भजन संहिता 2
Wherefore do nations rage, and people meditate a vain thing?
2 २ यहोवा के और उसके अभिषिक्त के विरुद्ध पृथ्वी के राजागण मिलकर, और हाकिम आपस में षड्यंत्र रचकर, कहते हैं,
The kings of the earth raise themselves up, and rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed:
“Let us break asunder their bands, and cast away from us their cords.”
He who dwelleth in the heavens will laugh: the Lord will hold them in derision.
Then will he speak unto them in his anger, and in his displeasure will he terrify them.
[Saying, ] Yet have I appointed my king upon Zion my holy mount.
7 ७ मैं उस वचन का प्रचार करूँगा: जो यहोवा ने मुझसे कहा, “तू मेरा पुत्र है; आज मैं ही ने तुझे जन्माया है।
I will announce the decree, the Lord hath said unto me, “My son art thou: I have indeed this day begotten thee.
8 ८ मुझसे माँग, और मैं जाति-जाति के लोगों को तेरी सम्पत्ति होने के लिये, और दूर-दूर के देशों को तेरी निज भूमि बनने के लिये दे दूँगा।
Ask it of me, and I will give thee nations for an inheritance, and for thy possession the uttermost ends of the earth.
9 ९ तू उन्हें लोहे के डंडे से टुकड़े-टुकड़े करेगा। तू कुम्हार के बर्तन के समान उन्हें चकनाचूर कर डालेगा।”
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; like a potter's vessel shalt thou dash them in pieces.”
And now, O ye kings, be wise: take warning, ye judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 १२ पुत्र को चूमो ऐसा न हो कि वह क्रोध करे, और तुम मार्ग ही में नाश हो जाओ, क्योंकि क्षण भर में उसका क्रोध भड़कने को है। धन्य है वे जो उसमें शरण लेते है।
Do homage to the son, lest he be angry, and ye be lost on the way; for his wrath is so speedily kindled. Happy are all they that put their trust in him.
