भजन संहिता 18
1 १ प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये। यहोवा के दास दाऊद का गीत, जिसके वचन उसने यहोवा के लिये उस समय गाया जब यहोवा ने उसको उसके सारे शत्रुओं के हाथ से, और शाऊल के हाथ से बचाया था, उसने कहा हे यहोवा, हे मेरे बल, मैं तुझ से प्रेम करता हूँ।
For the end, [a Psalm] of David, the servant of the Lord; [the words] which he spoke to the Lord, [even] the words of this Song, in the day in which the Lord delivered him out the hand of all his enemies, and out the hand of Saul: and he said: I will love you, O Lord, my strength.
2 २ यहोवा मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा गढ़ और मेरा छुड़ानेवाला है; मेरा परमेश्वर, मेरी चट्टान है, जिसका मैं शरणागत हूँ, वह मेरी ढाल और मेरी उद्धार का सींग, और मेरा ऊँचा गढ़ है।
The Lord is my firm support, and my refuge, and my deliverer; my God is my helper, I will hope in him; [he is] my defender, and the horn of my salvation, and my helper.
I will call upon the Lord with praises, and I shall be saved from mine enemies.
The pangs of death compassed me, and the torrents of ungodliness troubled me exceedingly.
The pangs of hell came round about me: the snares of death prevented me. (Sheol h7585)
6 ६ अपने संकट में मैंने यहोवा परमेश्वर को पुकारा; मैंने अपने परमेश्वर की दुहाई दी। और उसने अपने मन्दिर में से मेरी वाणी सुनी। और मेरी दुहाई उसके पास पहुँचकर उसके कानों में पड़ी।
And when I was afflicted I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: he heard my voice out of this holy temple, and my cry shall enter before him, [even] into his ears.
7 ७ तब पृथ्वी हिल गई, और काँप उठी और पहाड़ों की नींव कँपित होकर हिल गई क्योंकि वह अति क्रोधित हुआ था।
Then the earth shook and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains were disturbed, and were shaken, because God was angry with them.
There went up a smoke in his wrath, and fire burst into a flame at his presence: coals were kindled at it.
And he bowed the heaven, and came down: and thick darkness was under his feet.
And he mounted on cherubs and flew: he flew on the wings of winds.
And he made darkness his secret place: round about him was his tabernacle, [even] dark water in the clouds of the air.
At the brightness before him the clouds passed, hail and coals of fire.
The Lord also thundered from heaven, and the Highest uttered his voice.
14 १४ उसने अपने तीर चला-चलाकर शत्रुओं को तितर-बितर किया; वरन् बिजलियाँ गिरा गिराकर उनको परास्त किया।
And he sent forth [his] weapons, and scattered them; and multiplied lightnings, and routed them.
15 १५ तब जल के नाले देख पड़े, और जगत की नींव प्रगट हुई, यह तो यहोवा तेरी डाँट से, और तेरे नथनों की साँस की झोंक से हुआ।
And the springs of waters appeared, and the foundations of the world were exposed, at your rebuke, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of your wrath.
He sent from on high and took me, he drew me to himself out of many waters.
17 १७ उसने मेरे बलवन्त शत्रु से, और उनसे जो मुझसे घृणा करते थे, मुझे छुड़ाया; क्योंकि वे अधिक सामर्थी थे।
He will deliver me from my mighty enemies, and from them that hate me; for they are stronger than I.
They prevented me in the day of mine affliction: but the Lord was my stay against [them].
19 १९ और उसने मुझे निकालकर चौड़े स्थान में पहुँचाया, उसने मुझ को छुड़ाया, क्योंकि वह मुझसे प्रसन्न था।
And he brought me out into a wide place: he will deliver me, because he has pleasure in me.
20 २० यहोवा ने मुझसे मेरी धार्मिकता के अनुसार व्यवहार किया; और मेरे हाथों की शुद्धता के अनुसार उसने मुझे बदला दिया।
And the Lord will recompense me according to my righteousness; even according to the purity of my hands will he recompense me.
For I have kept the way of the Lord and have not wickedly departed from my God.
For all his judgments were before me, and his ordinances departed not from me.
