भजन संहिता 66

1 १ प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये गीत, भजन हे सारी पृथ्वी के लोगों, परमेश्वर के लिये जयजयकार करो;

To the chief Musician, A Song [or] Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

2 २ उसके नाम की महिमा का भजन गाओ; उसकी स्तुति करते हुए, उसकी महिमा करो।

Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

3 ३ परमेश्वर से कहो, “तेरे काम कितने भयानक हैं! तेरी महासामर्थ्य के कारण तेरे शत्रु तेरी चापलूसी करेंगे।

Say unto God, How terrible [art thou in] thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

4 ४ सारी पृथ्वी के लोग तुझे दण्डवत् करेंगे, और तेरा भजन गाएँगे; वे तेरे नाम का भजन गाएँगे।” (सेला)

All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing [to] thy name. (Selah)

5 ५ आओ परमेश्वर के कामों को देखो; वह अपने कार्यों के कारण मनुष्यों को भययोग्य देख पड़ता है।

Come and see the works of God: [he is] terrible [in his] doing toward the children of men.

6 ६ उसने समुद्र को सूखी भूमि कर डाला; वे महानद में से पाँव-पाँव पार उतरे। वहाँ हम उसके कारण आनन्दित हुए,

He turned the sea into dry [land: ] they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

7 ७ जो अपने पराक्रम से सर्वदा प्रभुता करता है, और अपनी आँखों से जाति-जाति को ताकता है। विद्रोही अपने सिर न उठाए। (सेला)

He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. (Selah)

8 ८ हे देश-देश के लोगों, हमारे परमेश्वर को धन्य कहो, और उसकी स्तुति में राग उठाओ,

O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

9 ९ जो हमको जीवित रखता है; और हमारे पाँव को टलने नहीं देता।

Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

10 १० क्योंकि हे परमेश्वर तूने हमको जाँचा; तूने हमें चाँदी के समान ताया था।

For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11 ११ तूने हमको जाल में फँसाया; और हमारी कमर पर भारी बोझ बाँधा था;

Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12 १२ तूने घुड़चढ़ों को हमारे सिरों के ऊपर से चलाया, हम आग और जल से होकर गए; परन्तु तूने हमको उबार के सुख से भर दिया है।

Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy [place].

13 १३ मैं होमबलि लेकर तेरे भवन में आऊँगा मैं उन मन्नतों को तेरे लिये पूरी करूँगा,

I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

14 १४ जो मैंने मुँह खोलकर मानीं, और संकट के समय कही थीं।

Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

15 १५ मैं तुझे मोटे पशुओं की होमबलि, मेढ़ों की चर्बी की धूप समेत चढ़ाऊँगा; मैं बकरों समेत बैल चढ़ाऊँगा। (सेला)

I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. (Selah)

16 १६ हे परमेश्वर के सब डरवैयों, आकर सुनो, मैं बताऊँगा कि उसने मेरे लिये क्या-क्या किया है।

Come [and] hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

17 १७ मैंने उसको पुकारा, और उसी का गुणानुवाद मुझसे हुआ।

I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

18 १८ यदि मैं मन में अनर्थ की बात सोचता, तो प्रभु मेरी न सुनता।

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear [me: ]

19 १९ परन्तु परमेश्वर ने तो सुना है; उसने मेरी प्रार्थना की ओर ध्यान दिया है।

[But] verily God hath heard [me; ] he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 २० धन्य है परमेश्वर, जिसने न तो मेरी प्रार्थना अनसुनी की, और न मुझसे अपनी करुणा दूर कर दी है!

Blessed [be] God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
