भजन संहिता 84

1 १ प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये गित्तीथ में कोरहवंशियों का भजन हे सेनाओं के यहोवा, तेरे निवास क्या ही प्रिय हैं!

Lord, you who are the Commander of the armies of angels, your temple is very beautiful!

2 २ मेरा प्राण यहोवा के आँगनों की अभिलाषा करते-करते मूर्छित हो चला; मेरा तन मन दोनों जीविते परमेश्वर को पुकार रहे।

I [SYN] would like to be there; Yahweh, I desire that very much [DOU]. With all of my inner being I sing joyfully to you, the all-powerful God.

3 ३ हे सेनाओं के यहोवा, हे मेरे राजा, और मेरे परमेश्वर, तेरी वेदियों में गौरैया ने अपना बसेरा और शूपाबेनी ने घोंसला बना लिया है जिसमें वह अपने बच्चे रखे।

Even sparrows and swallows have built nests [near your temple, where you protect them] [DOU]; they take care of their young babies near the altars [where people offer sacrifices to] you, who are the commander of the armies of heaven, and my king and my God.

4 ४ क्या ही धन्य हैं वे, जो तेरे भवन में रहते हैं; वे तेरी स्तुति निरन्तर करते रहेंगे। (सेला)

(Happy are/You are pleased with) those who (live/continually worship) in your temple, constantly singing to praise you.

5 ५ क्या ही धन्य है वह मनुष्य, जो तुझ से शक्ति पाता है, और वे जिनको सिय्योन की सड़क की सुधि रहती है।

Happy are those who [know that] you are the one who causes them to be strong, those who strongly desire to (make the trip/go) to Zion [Hill].

6 ६ वे रोने की तराई में जाते हुए उसको सोतों का स्थान बनाते हैं; फिर बरसात की अगली वृष्टि उसमें आशीष ही आशीष उपजाती है।

While they travel through the [dry] Baca Valley, [you cause] it to become a place where there are springs of water, where the rains (in the autumn/before the cold season) fill the valley with pools of water.

7 ७ वे बल पर बल पाते जाते हैं; उनमें से हर एक जन सिय्योन में परमेश्वर को अपना मुँह दिखाएगा।

[As a result, those who travel through there] become stronger/refreshed [knowing that] they will appear in your presence (on Zion [Hill]/in Jerusalem).

8 ८ हे सेनाओं के परमेश्वर यहोवा, मेरी प्रार्थना सुन, हे याकूब के परमेश्वर, कान लगा! (सेला)

Yahweh, commander of the armies of heaven, listen to my prayer; God, who [is worshiped by us (descendants of] Jacob/Israeli people), hear [IDM] what I am saying!

9 ९ हे परमेश्वर, हे हमारी ढाल, दृष्टि कर; और अपने अभिषिक्त का मुख देख!

God, be kind to [IDM] our king, the one who protects us [MTY], the one whom you have chosen [MTY] [to rule us].

10 १० क्योंकि तेरे आँगनों में एक दिन और कहीं के हजार दिन से उत्तम है। दुष्टों के डेरों में वास करने से अपने परमेश्वर के भवन की डेवढ़ी पर खड़ा रहना ही मुझे अधिक भावता है।

[For me], spending one day in your temple is better than spending 1,000 days somewhere else; [standing] at the entrance to your temple, [ready to go inside], is better than living in the tents/homes where wicked [people live].

11 ११ क्योंकि यहोवा परमेश्वर सूर्य और ढाल है; यहोवा अनुग्रह करेगा, और महिमा देगा; और जो लोग खरी चाल चलते हैं; उनसे वह कोई अच्छी वस्तु रख न छोड़ेगा।

Yahweh our God is [like] the sun [that shines on us] and [like] a shield [that protects us] [MET]; he is kind to [us] and honors [us]. Yahweh does not refuse to give any good thing/blessing to those who do what is right.

12 १२ हे सेनाओं के यहोवा, क्या ही धन्य वह मनुष्य है, जो तुझ पर भरोसा रखता है!

Yahweh, commander of the armies of heaven, (happy are/you are pleased with) those who trust in you!
