad neked, a tejjel-mézzel folyó országba, amint szólt hozzád az Örökkévaló, őseid Istene.
And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, so soon as thou art passed over; in order that thou mayest go in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, a land flowing with milk and honey; as the Lord, the God of thy fathers, hath spoken unto thee.
4 És lesz, mihelyt átvonultatok a Jordánon, állítsátok föl a köveket, amit én ma nektek parancsolok, az Évol hegyén és meszeld be azokat mésszel.
And it shall be so soon as ye are gone over the Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, on mount 'Ebal; and thou shalt cover them with plaster.
5 És építs ott oltárt az Örökkévalónak, a te Istenednek, kövekből való oltárt, ne emelj azokra vasat.
And thou shalt build there an altar unto the Lord thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
6 Egész kövekből építsd az Örökkévaló, a te Istened oltárát és mutass be azon égőáldozatokat az Örökkévalónak, a te Istenednek;
Of whole stones shalt thou build the altar of the Lord thy God; and thou shalt offer thereupon burnt-offerings unto the Lord thy God;
7 vágj vágóáldozatokat és edd meg ott; és örvendj az Örökkévaló, a te Istened színe előtt.
And thou shalt slay peace-offerings, and eat [them] there; and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God.
8 És írd a kövekre a tannak minden szavait egész értelmesen.
And thou shalt write upon the statues all the words of this law, very plainly.
9 És szólt Mózes és a levita papok egész Izraelhez, mondván: Figyelj és halljad Izrael! E napon lettél az Örökkévaló, a te Istened népévé!
And Moses with the priests, the Levites, spoke unto all Israel, saying, Be attentive, and hearken, O Israel! this day art thou become a people unto the Lord thy God.
10 Hallgass tehát az Örökkévaló, a te Istened szavára és tedd meg parancsolatait és törvényeit, melyeket én ma neked parancsolok.
Thou shalt therefore hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
11 És megparancsolta Mózes a népnek ama napon, mondván:
And Moses commanded the people on the same day, saying,
12 Ezek álljanak, hogy megáldják a népet a Gerizim hegyén, mihelyt átvonultatok a Jordánon Simon, Lévi, Júda, Isszáchár, József és Benjámin.
These shall stand upon mount Gerizzim to bless the people, when ye are come over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
13 Ezek pedig álljanak az átoknál az Évol hegyén: Rúben, Gád, Ásér, Zebúlun, Dán és Náftáli.
And these shall stand for the sake of the curse upon mount 'Ebal: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 És szólaljanak meg a leviták és mondják Izrael minden férfiának fennhangon:
And the Levites shall commence, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
15 Átkozott a férfi, aki készít faragott képet vagy öntött bálványt, utálatára az Örökkévalónak, mester kezeművét és titokban fölállítja! És feleljen az egész nép és mondja: Ámen!
Cursed be the man who maketh a graven or molten image, the abomination of the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place; and all the people shall answer, and say, Amen.
16 Átkozott, aki megveti atyját és anyját! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen!
Cursed be he that holdeth in light esteem his father or his mother; and all the people shall say, Amen.
17 Átkozott, aki eltolja felebarátja határát! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen!
Cursed be he that removeth the landmark of his neighbor; and all the people shall say, Amen.
18 Átkozott, aki félrevezet vakot az úton! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen!
Cursed be he that causeth the blind to wander out of the way; and all the people shall say, Amen.
19 Átkozott, aki elhajlítja jogát az idegennek, árvának és özvegynek! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen!
Cursed be he that perverteth the cause of the stranger, of the fatherless, and of the widow; and all the people shall say, Amen.
20 Átkozott, ki hál atyja feleségével, mert felfedte atyjának leplét! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen.
Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt; and all the people shall say, Amen.
21 Átkozott, ki hál bármely barommal! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen.
Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast; and all the people shall say, Amen.
22 Átkozott ki hál nővérével, atyjának leányával vagy anyjának leányával! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen.
Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother; and all the people shall say, Amen.
23 Átkozott, ki hál napával! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen.
Cursed be he that lieth with his mother-in-law; and all the people shall say, Amen.
24 Átkozott, aki agyonveri felebarátját titokban! És mondja. az egész nép: Ámen!
Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbor secretly; and all the people shall say, Amen.
25 Átkozott, aki vesztegetést elfogad; hogy megöljön valakit, ártatlannak vérét ontva! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen!
Cursed be he that taketh a bribe to slay a person, an innocent blood; and all the people shall say, Amen.
26 Átkozott, aki nem tartja fenn a tannak szavait, hogy megtegye azokat! És mondja az egész nép: Ámen!
Cursed be he that executeth not the words of this law to do them; and all the people shall say, Amen.
