भजन संहिता 104
1 १ हे मेरे मन, तू यहोवा को धन्य कह! हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा, तू अत्यन्त महान है! तू वैभव और ऐश्वर्य का वस्त्र पहने हुए है,
Bless, O my soul, Yahweh, —Yahweh, my God, thou art exceedingly great, With honour and majesty, hast thou clothed thyself,
Putting on light, as a robe, Stretching out the heavens, as a curtain;
3 ३ तू अपनी अटारियों की कड़ियाँ जल में धरता है, और मेघों को अपना रथ बनाता है, और पवन के पंखों पर चलता है,
Building, in the waters, his upper chambers, —Who maketh clouds his chariot, Who passeth along on the wings of the wind;
Making His messengers, winds, His attendants, a flaming fire;
He hath fixed the earth on its foundations, It is not to be shaken, to times age-abiding and beyond.
With the resounding deep—as a garment, hast thou covered it, Above the mountains, stand the waters;
At thy rebuke, they flee, At the voice of thy thunder, they hurry away;
8 ८ वह पहाड़ों पर चढ़ गया, और तराइयों के मार्ग से उस स्थान में उतर गया जिसे तूने उसके लिये तैयार किया था।
Mountains rise, Valleys sink, Unto the place which thou hast fixed for them;
Bounds, hast thou set, which they are not to pass over, They are not to return to cover the earth.
Who hast sent forth springs, through the torrent-beds, Between the mountains, they flow along;
They give drink, to every wild beast of the field, The wild asses do break their thirst.
Over them, the bird of the heavens settleth down, From amidst the foliage, they utter a voice.
Who watereth the mountains out of his upper chambers, Out of the fruit of thy works, thou satisfiest the earth.
14 १४ तू पशुओं के लिये घास, और मनुष्यों के काम के लिये अन्न आदि उपजाता है, और इस रीति भूमि से वह भोजन-वस्तुएँ उत्पन्न करता है
Who causeth the grass to shoot forth for the cattle, And the herb, for the service of man, That he may bring forth food out of the earth;
15 १५ और दाखमधु जिससे मनुष्य का मन आनन्दित होता है, और तेल जिससे उसका मुख चमकता है, और अन्न जिससे वह सम्भल जाता है।
And, wine, may rejoice the heart of man, Making radiant his well-nourished face, —And, food, may, the heart of man, sustain.
Satisfied are, The trees of Yahweh, The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
Where the birds build their nests, The stork, in the fir-trees, hath her house;
The high mountains, are for the chamois, The crags, are a refuge for the conies.
He hath made the moon for seasons, And, the sun, knoweth his place for entering in.
Thou causest darkness, and it becometh night, Therein, creepeth forth, Every wild beast of the forest;
The young lions, roaring for prey, And seeking, from GOD, their food.
The sun ariseth, they withdraw themselves, And, in their lairs, lay them down.
Man goeth forth to his work, And to his labour, until evening.
24 २४ हे यहोवा, तेरे काम अनगिनत हैं! इन सब वस्तुओं को तूने बुद्धि से बनाया है; पृथ्वी तेरी सम्पत्ति से परिपूर्ण है।
How thy works abound, O Yahweh! All of them—in wisdom, hast thou made, The earth is full of thy possession: —
25 २५ इसी प्रकार समुद्र बड़ा और बहुत ही चौड़ा है, और उसमें अनगिनत जलचर जीव-जन्तु, क्या छोटे, क्या बड़े भरे पड़े हैं।
This sea here, is great and broad on both hands, —Wherein are creeping things, even without number, Living things, small with great;
There, ships, sail along, This sea-monster, thou hast formed to sport therein;
All of them, for thee, do wait, That thou mayest give them their food in its season;
28 २८ तू उन्हें देता है, वे चुन लेते हैं; तू अपनी मुट्ठी खोलता है और वे उत्तम पदार्थों से तृप्त होते हैं।
Thou givest unto them, they gather, Thou openest thy hand, they are satisfied with good.
29 २९ तू मुख फेर लेता है, और वे घबरा जाते हैं; तू उनकी साँस ले लेता है, और उनके प्राण छूट जाते हैं और मिट्टी में फिर मिल जाते हैं।
Thou hidest thy face, they are dismayed, Thou withdrawest their spirit, They cease to breathe, And, unto their own dust, do they return:
Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, And thou renewest the face of the ground.
Be thy glory, O Yahweh, to times age-abiding, Let Yahweh rejoice in his own works:
Who looketh at the earth, and it trembleth, He toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.
33 ३३ मैं जीवन भर यहोवा का गीत गाता रहूँगा; जब तक मैं बना रहूँगा तब तक अपने परमेश्वर का भजन गाता रहूँगा।
I will sing to Yahweh, as long as I live! Yea I will touch the strings to my God, while I continue;
Pleasing unto him, be my (meditation) I, will rejoice in Yahweh.
35 ३५ पापी लोग पृथ्वी पर से मिट जाएँ, और दुष्ट लोग आगे को न रहें! हे मेरे मन यहोवा को धन्य कह! यहोवा की स्तुति करो!
Sinners shall be consumed out of the earth And, the lawless, no more, shall exist, —Bless, O my soul, Yahweh, Praise ye Yah!
