भजन संहिता 63

1 १ दाऊद का भजन; जब वह यहूदा के जंगल में था। हे परमेश्वर, तू मेरा परमेश्वर है, मैं तुझे यत्न से ढूँढ़ूगा; सूखी और निर्जल ऊसर भूमि पर, मेरा मन तेरा प्यासा है, मेरा शरीर तेरा अति अभिलाषी है।

A Melody of David. When he was in the Wilderness of Judah. O God, my GOD, thou art, Earnestly do I desire thee, —My soul thirsteth for thee, My flesh fainteth for thee, In a land—dry, and weary for want of water, —

2 २ इस प्रकार से मैंने पवित्रस्थान में तुझ पर दृष्टि की, कि तेरी सामर्थ्य और महिमा को देखूँ।

In like manner as, in the sanctuary, I have had vision of thee, To behold thy power and thy glory.

3 ३ क्योंकि तेरी करुणा जीवन से भी उत्तम है, मैं तेरी प्रशंसा करूँगा।

Because better is thy lovingkindness than life, My lips, aloud shall praise thee!

4 ४ इसी प्रकार मैं जीवन भर तुझे धन्य कहता रहूँगा; और तेरा नाम लेकर अपने हाथ उठाऊँगा।

Thus, will I bless thee while I live, In thy Name, will I lift up mine outspread hands:

5 ५ मेरा जीव मानो चर्बी और चिकने भोजन से तृप्त होगा, और मैं जयजयकार करके तेरी स्तुति करूँगा।

As with fatness and richness, shall my soul be satisfied, And, with joyfully shouting lips, shall my mouth utter praise.

6 ६ जब मैं बिछौने पर पड़ा तेरा स्मरण करूँगा, तब रात के एक-एक पहर में तुझ पर ध्यान करूँगा;

Should I call thee to mind upon my couch, In the watches of the night, would I breathe soft speech of thee.

7 ७ क्योंकि तू मेरा सहायक बना है, इसलिए मैं तेरे पंखों की छाया में जयजयकार करूँगा।

For thou hast become a help unto me, —And, in the shadow of thy wings, will I shout for joy.

8 ८ मेरा मन तेरे पीछे-पीछे लगा चलता है; और मुझे तो तू अपने दाहिने हाथ से थाम रखता है।

My soul hath run clinging to thee, On me, hath thy right hand laid hold.

9 ९ परन्तु जो मेरे प्राण के खोजी हैं, वे पृथ्वी के नीचे स्थानों में जा पड़ेंगे;

When, they, to crush it, would seek my life, They shall go into the lower parts of the earth:

10 १० वे तलवार से मारे जाएँगे, और गीदड़ों का आहार हो जाएँगे।

Every one shall be given up into the power of the sword, The portion of jackals, shall they become.

11 ११ परन्तु राजा परमेश्वर के कारण आनन्दित होगा; जो कोई परमेश्वर की शपथ खाए, वह बड़ाई करने पाएगा; परन्तु झूठ बोलनेवालों का मुँह बन्द किया जाएगा।

But, the king, shall rejoice in God, —Every one shall glory who sweareth by him, For the mouth of them who speak falsehood, shall be stopped.
