मत्ती 10
1 १ फिर उसने अपने बारह चेलों को पास बुलाकर, उन्हें अशुद्ध आत्माओं पर अधिकार दिया, कि उन्हें निकालें और सब प्रकार की बीमारियों और सब प्रकार की दुर्बलताओं को दूर करें।
He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
2 २ इन बारह प्रेरितों के नाम ये हैं: पहला शमौन, जो पतरस कहलाता है, और उसका भाई अन्द्रियास; जब्दी का पुत्र याकूब, और उसका भाई यूहन्ना;
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simeon [Hearing], who is called Peter [Rock]; Andrew [Manly], his brother; James son of Zebedee [Surplanter son of Yah Has Bestowed]; John [Yah is gracious], his brother;
Philip [Loves horses]; Bartholomew [Son who suspends waters]; Thomas [Seeker of truth]; Matthew [Gift of Yah] the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus [Surplanter son-of Changing]; Lebbaeus [Child of courage], who was also called Thaddaeus [Child of heart];
Simeon [Hearing] the Canaanite [Descendant of Humbled]; and Judas Iscariot [Praised Dagger-man], who also betrayed him.
5 ५ इन बारहों को यीशु ने यह निर्देश देकर भेजा, “अन्यजातियों की ओर न जाना, और सामरियों के किसी नगर में प्रवेश न करना।
Yeshua [Salvation] sent these twelve out, and commanded them, saying, “Don’t go among the Gentiles, and don’t enter into any city of the Samaritans [people from Watch-mountain].
Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel [God prevails].
As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven (God) is at hand!’
8 ८ बीमारों को चंगा करो: मरे हुओं को जिलाओ, कोढ़ियों को शुद्ध करो, दुष्टात्माओं को निकालो। तुम ने सेंत-मेंत पाया है, सेंत-मेंत दो।
Heal the sick, cleanse the people afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy·, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.
Don’t take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.
10 १० मार्ग के लिये न झोली रखो, न दो कुर्ता, न जूते और न लाठी लो, क्योंकि मजदूर को उसका भोजन मिलना चाहिए।
Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
11 ११ “जिस किसी नगर या गाँव में जाओ तो पता लगाओ कि वहाँ कौन योग्य है? और जब तक वहाँ से न निकलो, उसी के यहाँ रहो।
Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on.
As you enter into the household, say “Shalom aleikhem! ·Complete peace my family·!
13 १३ यदि उस घर के लोग योग्य होंगे तो तुम्हारा कल्याण उन पर पहुँचेगा परन्तु यदि वे योग्य न हों तो तुम्हारा कल्याण तुम्हारे पास लौट आएगा।
If the household deserves it, let your shalom ·complete peace· come on it, but if it is not, let your shalom ·complete peace· make teshuvah ·complete return· to you.
14 १४ और जो कोई तुम्हें ग्रहण न करे, और तुम्हारी बातें न सुने, उस घर या उस नगर से निकलते हुए अपने पाँवों की धूल झाड़ डालो।
Whoever does not receive you, nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet.
15 १५ मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ, कि न्याय के दिन उस नगर की दशा से सदोम और गमोरा के नगरों की दशा अधिक सहने योग्य होगी।
Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom [Burning] and Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants] in the day of judgment than for that city.
16 १६ “देखो, मैं तुम्हें भेड़ों की तरह भेड़ियों के बीच में भेजता हूँ इसलिए साँपों की तरह बुद्धिमान और कबूतरों की तरह भोले बनो।
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
17 १७ परन्तु लोगों से सावधान रहो, क्योंकि वे तुम्हें सभाओं में सौंपेंगे, और अपने आराधनालयों में तुम्हें कोड़े मारेंगे।
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you.
18 १८ तुम मेरे लिये राज्यपालों और राजाओं के सामने उन पर, और अन्यजातियों पर गवाह होने के लिये पेश किए जाओगे।
Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
19 १९ जब वे तुम्हें पकड़वाएँगे तो यह चिन्ता न करना, कि तुम कैसे बोलोगे और क्या कहोगे; क्योंकि जो कुछ तुम को कहना होगा, वह उसी समय तुम्हें बता दिया जाएगा।
But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
For it is not you who speak, but haRuach [the Spirit, Breath] of 'Avikah ·your Father· who speaks in you.
