भजन संहिता 87

1 १ कोरहवंशियों का भजन उसकी नींव पवित्र पर्वतों में है;

`The salm of the song of the sones of Chore. The foundementis therof ben in hooli hillis;

2 २ और यहोवा सिय्योन के फाटकों से याकूब के सारे निवासों से बढ़कर प्रीति रखता है।

the Lord loueth the yatis of Sion, more than alle the tabernaclis of Jacob.

3 ३ हे परमेश्वर के नगर, तेरे विषय महिमा की बातें कही गई हैं। (सेला)

Thou citee of God, with outen ende; gloriouse thingis ben seide of thee.

4 ४ मैं अपने जान-पहचानवालों से रहब और बाबेल की भी चर्चा करूँगा; पलिश्त, सोर और कूश को देखो: “यह वहाँ उत्पन्न हुआ था।”

I schal be myndeful of Raab, and Babiloyne; knowynge me. Lo! aliens, and Tyre, and the puple of Ethiopiens; thei weren there.

5 ५ और सिय्योन के विषय में यह कहा जाएगा, “इनमें से प्रत्येक का जन्म उसमें हुआ था।” और परमप्रधान आप ही उसको स्थिर रखे।

Whether a man schal seie to Sion, And a man is born ther ynne; and that man altherhiyeste foundide it?

6 ६ यहोवा जब देश-देश के लोगों के नाम लिखकर गिन लेगा, तब यह कहेगा, “यह वहाँ उत्पन्न हुआ था।” (सेला)

The Lord schal telle in the scripturis of puplis; and of these princis, that weren ther ynne.

7 ७ गवैये और नृतक दोनों कहेंगे, “हमारे सब सोते तुझी में पाए जाते हैं।”

As the dwellyng `of alle that ben glad; is in thee.
