भजन संहिता 89

1 १ एतान एज्रावंशी का मश्कील मैं यहोवा की सारी करुणा के विषय सदा गाता रहूँगा; मैं तेरी सच्चाई पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी तक बताता रहूँगा।

“A Maskil of Ethan the Ezrachite.” The kindnesses of the Lord will I for ever sing: from generation to generation will I make known thy faithfulness with my mouth.

2 २ क्योंकि मैंने कहा, “तेरी करुणा सदा बनी रहेगी, तू स्वर्ग में अपनी सच्चाई को स्थिर रखेगा।”

For I have said, To eternity will kindness be built up: the heavens—yea, in these wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.

3 ३ तूने कहा, “मैंने अपने चुने हुए से वाचा बाँधी है, मैंने अपने दास दाऊद से शपथ खाई है,

“I have made a covenant with my elect, I have sworn unto David my servant,

4 ४ ‘मैं तेरे वंश को सदा स्थिर रखूँगा; और तेरी राजगद्दी को पीढ़ी-पीढ़ी तक बनाए रखूँगा।’” (सेला)

Unto eternity will I establish thy seed, and I will build up thy throne, from generation to generation.” (Selah)

5 ५ हे यहोवा, स्वर्ग में तेरे अद्भुत काम की, और पवित्रों की सभा में तेरी सच्चाई की प्रशंसा होगी।

And the heavens praise thy wonder, O Lord: also thy faithfulness in the assembly of holy ones.

6 ६ क्योंकि आकाशमण्डल में यहोवा के तुल्य कौन ठहरेगा? बलवन्तों के पुत्रों में से कौन है जिसके साथ यहोवा की उपमा दी जाएगी?

For who in the sky can be compared unto the Lord? who can be likened unto the Lord among the sons of the mighty?

7 ७ परमेश्वर पवित्र लोगों की गोष्ठी में अत्यन्त प्रतिष्ठा के योग्य, और अपने चारों ओर सब रहनेवालों से अधिक भययोग्य है।

God is greatly terrific in the secret council of the holy ones and fear-inspiring over all that are about him.

8 ८ हे सेनाओं के परमेश्वर यहोवा, हे यहोवा, तेरे तुल्य कौन सामर्थी है? तेरी सच्चाई तो तेरे चारों ओर है!

O Lord God of hosts, who is powerful, like thee, Eternal! and thy faithfulness is round about thee.

9 ९ समुद्र के गर्व को तू ही तोड़ता है; जब उसके तरंग उठते हैं, तब तू उनको शान्त कर देता है।

Thou rulest over the pride of the sea: when its waves are lifted up, thou assuagest them.

10 १० तूने रहब को घात किए हुए के समान कुचल डाला, और अपने शत्रुओं को अपने बाहुबल से तितर-बितर किया है।

Thou didst crush Rahab as one that is slain: with thy strong arm didst thou scatter thy enemies.

11 ११ आकाश तेरा है, पृथ्वी भी तेरी है; जगत और जो कुछ उसमें है, उसे तू ही ने स्थिर किया है।

Thine are the heavens, also thine is the earth: as for the world and what filleth it, thou hast founded them.

12 १२ उत्तर और दक्षिण को तू ही ने सिरजा; ताबोर और हेर्मोन तेरे नाम का जयजयकार करते हैं।

The north and the south—these hast thou created: Tabor and Chermon shall rejoice in thy name.

13 १३ तेरी भुजा बलवन्त है; तेरा हाथ शक्तिमान और तेरा दाहिना हाथ प्रबल है।

Thine is the powerful arm, with might: strong is thy hand, and exalted is thy right hand.

14 १४ तेरे सिंहासन का मूल, धर्म और न्याय है; करुणा और सच्चाई तेरे आगे-आगे चलती है।

Righteousness and justice are the prop of thy throne: kindness and truth precede thy presence.

15 १५ क्या ही धन्य है वह समाज जो आनन्द के ललकार को पहचानता है; हे यहोवा, वे लोग तेरे मुख के प्रकाश में चलते हैं,

Happy is the people that know the cornet's sound: O Lord, in the light of thy countenance will they ever walk firmly.

