भजन संहिता 38

1 १ यादगार के लिये दाऊद का भजन हे यहोवा क्रोध में आकर मुझे झिड़क न दे, और न जलजलाहट में आकर मेरी ताड़ना कर!

“A psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.” O Lord, correct me not in thy wrath, nor chastise me in thy fury.

2 २ क्योंकि तेरे तीर मुझ में लगे हैं, और मैं तेरे हाथ के नीचे दबा हूँ।

For thy arrows have penetrated into me, and thy hand presseth down upon me.

3 ३ तेरे क्रोध के कारण मेरे शरीर में कुछ भी आरोग्यता नहीं; और मेरे पाप के कारण मेरी हड्डियों में कुछ भी चैन नहीं।

There is no soundness in my flesh because of thy indignation: there is no peace in my bones because of my sin.

4 ४ क्योंकि मेरे अधर्म के कामों में मेरा सिर डूब गया, और वे भारी बोझ के समान मेरे सहने से बाहर हो गए हैं।

For my iniquities are passed over my head, as a heavy burden are they too heavy for me.

5 ५ मेरी मूर्खता के पाप के कारण मेरे घाव सड़ गए और उनसे दुर्गन्ध आती हैं।

Foul, corrupt are my bruises because of my folly.

6 ६ मैं बहुत दुःखी हूँ और झुक गया हूँ; दिन भर मैं शोक का पहरावा पहने हुए चलता फिरता हूँ।

I am bent double; I am bowed down to the utmost; all the day long I go about full of grief.

7 ७ क्योंकि मेरी कमर में जलन है, और मेरे शरीर में आरोग्यता नहीं।

For my loins are filled with a burning disease, and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8 ८ मैं निर्बल और बहुत ही चूर हो गया हूँ; मैं अपने मन की घबराहट से कराहता हूँ।

I am made faint and crushed to the utmost; I cry aloud because of the groaning of my heart.

9 ९ हे प्रभु मेरी सारी अभिलाषा तेरे सम्मुख है, और मेरा कराहना तुझ से छिपा नहीं।

Lord, before thee is all my longing; and my sighing is from thee not hidden.

10 १० मेरा हृदय धड़कता है, मेरा बल घटता जाता है; और मेरी आँखों की ज्योति भी मुझसे जाती रही।

My heart is restless, my strength hath left me; and the light of my eyes—that also is no more with me.

11 ११ मेरे मित्र और मेरे संगी मेरी विपत्ति में अलग हो गए, और मेरे कुटुम्बी भी दूर जा खड़े हुए।

My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

12 १२ मेरे प्राण के ग्राहक मेरे लिये जाल बिछाते हैं, और मेरी हानि का यत्न करनेवाले दुष्टता की बातें बोलते, और दिन भर छल की युक्ति सोचते हैं।

They also that seek after my life lay snares; and they that wish for my mishap speak wicked falsehoods; and deceits do they devise all the day long.

13 १३ परन्तु मैं बहरे के समान सुनता ही नहीं, और मैं गूँगे के समान मुँह नहीं खोलता।

But I, as a deaf man, hear not; and I am as a dumb man that cannot open his mouth.

14 १४ वरन् मैं ऐसे मनुष्य के तुल्य हूँ जो कुछ नहीं सुनता, और जिसके मुँह से विवाद की कोई बात नहीं निकलती।

Thus am I as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no words of defence.

15 १५ परन्तु हे यहोवा, मैंने तुझ ही पर अपनी आशा लगाई है; हे प्रभु, मेरे परमेश्वर, तू ही उत्तर देगा।

For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt answer, O Lord my God.

16 १६ क्योंकि मैंने कहा, “ऐसा न हो कि वे मुझ पर आनन्द करें; जब मेरा पाँव फिसल जाता है, तब मुझ पर अपनी बड़ाई मारते हैं।”

For I said, Perhaps they might rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they might magnify themselves over me.

17 १७ क्योंकि मैं तो अब गिरने ही पर हूँ; और मेरा शोक निरन्तर मेरे सामने है।

For I am prepared for [my] downfall, and my pain is continually before me.

18 १८ इसलिए कि मैं तो अपने अधर्म को प्रगट करूँगा, और अपने पाप के कारण खेदित रहूँगा।

For I will tell of my iniquity; I will be grieved because of my sin.

19 १९ परन्तु मेरे शत्रु अनगिनत हैं, और मेरे बैरी बहुत हो गए हैं।

But my enemies are strong in life; and numerous are those that hate me wrongfully;

20 २० जो भलाई के बदले में बुराई करते हैं, वह भी मेरे भलाई के पीछे चलने के कारण मुझसे विरोध करते हैं।

They also that repay [me] evil in lieu of good; they hate me bitterly because I pursue what is good.

21 २१ हे यहोवा, मुझे छोड़ न दे! हे मेरे परमेश्वर, मुझसे दूर न हो!

Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.

22 २२ हे यहोवा, हे मेरे उद्धारकर्ता, मेरी सहायता के लिये फुर्ती कर!

Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