21 २१ “भाई अपने भाई को और पिता अपने पुत्र को, मरने के लिये सौंपेंगे, और बच्चे माता-पिता के विरोध में उठकर उन्हें मरवा डालेंगे।
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
23 २३ जब वे तुम्हें एक नगर में सताएँ, तो दूसरे को भाग जाना। मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ, तुम मनुष्य के पुत्र के आने से पहले इस्राएल के सब नगरों में से गए भी न होंगे।
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel [God prevails], until the Son of Man has come.
“A disciple is not above his Rabbi ·Teacher·, nor a servant above his lord.
25 २५ चेले का गुरु के, और दास का स्वामी के बराबर होना ही बहुत है; जब उन्होंने घर के स्वामी कोशैतानकहा तो उसके घरवालों को क्यों न कहेंगे?
It is enough for the disciple that he be like his Rabbi ·Teacher·, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Ba'al-Zibbul [Lord of Flies], how much more those of his household!
26 २६ “इसलिए उनसे मत डरना, क्योंकि कुछ ढँका नहीं, जो खोला न जाएगा; और न कुछ छिपा है, जो जाना न जाएगा।
Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known.
27 २७ जो मैं तुम से अंधियारे में कहता हूँ, उसे उजियाले में कहो; और जो कानों कान सुनते हो, उसे छतों पर से प्रचार करो।
What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 २८ जो शरीर को मार सकते हैं, पर आत्मा को मार नहीं सकते, उनसे मत डरना; पर उसी से डरो, जो आत्मा और शरीर दोनों को नरक में नाश कर सकता है। (Geenna g1067)
Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead). (Geenna g1067)
29 २९ क्या एक पैसे में दो गौरैये नहीं बिकती? फिर भी तुम्हारे पिता की इच्छा के बिना उनमें से एक भी भूमि पर नहीं गिर सकती।
“Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion coin (a trivial cost)? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from 'Avikah ·your Father·’s will,
but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
33 ३३ पर जो कोई मनुष्यों के सामने मेरा इन्कार करेगा उसे मैं भी अपने स्वर्गीय पिता के सामने इन्कार करूँगा।
But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
34 ३४ “यह न समझो, कि मैं पृथ्वी पर मिलाप कराने को आया हूँ; मैं मिलाप कराने को नहीं, पर तलवार चलवाने आया हूँ।
“Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a machaira ·machete, small sword knife·.
35 ३५ मैं तो आया हूँ, कि मनुष्य को उसके पिता से, और बेटी को उसकी माँ से, और बहू को उसकी सास से अलग कर दूँ।
For I came to set a son at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
A man’s foes will be those of his own household.
37 ३७ “जो माता या पिता को मुझसे अधिक प्रिय जानता है, वह मेरे योग्य नहीं और जो बेटा या बेटी को मुझसे अधिक प्रिय जानता है, वह मेरे योग्य नहीं।
He who phileo ·affectionately loves, has high regard, approval of· father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who phileo ·affectionately loves, has high regard, approval of· son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
He who does not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 ४० “जो तुम्हें ग्रहण करता है, वह मुझे ग्रहण करता है; और जो मुझे ग्रहण करता है, वह मेरे भेजनेवाले को ग्रहण करता है।
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
41 ४१ जो भविष्यद्वक्ता को भविष्यद्वक्ता जानकर ग्रहण करे, वह भविष्यद्वक्ता का बदला पाएगा; और जो धर्मी जानकर धर्मी को ग्रहण करे, वह धर्मी का बदला पाएगा।
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a upright man in the name of a upright man will receive a upright man’s reward.
42 ४२ जो कोई इन छोटों में से एक को चेला जानकर केवल एक कटोरा ठंडा पानी पिलाए, मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ, वह अपना पुरस्कार कभी नहीं खोएगा।”
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward.”
