1 १ दाऊद का भजन। जब वह अपने पुत्र अबशालोम के सामने से भागा जाता था हे यहोवा मेरे सतानेवाले कितने बढ़ गए हैं! वे जो मेरे विरुद्ध उठते हैं बहुत हैं।
Adonai, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me.
2 २ बहुत से मेरे विषय में कहते हैं, कि उसका बचाव परमेश्वर की ओर से नहीं हो सकता। (सेला)
Many there are who say of my soul, “There is no yishu'ah ·salvation· for him in God.” (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·
3 ३ परन्तु हे यहोवा, तू तो मेरे चारों ओर मेरी ढाल है, तू मेरी महिमा और मेरे मस्तक का ऊँचा करनेवाला है।
But you, Adonai, are a shield around me, my kavod ·weighty glory·, and the one who lifts up my head.
4 ४ मैं ऊँचे शब्द से यहोवा को पुकारता हूँ, और वह अपने पवित्र पर्वत पर से मुझे उत्तर देता है। (सेला)
I cry to Adonai with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·
5 ५ मैं लेटकर सो गया; फिर जाग उठा, क्योंकि यहोवा मुझे सम्भालता है।
I laid myself down and slept. I awakened; for Adonai sustains me.
6 ६ मैं उस भीड़ से नहीं डरता, जो मेरे विरुद्ध चारों ओर पाँति बाँधे खड़े हैं।
I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.
7 ७ उठ, हे यहोवा! हे मेरे परमेश्वर मुझे बचा ले! क्योंकि तूने मेरे सब शत्रुओं के जबड़ों पर मारा है। और तूने दुष्टों के दाँत तोड़ डाले हैं।
Arise, Adonai! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
8 ८ उद्धार यहोवा ही की ओर से होता है; हे यहोवा तेरी आशीष तेरी प्रजा पर हो।
Yishu'ah ·Salvation· belongs to Adonai. Your blessing be on your people. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·
