< भजन संहिता 57 >

1 १ प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये अल-तशहेत राग में दाऊद का मिक्ताम; जब वह शाऊल से भागकर गुफा में छिप गया था हे परमेश्वर, मुझ पर दया कर, मुझ पर दया कर, क्योंकि मैं तेरा शरणागत हूँ; और जब तक ये विपत्तियाँ निकल न जाएँ, तब तक मैं तेरे पंखों के तले शरण लिए रहूँगा।
For the music director. According to “Do Not Destroy.” A psalm (miktam) of David concerning the time he fled from Saul and hid in the cave. Please be kind to me, God! Be kind to me because I come to you for protection. I will shelter under the shadow of your wings until the danger is past.
2 २ मैं परमप्रधान परमेश्वर को पुकारूँगा, परमेश्वर को जो मेरे लिये सब कुछ सिद्ध करता है।
I cry out for help to God Most High, to God who vindicates me.
3 ३ परमेश्वर स्वर्ग से भेजकर मुझे बचा लेगा, जब मेरा निगलनेवाला निन्दा कर रहा हो। (सेला) परमेश्वर अपनी करुणा और सच्चाई प्रगट करेगा।
From heaven he sends his help, and he saves me. He defeats those who persecute me. (Selah) God sends me his unfailing love, showing he is completely trustworthy.
4 ४ मेरा प्राण सिंहों के बीच में है, मुझे जलते हुओं के बीच में लेटना पड़ता है, अर्थात् ऐसे मनुष्यों के बीच में जिनके दाँत बर्छी और तीर हैं, और जिनकी जीभ तेज तलवार है।
I am surrounded by man-eating lions—I am forced to live with them! Their teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongues are swords.
5 ५ हे परमेश्वर तू स्वर्ग के ऊपर अति महान और तेजोमय है, तेरी महिमा सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर फैल जाए!
God, your greatness is above the highest heavens; and your glory covers the whole earth!
6 ६ उन्होंने मेरे पैरों के लिये जाल बिछाया है; मेरा प्राण ढला जाता है। उन्होंने मेरे आगे गड्ढा खोदा, परन्तु आप ही उसमें गिर पड़े। (सेला)
They set a trap to catch me. I was so depressed. They dug a pit on my path but they were the ones who fell into it. (Selah)
7 ७ हे परमेश्वर, मेरा मन स्थिर है, मेरा मन स्थिर है; मैं गाऊँगा वरन् भजन कीर्तन करूँगा।
I have confidence in you, God, I have confidence in you. I will sing songs of praise to you.
8 ८ हे मेरे मन जाग जा! हे सारंगी और वीणा जाग जाओ; मैं भी पौ फटते ही जाग उठूँगा।
I say to myself, “Wake up!” Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn!
9 ९ हे प्रभु, मैं देश-देश के लोगों के बीच तेरा धन्यवाद करूँगा; मैं राज्य-राज्य के लोगों के बीच में तेरा भजन गाऊँगा।
I will thank you among the peoples, Lord; I will sing your praises among the nations.
10 १० क्योंकि तेरी करुणा स्वर्ग तक बड़ी है, और तेरी सच्चाई आकाशमण्डल तक पहुँचती है।
Your faithful love reaches to the heavens; your trustworthiness to the clouds.
11 ११ हे परमेश्वर, तू स्वर्ग के ऊपर अति महान है! तेरी महिमा सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर फैल जाए!
God, your greatness is above the highest heavens; and your glory covers the whole earth!