16 १६ वे तेरे नाम के हेतु दिन भर मगन रहते हैं, और तेरे धर्म के कारण महान हो जाते हैं।

In thy name will they be glad all the day, and in thy righteousness will they be exalted.

17 १७ क्योंकि तू उनके बल की शोभा है, और अपनी प्रसन्नता से हमारे सींग को ऊँचा करेगा।

For thou art the glory of their strength; and through thy favor will our horn be exalted.

18 १८ क्योंकि हमारी ढाल यहोवा की ओर से है, हमारा राजा इस्राएल के पवित्र की ओर से है।

For of the Lord is our shield; and of the Holy One of Israel is our king.

19 १९ एक समय तूने अपने भक्त को दर्शन देकर बातें की; और कहा, “मैंने सहायता करने का भार एक वीर पर रखा है, और प्रजा में से एक को चुनकर बढ़ाया है।

Then spokest thou in a vision to thy pious [servant], and saidst, “I have bestowed help to one that is mighty; I have exalted a youth out of the people;

20 २० मैंने अपने दास दाऊद को लेकर, अपने पवित्र तेल से उसका अभिषेक किया है।

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him;

21 २१ मेरा हाथ उसके साथ बना रहेगा, और मेरी भुजा उसे दृढ़ रखेगी।

With whom my hand shall be firmly established; also my arm shall strengthen him;

22 २२ शत्रु उसको तंग करने न पाएगा, और न कुटिल जन उसको दुःख देने पाएगा।

The enemy shall not exact from him like a lender: and the son of injustice shall not afflict him:

23 २३ मैं उसके शत्रुओं को उसके सामने से नाश करूँगा, और उसके बैरियों पर विपत्ति डालूँगा।

And I will beat down before his face his assailants, and those that hate him will I plague.

24 २४ परन्तु मेरी सच्चाई और करुणा उस पर बनी रहेंगी, और मेरे नाम के द्वारा उसका सींग ऊँचा हो जाएगा।

But my faithfulness and my kindness shall be with him: and through my name shall his horn be exalted.

25 २५ मैं समुद्र को उसके हाथ के नीचे और महानदों को उसके दाहिने हाथ के नीचे कर दूँगा।

And I will place on the sea his hand, and on the rivers his right hand.

26 २६ वह मुझे पुकारकर कहेगा, ‘तू मेरा पिता है, मेरा परमेश्वर और मेरे उद्धार की चट्टान है।’

He will call unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

27 २७ फिर मैं उसको अपना पहलौठा, और पृथ्वी के राजाओं पर प्रधान ठहराऊँगा।

Also I will appoint my first-born, the highest among the kings of the earth.

28 २८ मैं अपनी करुणा उस पर सदा बनाए रहूँगा, और मेरी वाचा उसके लिये अटल रहेगी।

For evermore will I keep for him my kindness, and my covenant shall stand faithfully with him.

29 २९ मैं उसके वंश को सदा बनाए रखूँगा, और उसकी राजगद्दी स्वर्ग के समान सर्वदा बनी रहेगी।

And I appoint for ever his seed, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30 ३० यदि उसके वंश के लोग मेरी व्यवस्था को छोड़ें और मेरे नियमों के अनुसार न चलें,

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my ordinances;

31 ३१ यदि वे मेरी विधियों का उल्लंघन करें, और मेरी आज्ञाओं को न मानें,

If they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:

32 ३२ तो मैं उनके अपराध का दण्ड सोंटें से, और उनके अधर्म का दण्ड कोड़ों से दूँगा।

Then will I visit with the rod their transgressions, and with plagues their iniquity.

33 ३३ परन्तु मैं अपनी करुणा उस पर से न हटाऊँगा, और न सच्चाई त्याग कर झूठा ठहरूँगा।

Nevertheless my kindness will I not make utterly void from him, and I will not act falsely against my faithfulness.

34 ३४ मैं अपनी वाचा न तोड़ूँगा, और जो मेरे मुँह से निकल चुका है, उसे न बदलूँगा।

I will not profane my covenant, and what is gone out of my lips will I not alter.

