भजन संहिता 28

1 १ दाऊद का भजन हे यहोवा, मैं तुझी को पुकारूँगा; हे मेरी चट्टान, मेरी पुकार अनसुनी न कर, ऐसा न हो कि तेरे चुप रहने से मैं कब्र में पड़े हुओं के समान हो जाऊँ जो पाताल में चले जाते हैं।

David’s. Unto thee, O Yahweh, do I cry, O my Rock! do not turn in silence from me, —lest, if thou turn from me in silence, I be like them who go down into the pit.

2 २ जब मैं तेरी दुहाई दूँ, और तेरे पवित्रस्थान की भीतरी कोठरी की ओर अपने हाथ उठाऊँ, तब मेरी गिड़गिड़ाहट की बात सुन ले।

Hear the voice of my supplication, when I cry to thee for help, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy shrine.

3 ३ उन दुष्टों और अनर्थकारियों के संग मुझे न घसीट; जो अपने पड़ोसियों से बातें तो मेल की बोलते हैं, परन्तु हृदय में बुराई रखते हैं।

Do not drag me away—with the lawless, or with the workers of iniquity, —who speak peaceably with their neighbours, but, wrong, is in their heart.

4 ४ उनके कामों के और उनकी करनी की बुराई के अनुसार उनसे बर्ताव कर, उनके हाथों के काम के अनुसार उन्हें बदला दे; उनके कामों का पलटा उन्हें दे।

Give them, according to their deed, and, according to the wrong of their practices, —According to the work of their own hands, give thou unto them, Bring back their own dealing to themselves.

5 ५ क्योंकि वे यहोवा के कामों को और उसके हाथ के कामों को नहीं समझते, इसलिए वह उन्हें पछाड़ेगा और फिर न उठाएगा।

Because they heed not The Deeds of Yahweh, or the Work of his hands, he will pull them down, and not build them.

6 ६ यहोवा धन्य है; क्योंकि उसने मेरी गिड़गिड़ाहट को सुना है।

Blessed be Yahweh, Because he hath heard the voice of my supplication.

7 ७ यहोवा मेरा बल और मेरी ढाल है; उस पर भरोसा रखने से मेरे मन को सहायता मिली है; इसलिए मेरा हृदय प्रफुल्लित है; और मैं गीत गाकर उसका धन्यवाद करूँगा।

Yahweh, is my strength and my shield, In him, hath trusted my heart, and I have found help, —Therefore hath my heart danced for joy, and, with my song, do I praise him.

8 ८ यहोवा अपने लोगों की सामर्थ्य है, वह अपने अभिषिक्त के लिये उद्धार का दृढ़ गढ़ है।

Yahweh, is strength to his people, —And, the all-saving refuge of his Anointed One, is he!

9 ९ हे यहोवा अपनी प्रजा का उद्धार कर, और अपने निज भाग के लोगों को आशीष दे; और उनकी चरवाही कर और सदैव उन्हें सम्भाले रह।

Oh save thy people, and bless thine inheritance, Tend them also, and carry them, Unto times age-abiding.
