भजन संहिता 47

1 १ प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये कोरहवंशियों का भजन हे देश-देश के सब लोगों, तालियाँ बजाओ! ऊँचे शब्द से परमेश्वर के लिये जयजयकार करो!

Oh clap your hands, all you nations. Shout to God with the voice of triumph!

2 २ क्योंकि यहोवा परमप्रधान और भययोग्य है, वह सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर महाराजा है।

For Adonai Most High is awesome. He is a great King over all the earth.

3 ३ वह देश-देश के लोगों को हमारे सम्मुख नीचा करता, और जाति-जाति को हमारे पाँवों के नीचे कर देता है।

He subdues nations under us, and peoples under our feet.

4 ४ वह हमारे लिये उत्तम भाग चुन लेगा, जो उसके प्रिय याकूब के घमण्ड का कारण है। (सेला)

He chooses our inheritance for us, the glory of Jacob [Supplanter] whom he 'ahav ·affectionately loved·. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.

5 ५ परमेश्वर जयजयकार सहित, यहोवा नरसिंगे के शब्द के साथ ऊपर गया है।

God has gone up with a shout, Adonai with the sound of a shofar ·ram horn·.

6 ६ परमेश्वर का भजन गाओ, भजन गाओ! हमारे महाराजा का भजन गाओ, भजन गाओ!

Sing zahmar ·musical praise· to God, sing zahmar ·musical praise·. Sing zahmar ·musical praise· to our King, sing zahmar ·musical praise·.

7 ७ क्योंकि परमेश्वर सारी पृथ्वी का महाराजा है; समझ बूझकर बुद्धि से भजन गाओ।

For God is the King of all the earth. Sing zahmar ·musical praise· with understanding.

8 ८ परमेश्वर जाति-जाति पर राज्य करता है; परमेश्वर अपने पवित्र सिंहासन पर विराजमान है।

God reigns over the nations. God sits on his holy throne.

9 ९ राज्य-राज्य के रईस अब्राहम के परमेश्वर की प्रजा होने के लिये इकट्ठे हुए हैं। क्योंकि पृथ्वी की ढालें परमेश्वर के वश में हैं, वह तो शिरोमणि है।

The princes of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham [Father of a multitude]. For the shields of the earth belong to God. He is greatly exalted!
