1 १ भजन। विश्राम के दिन के लिये गीत यहोवा का धन्यवाद करना भला है, हे परमप्रधान, तेरे नाम का भजन गाना;
IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO Your NAME, O MOST HIGH:
2 २ प्रातःकाल को तेरी करुणा, और प्रति रात तेरी सच्चाई का प्रचार करना,
To show forth your loving kindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night,
3 ३ दस तारवाले बाजे और सारंगी पर, और वीणा पर गम्भीर स्वर से गाना भला है।
Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
4 ४ क्योंकि, हे यहोवा, तूने मुझ को अपने कामों से आनन्दित किया है; और मैं तेरे हाथों के कामों के कारण जयजयकार करूँगा।
For you, LORD, have made me glad through your work: I will triumph in the works of your hands.
5 ५ हे यहोवा, तेरे काम क्या ही बड़े है! तेरी कल्पनाएँ बहुत गम्भीर है;
O LORD, how great are your works! and your thoughts are very deep.
6 ६ पशु समान मनुष्य इसको नहीं समझता, और मूर्ख इसका विचार नहीं करता:
A brutish man knows not; neither does a fool understand this.
7 ७ कि दुष्ट जो घास के समान फूलते-फलते हैं, और सब अनर्थकारी जो प्रफुल्लित होते हैं, यह इसलिए होता है, कि वे सर्वदा के लिये नाश हो जाएँ,
When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
8 ८ परन्तु हे यहोवा, तू सदा विराजमान रहेगा।
But you, LORD, are most high for evermore.
9 ९ क्योंकि हे यहोवा, तेरे शत्रु, हाँ तेरे शत्रु नाश होंगे; सब अनर्थकारी तितर-बितर होंगे।
For, lo, your enemies, O LORD, for, lo, your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
10 १० परन्तु मेरा सींग तूने जंगली साँड़ के समान ऊँचा किया है; तूने ताजे तेल से मेरा अभिषेक किया है।
But my horn shall you exalt like the horn of an unicorn (ox): I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
11 ११ मैं अपने शत्रुओं पर दृष्टि करके, और उन कुकर्मियों का हाल जो मेरे विरुद्ध उठे थे, सुनकर सन्तुष्ट हुआ हूँ।
Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
12 १२ धर्मी लोग खजूर के समान फूले फलेंगे, और लबानोन के देवदार के समान बढ़ते रहेंगे।
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 १३ वे यहोवा के भवन में रोपे जाकर, हमारे परमेश्वर के आँगनों में फूले फलेंगे।
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 १४ वे पुराने होने पर भी फलते रहेंगे, और रस भरे और लहलहाते रहेंगे,
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15 १५ जिससे यह प्रगट हो कि यहोवा सच्चा है; वह मेरी चट्टान है, और उसमें कुटिलता कुछ भी नहीं।
To show that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