And I shall be blameless with hem, and shall keep myself from mine iniquity.
24 २४ यहोवा ने मुझे मेरी धार्मिकता के अनुसार बदला दिया, और मेरे हाथों की उस शुद्धता के अनुसार जिसे वह देखता था।
And the Lord shall recompense me according to my righteousness, and according to the purity of my hands before his eyes.
25 २५ विश्वासयोग्य के साथ तू अपने को विश्वासयोग्य दिखाता; और खरे पुरुष के साथ तू अपने को खरा दिखाता है।
With the holy you will be holy; and with the innocent man you will be innocent.
And with the excellent [man] you will be excellent; and with the perverse you will show frowardness.
For you will save the lowly people, and will humble the eyes of the proud.
For you, O Lord, will light my lamp: my God, you will lighten my darkness.
29 २९ क्योंकि तेरी सहायता से मैं सेना पर धावा करता हूँ; और अपने परमेश्वर की सहायता से शहरपनाह को लाँघ जाता हूँ।
For by you shall I be delivered from a troop; and by my God I will pass over a wall.
[As for] my God, his way is perfect: the oracles of the Lord are tried in the fire; he is a protector of all them that hope in him.
For who is God but the Lord? and who is a God except our God?
[It is] God that girds me with strength, and has made my way blameless:
who strengthens my feet as hart's feet, and sets me upon high places.
He instructs my hands for war: and you have made my arms [as] a brazen bow.
35 ३५ तूने मुझ को अपने बचाव की ढाल दी है, तू अपने दाहिने हाथ से मुझे सम्भाले हुए है, और तेरी नम्रता ने मुझे महान बनाया है।
And you have made me secure in my salvation: and your right hand has helped me, and your correction has upheld me to the end; yes, your correction itself shall instruct me.
You has made room for my goings under me, and by footsteps did not fail.
I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them; and I will not turn back until they are consumed.
I will dash them to pieces and they shall not be able to stand: they shall fall under my feet.
39 ३९ क्योंकि तूने युद्ध के लिये मेरी कमर में शक्ति का पटुका बाँधा है; और मेरे विरोधियों को मेरे सम्मुख नीचा कर दिया।
For you have girded me with strength for war: you have beaten down under me all that rose up against me.
And you has made mine enemies turn their backs before me; and you have destroyed them that hated me.
41 ४१ उन्होंने दुहाई तो दी परन्तु उन्हें कोई बचानेवाला न मिला, उन्होंने यहोवा की भी दुहाई दी, परन्तु उसने भी उनको उत्तर न दिया।
They cried, but there was no deliverer: [even] to the Lord, but he listened not to them.
42 ४२ तब मैंने उनको कूट कूटकर पवन से उड़ाई हुई धूल के समान कर दिया; मैंने उनको मार्ग के कीचड़ के समान निकाल फेंका।
I will grind them as the mud of the streets: and I will beat them small as dust before the wind.
43 ४३ तूने मुझे प्रजा के झगड़ों से भी छुड़ाया; तूने मुझे अन्यजातियों का प्रधान बनाया है; जिन लोगों को मैं जानता भी न था वे मेरी सेवा करते है।
Deliver me from the gain sayings of the people: you shall make me head of the Gentiles: a people whom I knew not served me,
at the hearing of the ear they obeyed me: the strange children lied to me.
The strange children waxed old, and fell away from their paths through lameness.
The Lord lives; and blessed [be] my God; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
[It is] God that avenges me, and has subdued the nations under me;
48 ४८ और मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं से छुड़ाया है; तू मुझ को मेरे विरोधियों से ऊँचा करता, और उपद्रवी पुरुष से बचाता है।
my deliverer from angry enemies: you shall set me on high above them that rise up against me: you shall deliver me from the unrighteous man.
Therefore will I confess to you, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing to your name.
50 ५० वह अपने ठहराए हुए राजा को महान विजय देता है, वह अपने अभिषिक्त दाऊद पर और उसके वंश पर युगानुयुग करुणा करता रहेगा।
[God] magnifies the deliverances of his king; and deals mercifully with David his anointed, and his seed, for ever.
