2 Sámuel 5

1 És eljöttek mind az Izrael törzsei Dávidhoz Chebrónba és szóltak, mondván: Itt vagyunk, csontod és húsod vagyunk;

3 És jöttek mind az Izrael vénei a királyhoz Chebrónba, és kötött velük Dávid király szövetséget Chebrónban az Örökkévaló színe előtt; és fölkenték Dávidot királyul Izrael fölé.

4 Harminc éves volt Dávid, mikor király lett, negyven évig uralkodott;

son: aged thirty year David in/on/with to reign he forty year to reign

5 Chebrónban uralkodott Jehúda fölött hét évig és hat hónapig, Jeruzsálemben pedig uralkodott harminchárom évig egész Izrael és Jehúda fölött.

in/on/with Hebron to reign upon Judah seven year and six month and in/on/with Jerusalem to reign thirty and three year upon all Israel and Judah

6 És ment a király meg emberei Jeruzsálembe a jebúszi, az ország lakója ellen; ez szólt Dávidhoz, mondván: Nem fogsz te ide bejönni, hanem ha eltávolítod a vakokat és a sántákat – mondván: nem fog ide bejönni Dávid.

7 És bevette Dávid Ción várát; Dávid városa az.

8 És szólt Dávid ama napon: Aki megveri a jebúszit – eljut a vízvezetékhez – meg a sántákat és a vakokat, Dávid lelkének gyűlöltjeit; – ezért mondják: vak és sánta nem megy be a házba.

12 S megtudta Dávid, hogy megszilárdította őt az Örökkévaló királynak Izrael fölött, és hogy fölemelte uralmát népe, Izrael kedvéért.

13 És még vett Dávid ágyasokat és feleségeket Jeruzsálemből, miután elment Chebrónból: és még születtek Dávidnak fiai és leányai.

and to take: take David still concubine and woman: wife from Jerusalem after to come (in): come he from Hebron and to beget still to/for David son: child and daughter

14 És ezek a nevei azoknak, kik neki Jeruzsálemben születtek Sammúa, Sóbáb, Nátán és Salamon.

and these name [the] born to/for him in/on/with Jerusalem Shammua and Shobab and Nathan and Solomon

15 Jibchár, Elisúá, Néfeg és Jáfía.

and Ibhar and Elishua and Nepheg and Japhia

16 Elisámá, Eljádá és Elífélet.

and Elishama and Eliada and Eliphelet

17 Midőn hallották a filiszteusok, hogy fölkenték Dávidot királlyá Izrael fölé, fölvonultak mind a filiszteusok, hogy keressék Dávidot; meghallotta Dávid és leszállt a várba.

and to hear: hear Philistine for to anoint [obj] David to/for king upon Israel and to ascend: rise all Philistine to/for to seek [obj] David and to hear: hear David and to go down to(wards) [the] fortress

18 A filiszteusok pedig elérkeztek és elterültek a Refáim völgyében.

and Philistine to come (in): come and to leave in/on/with Valley (of Rephaim) (Valley of) Rephaim

19 Ekkor megkérdezte Dávid az Örökkévalót, mondván: Vonuljak-e a filiszteusok ellen, kezembe adod-e őket? – Szólt az Örökkévaló Dávidhoz: Vonulj, mert kezedbe fogom adni a filiszteusokat.

20 Odaérkezett Dávid Báal-Peráczimba és megverte őket ott Dávid és mondta: Szétszakasztotta az Örökkévaló ellenségeimet előttem mint vízszakadás; azért így nevezte el ama helyet Báal-Peráczim.

and to come (in): come David in/on/with Baal-perazim Baal-perazim and to smite them there David and to say to break through LORD [obj] enemy my to/for face: before my like/as breach water upon so to call: call by name [the] place [the] he/she/it Baal-perazim Baal-perazim

21 Ott hagyták bálványképeiket; és fölvették azokat Dávid és emberei.

and to leave: forsake there [obj] idol their and to lift: bear them David and human his

22 Még tovább is feljöttek a filiszteusok és elterültek a Refáim völgyében.

and to add: again still Philistine to/for to ascend: rise and to leave in/on/with Valley (of Rephaim) (Valley of) Rephaim

23 Ekkor megkérdezte Dávid az Örökkévalót. Mondta: Ne vonulj föl! Fordulj mögéjük és támadj rájuk a szederfák felől;

and to ask David in/on/with LORD and to say not to ascend: rise to turn: surround to(wards) after them and to come (in): come to/for them from opposite balsam

24 és lesz, mikor lépés neszét hallod a szederfák csúcsain, akkor mozdulj, mert akkor kivonult az Örökkévaló előtted, hogy megverje a filiszteusok táborát.

25 És cselekedett Dávid akképpen, amint megparancsolta neki az Örökkévaló; s megverte a filiszteusokat Gébától egészen Gézer felé.
