भजन संहिता 56
1 १ प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये योनतेलेखद्दोकीम में दाऊद का मिक्ताम जब पलिश्तियों ने उसको गत नगर में पकड़ा था हे परमेश्वर, मुझ पर दया कर, क्योंकि मनुष्य मुझे निगलना चाहते हैं; वे दिन भर लड़कर मुझे सताते हैं।
“To the chief musician upon Jonath-elem-rechokim, by David, a Michtham, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.” Be gracious unto me, O God; for man longeth to swallow me up; all the time he oppresseth me fighting.
2 २ मेरे द्रोही दिन भर मुझे निगलना चाहते हैं, क्योंकि जो लोग अभिमान करके मुझसे लड़ते हैं वे बहुत हैं।
Those that regard me with envy long to swallow [me] up all the time; for many are they that fight against me, O thou Most High.
The day [when] I am afraid, I will still trust in thee.
4 ४ परमेश्वर की सहायता से मैं उसके वचन की प्रशंसा करूँगा, परमेश्वर पर मैंने भरोसा रखा है, मैं नहीं डरूँगा। कोई प्राणी मेरा क्या कर सकता है?
In God will I praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid: what can flesh do unto me?
5 ५ वे दिन भर मेरे वचनों को, उलटा अर्थ लगा लगाकर मरोड़ते रहते हैं; उनकी सारी कल्पनाएँ मेरी ही बुराई करने की होती है।
All the day they wrest my words: against me are all their thoughts for evil.
6 ६ वे सब मिलकर इकट्ठे होते हैं और छिपकर बैठते हैं; वे मेरे कदमों को देखते भालते हैं मानो वे मेरे प्राणों की घात में ताक लगाए बैठे हों।
They come together in troops, they hide themselves, they are those that watch my heels, as though they hoped [to take] my soul.
Because of their wrong-doing let me escape from them: in anger cast down the people, O God.
8 ८ तू मेरे मारे-मारे फिरने का हिसाब रखता है; तू मेरे आँसुओं को अपनी कुप्पी में रख ले! क्या उनकी चर्चा तेरी पुस्तक में नहीं है?
My wanderings hast thou well numbered: put thou my tears into thy bottle; behold, they are numbered by thee.
9 ९ तब जिस समय मैं पुकारूँगा, उसी समय मेरे शत्रु उलटे फिरेंगे। यह मैं जानता हूँ, कि परमेश्वर मेरी ओर है।
Then shall my enemies retire backward on the day when I call [on thee]: this I know—that God is for me.
10 १० परमेश्वर की सहायता से मैं उसके वचन की प्रशंसा करूँगा, यहोवा की सहायता से मैं उसके वचन की प्रशंसा करूँगा।
In God will I praise the word: in the Lord will I praise the word.
In God have I put my trust; I will not be afraid: what can man do unto me?
Upon me, O God, [rest] thy vows: I will pay thanksgiving offerings unto thee.
13 १३ क्योंकि तूने मुझ को मृत्यु से बचाया है; तूने मेरे पैरों को भी फिसलने से बचाया है, ताकि मैं परमेश्वर के सामने जीवितों के उजियाले में चलूँ फिरूँ।
For thou hast delivered my soul from death—yea, behold, my feet from slipping, that I may walk before God in the light of the life.
