भजन संहिता 149

1 १ यहोवा की स्तुति करो! यहोवा के लिये नया गीत गाओ, भक्तों की सभा में उसकी स्तुति गाओ!

Praise ye Jehovah. Sing to Jehovah a new song, and his praise in the assembly of the sanctified.

2 २ इस्राएल अपने कर्ता के कारण आनन्दित हो, सिय्योन के निवासी अपने राजा के कारण मगन हों!

Let Israel rejoice in him who made him. Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 ३ वे नाचते हुए उसके नाम की स्तुति करें, और डफ और वीणा बजाते हुए उसका भजन गाएँ!

Let them praise his name in the dance. Let them sing praises to him with timbrel and harp.

4 ४ क्योंकि यहोवा अपनी प्रजा से प्रसन्न रहता है; वह नम्र लोगों का उद्धार करके उन्हें शोभायमान करेगा।

For Jehovah takes pleasure in his people. He will beautify the meek with salvation.

5 ५ भक्त लोग महिमा के कारण प्रफुल्लित हों; और अपने बिछौनों पर भी पड़े-पड़े जयजयकार करें।

Let the sanctified exult in glory. Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

6 ६ उनके कण्ठ से परमेश्वर की प्रशंसा हो, और उनके हाथों में दोधारी तलवारें रहें,

The high praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand

7 ७ कि वे जाति-जाति से पलटा ले सके; और राज्य-राज्य के लोगों को ताड़ना दें,

to execute vengeance upon the nations, and punishments upon the peoples,

8 ८ और उनके राजाओं को जंजीरों से, और उनके प्रतिष्ठित पुरुषों को लोहे की बेड़ियों से जकड़ रखें,

to bind their kings with chains, and their ranking men with fetters of iron,

9 ९ और उनको ठहराया हुआ दण्ड देंगे! उसके सब भक्तों की ऐसी ही प्रतिष्ठा होगी। यहोवा की स्तुति करो।

to execute upon them the judgment written. All his sanctified have this honor. Praise ye Jehovah.
