1 १ गीत। कोरहवंशियों का भजन हमारे परमेश्वर के नगर में, और अपने पवित्र पर्वत पर यहोवा महान और अति स्तुति के योग्य है! (सेला)
A Melodious Song. For the Sons of Korah. Great is Yahweh, and worthy to be mightily praised, In the city of our God, His holy mountain.
2 २ सिय्योन पर्वत ऊँचाई में सुन्दर और सारी पृथ्वी के हर्ष का कारण है, राजाधिराज का नगर उत्तरी सिरे पर है।
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of all the land, Is Mount Zion, in the recesses of the north, —The city of a great king.
3 ३ उसके महलों में परमेश्वर ऊँचा गढ़ माना गया है।
God, in her palaces, is to be known as a high tower.
4 ४ क्योंकि देखो, राजा लोग इकट्ठे हुए, वे एक संग आगे बढ़ गए।
For lo! Kings—Met as appointed, Passed by together;
5 ५ उन्होंने आप ही देखा और देखते ही विस्मित हुए, वे घबराकर भाग गए।
They themselves, saw, So, were they amazed, Dismayed—they hurried way!
6 ६ वहाँ कँपकँपी ने उनको आ पकड़ा, और जच्चा की सी पीड़ाएँ उन्हें होने लगीं।
Trembling, seized them, there, Pangs. like hers who is in travail.
7 ७ तू पूर्वी वायु से तर्शीश के जहाजों को तोड़ डालता है।
With an east wind, wilt thou shatter the ships of Tarshish.
8 ८ सेनाओं के यहोवा के नगर में, अपने परमेश्वर के नगर में, जैसा हमने सुना था, वैसा देखा भी है; परमेश्वर उसको सदा दृढ़ और स्थिर रखेगा।
Just as we have heard, So, have we seen, In the city of Yahweh of hosts, In the city of our God, God himself, will establish her, unto times age-abiding. (Selah)
9 ९ हे परमेश्वर हमने तेरे मन्दिर के भीतर तेरी करुणा पर ध्यान किया है।
We have thought, O God, upon thy lovingkindness, In the midst of thy temple:
10 १० हे परमेश्वर तेरे नाम के योग्य तेरी स्तुति पृथ्वी की छोर तक होती है। तेरा दाहिना हाथ धार्मिकता से भरा है;
According to thy Name, O God, So, be thy praise, unto the ends of the earth, With righteousness, is, thy right hand, filled.
11 ११ तेरे न्याय के कामों के कारण सिय्योन पर्वत आनन्द करे, और यहूदा के नगर की पुत्रियाँ मगन हों!
Let Mount Zion rejoice, Let the daughters of Judah exult, Because of thy judgments.
12 १२ सिय्योन के चारों ओर चलो, और उसकी परिक्रमा करो, उसके गुम्मटों को गिन लो,
Go round Zion, and compass her about, Reckon up her towers;
13 १३ उसकी शहरपनाह पर दृष्टि लगाओ, उसके महलों को ध्यान से देखो; जिससे कि तुम आनेवाली पीढ़ी के लोगों से इस बात का वर्णन कर सको।
Apply your mind to her rampart, Pass between her palaces, That ye may recount them to an after generation;
14 १४ क्योंकि वह परमेश्वर सदा सर्वदा हमारा परमेश्वर है, वह मृत्यु तक हमारी अगुआई करेगा।
For, this God, is our God, to times age-abiding and beyond, He himself, will conduct us till death.
