भजन संहिता 72

1 १ सुलैमान का गीत हे परमेश्वर, राजा को अपना नियम बता, राजपुत्र को अपनी धार्मिकता सिखला!

“By Solomon.” O God, give unto the king thy decisions, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

2 २ वह तेरी प्रजा का न्याय धार्मिकता से, और तेरे दीन लोगों का न्याय ठीक-ठीक चुकाएगा।

He shall decide for thy people with righteousness, and for thy afflicted with justice.

3 ३ पहाड़ों और पहाड़ियों से प्रजा के लिये, धार्मिकता के द्वारा शान्ति मिला करेगी

The mountains shall bear peace for the people, and the hills [the same], through righteousness.

4 ४ वह प्रजा के दीन लोगों का न्याय करेगा, और दरिद्र लोगों को बचाएगा; और अत्याचार करनेवालों को चूर करेगा।

He shall judge the afflicted of the people, he shall give help to the children of the needy; but he shall crush the oppressor.

5 ५ जब तक सूर्य और चन्द्रमा बने रहेंगे तब तक लोग पीढ़ी-पीढ़ी तेरा भय मानते रहेंगे।

They shall fear thee as long as the sun shineth, and in the presence of the moon, throughout all generations.

6 ६ वह घास की खूँटी पर बरसने वाले मेंह, और भूमि सींचने वाली झड़ियों के समान होगा।

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers which are dropping on the earth.

7 ७ उसके दिनों में धर्मी फूले फलेंगे, और जब तक चन्द्रमा बना रहेगा, तब तक शान्ति बहुत रहेगी।

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace [shall be] till the moon shall be no more.

8 ८ वह समुद्र से समुद्र तक और महानद से पृथ्वी की छोर तक प्रभुता करेगा।

And he shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

9 ९ उसके सामने जंगल के रहनेवाले घुटने टेकेंगे, और उसके शत्रु मिट्टी चाटेंगे।

Before him shall bend down those that dwell in the wilderness; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

10 १० तर्शीश और द्वीप-द्वीप के राजा भेंट ले आएँगे, शेबा और सबा दोनों के राजा उपहार पहुँचाएगे।

The kings of Tharshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

11 ११ सब राजा उसको दण्डवत् करेंगे, जाति-जाति के लोग उसके अधीन हो जाएँगे।

Yea, there shall bow down before him all kings: all nations shall serve him.

12 १२ क्योंकि वह दुहाई देनेवाले दरिद्र का, और दुःखी और असहाय मनुष्य का उद्धार करेगा।

For he will deliver the needy when he crieth; the afflicted also, who hath no helper.

13 १३ वह कंगाल और दरिद्र पर तरस खाएगा, और दरिद्रों के प्राणों को बचाएगा।

He will spare the poor and needy; and the souls of the needy will he assist.

14 १४ वह उनके प्राणों को अत्याचार और उपद्रव से छुड़ा लेगा; और उनका लहू उसकी दृष्टि में अनमोल ठहरेगा।

From wrong and violence will he deliver their soul; and precious shall their blood be in his eyes.

15 १५ वह तो जीवित रहेगा और शेबा के सोने में से उसको दिया जाएगा। लोग उसके लिये नित्य प्रार्थना करेंगे; और दिन भर उसको धन्य कहते रहेंगे।

And he shall live; and he will give him of the gold of Sheba: and he will pray in his behalf continually; all the time will he bless him.

16 १६ देश में पहाड़ों की चोटियों पर बहुत सा अन्न होगा; जिसकी बालें लबानोन के देवदारों के समान झूमेंगी; और नगर के लोग घास के समान लहलहाएँगे।

There shall be an abundance of corn in the land; upon the top of the mountains its fruit shall shake like [the trees of] Lebanon; and [men] shall blossom out of the city like herbs of the earth.

17 १७ उसका नाम सदा सर्वदा बना रहेगा; जब तक सूर्य बना रहेगा, तब तक उसका नाम नित्य नया होता रहेगा, और लोग अपने को उसके कारण धन्य गिनेंगे, सारी जातियाँ उसको धन्य कहेंगी।

His name will endure for ever; in the presence of the sun his name shall flourish: and men shall bless themselves with him: all nations shall call him happy.

18 १८ धन्य है यहोवा परमेश्वर, जो इस्राएल का परमेश्वर है; आश्चर्यकर्म केवल वही करता है।

Blessed be the Lord the God, the God of Israel, who alone doth wondrous things.

19 १९ उसका महिमायुक्त नाम सर्वदा धन्य रहेगा; और सारी पृथ्वी उसकी महिमा से परिपूर्ण होगी। आमीन फिर आमीन।

And blessed he his glorious name for ever; and with his glory may the whole earth be filled: Amen, and Amen.

20 २० यिशै के पुत्र दाऊद की प्रार्थना समाप्त हुई।
