भजन संहिता 81

1 १ प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये: गित्तीथ राग में आसाप का भजन परमेश्वर जो हमारा बल है, उसका गीत आनन्द से गाओ; याकूब के परमेश्वर का जयजयकार करो!

To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of Asaph. Sing aloud to God our strength: make a joyful noise to the God of Jacob.

2 २ गीत गाओ, डफ और मधुर बजनेवाली वीणा और सारंगी को ले आओ।

Take a psalm, and strike the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

3 ३ नये चाँद के दिन, और पूर्णमासी को हमारे पर्व के दिन नरसिंगा फूँको।

Blow the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

4 ४ क्योंकि यह इस्राएल के लिये विधि, और याकूब के परमेश्वर का ठहराया हुआ नियम है।

For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

5 ५ इसको उसने यूसुफ में चितौनी की रीति पर उस समय चलाया, जब वह मिस्र देश के विरुद्ध चला। वहाँ मैंने एक अनजानी भाषा सुनी

This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.

6 ६ “मैंने उनके कंधों पर से बोझ को उतार दिया; उनका टोकरी ढोना छूट गया।

I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.

7 ७ तूने संकट में पड़कर पुकारा, तब मैंने तुझे छुड़ाया; बादल गरजने के गुप्त स्थान में से मैंने तेरी सुनी, और मरीबा नामक सोते के पास तेरी परीक्षा की। (सेला)

Thou didst call in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)

8 ८ हे मेरी प्रजा, सुन, मैं तुझे चिता देता हूँ! हे इस्राएल भला हो कि तू मेरी सुने!

Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me;

9 ९ तेरे बीच में पराया ईश्वर न हो; और न तू किसी पराए देवता को दण्डवत् करना!

There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.

10 १० तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा मैं हूँ, जो तुझे मिस्र देश से निकाल लाया है। तू अपना मुँह पसार, मैं उसे भर दूँगा।

I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11 ११ “परन्तु मेरी प्रजा ने मेरी न सुनी; इस्राएल ने मुझ को न चाहा।

But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would not obey me.

12 १२ इसलिए मैंने उसको उसके मन के हठ पर छोड़ दिया, कि वह अपनी ही युक्तियों के अनुसार चले।

So I gave them up to their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

13 १३ यदि मेरी प्रजा मेरी सुने, यदि इस्राएल मेरे मार्गों पर चले,

O that my people had hearkened to me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

14 १४ तो मैं क्षण भर में उनके शत्रुओं को दबाऊँ, और अपना हाथ उनके द्रोहियों के विरुद्ध चलाऊँ।

I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

15 १५ यहोवा के बैरी उसके आगे भय में दण्डवत् करें! उन्हें हमेशा के लिए अपमानित किया जाएगा।

The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves to him: and their time should have endured for ever.

16 १६ मैं उनको उत्तम से उत्तम गेहूँ खिलाता, और मैं चट्टान के मधु से उनको तृप्त करता।”

He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock I should have satisfied thee.
