भजन संहिता 23

1 १ दाऊद का भजन यहोवा मेरा चरवाहा है, मुझे कुछ घटी न होगी।

“A psalm of David.” The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

2 २ वह मुझे हरी-हरी चराइयों में बैठाता है; वह मुझे सुखदाई जल के झरने के पास ले चलता है;

In pastures of tender grass he causeth me to lie down: beside still waters he leadeth me.

3 ३ वह मेरे जी में जी ले आता है। धार्मिकता के मार्गों में वह अपने नाम के निमित्त मेरी अगुआई करता है।

My soul he refresheth: he guideth me in the tracks of righteousness for the sake of his name.

4 ४ चाहे मैं घोर अंधकार से भरी हुई तराई में होकर चलूँ, तो भी हानि से न डरूँगा, क्योंकि तू मेरे साथ रहता है; तेरे सोंटे और तेरी लाठी से मुझे शान्ति मिलती है।

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil; for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff—they indeed comfort me.

5 ५ तू मेरे सतानेवालों के सामने मेरे लिये मेज बिछाता है; तूने मेरे सिर पर तेल मला है, मेरा कटोरा उमड़ रहा है।

Thou preparest before me a table in the presence of my assailants; thou anointest with oil my head: my cup overfloweth.

6 ६ निश्चय भलाई और करुणा जीवन भर मेरे साथ-साथ बनी रहेंगी; और मैं यहोवा के धाम में सर्वदा वास करूँगा।

Surely, only goodness and kindness shall follow me all the days of my life: and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord to the utmost length of days.