35 ३५ एक बार मैं अपनी पवित्रता की शपथ खा चुका हूँ; मैं दाऊद को कभी धोखा न दूँगा।

One thing have I sworn by my holiness, that I will not lie unto David.

36 ३६ उसका वंश सर्वदा रहेगा, और उसकी राजगद्दी सूर्य के समान मेरे सम्मुख ठहरी रहेगी।

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne shall be like the sun before me.

37 ३७ वह चन्द्रमा के समान, और आकाशमण्डल के विश्वासयोग्य साक्षी के समान सदा बना रहेगा।” (सेला)

Like the moon shall it be firmly established for ever, and as this faithful witness in the sky.” (Selah)

38 ३८ तो भी तूने अपने अभिषिक्त को छोड़ा और उसे तज दिया, और उस पर अति क्रोध किया है।

And yet thou hast east off and despised, thou hast become wroth with thy anointed.

39 ३९ तूने अपने दास के साथ की वाचा को त्याग दिया, और उसके मुकुट को भूमि पर गिराकर अशुद्ध किया है।

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned, down to the ground, his crown.

40 ४० तूने उसके सब बाड़ों को तोड़ डाला है, और उसके गढ़ों को उजाड़ दिया है।

Thou hast broken down all his fences: thou hast brought his strong-holds to terror.

41 ४१ सब बटोही उसको लूट लेते हैं, और उसके पड़ोसियों से उसकी नामधराई होती है।

All that pass by the way plunder him: he is become a reproach to his neighbors.

42 ४२ तूने उसके विरोधियों को प्रबल किया; और उसके सब शत्रुओं को आनन्दित किया है।

Thou hast raised up the right hand of his assailants: thou hast caused all his enemies to rejoice.

43 ४३ फिर तू उसकी तलवार की धार को मोड़ देता है, और युद्ध में उसके पाँव जमने नहीं देता।

Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not let him stand erect in the battle.

44 ४४ तूने उसका तेज हर लिया है, और उसके सिंहासन को भूमि पर पटक दिया है।

Thou hast made his brilliancy cease; and his throne hast thou thrown down to the ground.

45 ४५ तूने उसकी जवानी को घटाया, और उसको लज्जा से ढाँप दिया है। (सेला)

Thou hast shortened the days of his youth: thou hast enshrouded him with shame. (Selah)

46 ४६ हे यहोवा, तू कब तक लगातार मुँह फेरे रहेगा, तेरी जलजलाहट कब तक आग के समान भड़की रहेगी।

How long, Lord, wilt thou hide thyself, continually? how long shall thy fury burn like fire?

47 ४७ मेरा स्मरण कर, कि मैं कैसा अनित्य हूँ, तूने सब मनुष्यों को क्यों व्यर्थ सिरजा है?

Remember [what] I am, what my duration is [here], for what nothingness thou hast created all sons of men!

48 ४८ कौन पुरुष सदा अमर रहेगा? क्या कोई अपने प्राण को अधोलोक से बचा सकता है? (सेला) (Sheol h7585)

What man is there that can live, and shall not see death? that can deliver his soul from the power of the nether word? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

49 ४९ हे प्रभु, तेरी प्राचीनकाल की करुणा कहाँ रही, जिसके विषय में तूने अपनी सच्चाई की शपथ दाऊद से खाई थी?

Where are thy former kindnesses, O Lord, which thou hast sworn unto David by thy truth?

50 ५० हे प्रभु, अपने दासों की नामधराई की सुधि ले; मैं तो सब सामर्थी जातियों का बोझ लिए रहता हूँ।

Remember, Lord, the disgrace of thy servants; that I bear in my bosom the [burden] of all the many nations;

51 ५१ तेरे उन शत्रुओं ने तो हे यहोवा, तेरे अभिषिक्त के पीछे पड़कर उसकी नामधराई की है।

That thy enemies have defied, O Lord; that they have defied the footsteps of thy anointed.

52 ५२ यहोवा सर्वदा धन्य रहेगा! आमीन फिर आमीन।

Blessed be the Lord for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
