भजन संहिता 138

1 १ दाऊद का भजन मैं पूरे मन से तेरा धन्यवाद करूँगा; देवताओं के सामने भी मैं तेरा भजन गाऊँगा।

“By David.” I will praise thee with my whole heart: before [thee], O God, will I sing praise unto thee.

2 २ मैं तेरे पवित्र मन्दिर की ओर दण्डवत् करूँगा, और तेरी करुणा और सच्चाई के कारण तेरे नाम का धन्यवाद करूँगा; क्योंकि तूने अपने वचन को और अपने बड़े नाम को सबसे अधिक महत्त्व दिया है।

I will bow myself down before thy holy temple, and I will thank thy name for thy kindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified above all thy name thy promise.

3 ३ जिस दिन मैंने पुकारा, उसी दिन तूने मेरी सुन ली, और मुझ में बल देकर हियाव बन्धाया।

On the day when I called didst thou answer me, and raise me up with strength in my soul.

4 ४ हे यहोवा, पृथ्वी के सब राजा तेरा धन्यवाद करेंगे, क्योंकि उन्होंने तेरे वचन सुने हैं;

All the kings of the earth will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, when they hear the promises of thy mouth.

5 ५ और वे यहोवा की गति के विषय में गाएँगे, क्योंकि यहोवा की महिमा बड़ी है।

And they will sing on the ways of the Lord; for great is the glory of the Lord.

6 ६ यद्यपि यहोवा महान है, तो भी वह नम्र मनुष्य की ओर दृष्टि करता है; परन्तु अहंकारी को दूर ही से पहचानता है।

For exalted is the Lord, yet doth he regard the lowly; but the proud he punisheth from afar.

7 ७ चाहे मैं संकट के बीच में चलूँ तो भी तू मुझे सुरक्षित रखेगा, तू मेरे क्रोधित शत्रुओं के विरुद्ध हाथ बढ़ाएगा, और अपने दाहिने हाथ से मेरा उद्धार करेगा।

If I should walk in the midst of distress, thou wilt revive me: against the wrath of my enemies wilt thou stretch forth thy hand, and thy right hand will save me.

8 ८ यहोवा मेरे लिये सब कुछ पूरा करेगा; हे यहोवा, तेरी करुणा सदा की है। तू अपने हाथों के कार्यों को त्याग न दे।

The Lord will accomplish [all] in my behalf; O Lord, thy kindness endureth for ever: the works of thy own hands do not abandon.
