भजन संहिता 123

1 १ यात्रा का गीत हे स्वर्ग में विराजमान मैं अपनी आँखें तेरी ओर उठाता हूँ!

A Song of Ascents. Unto thee do I lift up mine eyes, O thou that sittest in the heavens.

2 २ देख, जैसे दासों की आँखें अपने स्वामियों के हाथ की ओर, और जैसे दासियों की आँखें अपनी स्वामिनी के हाथ की ओर लगी रहती है, वैसे ही हमारी आँखें हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर उस समय तक लगी रहेंगी, जब तक वह हम पर दया न करे।

Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] unto the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes [look] unto the LORD our God, until he have mercy upon us.

3 ३ हम पर दया कर, हे यहोवा, हम पर कृपा कर, क्योंकि हम अपमान से बहुत ही भर गए हैं।

Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

4 ४ हमारा जीव सुखी लोगों के उपहास से, और अहंकारियों के अपमान से बहुत ही भर गया है।

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
