अय्यूब 40

1 १ फिर यहोवा ने अय्यूब से यह भी कहा:

And the Lord addide, and spak to Joob,

2 २ “क्या जो बकवास करता है वह सर्वशक्तिमान से झगड़ा करे? जो परमेश्वर से विवाद करता है वह इसका उत्तर दे।”

Whether he, that stryueth with God, schal haue rest so liytli? Sotheli he, that repreueth God, owith for to answere to hym.

3 ३ तब अय्यूब ने यहोवा को उत्तर दिया:

Forsothe Joob answeride to the Lord,

4 ४ “देख, मैं तो तुच्छ हूँ, मैं तुझे क्या उत्तर दूँ? मैं अपनी उँगली दाँत तले दबाता हूँ।

and seide, What may Y answere, which haue spoke liytli? Y schal putte myn hond on my mouth.

5 ५ एक बार तो मैं कह चुका, परन्तु और कुछ न कहूँगा: हाँ दो बार भी मैं कह चुका, परन्तु अब कुछ और आगे न बढ़ूँगा।”

Y spak o thing, which thing Y wold, that Y hadde not seid; and Y spak anothir thing, to which Y schal no more adde.

6 ६ तब यहोवा ने अय्यूब को आँधी में से यह उत्तर दिया:

Forsothe the Lord answeride to Joob fro the whirlewynd,

7 ७ “पुरुष के समान अपनी कमर बाँध ले, मैं तुझ से प्रश्न करता हूँ, और तू मुझे बता।

and seide, Girde thou as a man thi leendis, and Y schal axe thee, and schewe thou to me.

8 ८ क्या तू मेरा न्याय भी व्यर्थ ठहराएगा? क्या तू आप निर्दोष ठहरने की मनसा से मुझ को दोषी ठहराएगा?

Whether thou schalt make voide my doom, and schalt condempne me, that thou be maad iust?

9 ९ क्या तेरा बाहुबल परमेश्वर के तुल्य है? क्या तू उसके समान शब्द से गरज सकता है?

And if thou hast an arm, as God hath, and if thou thundrist with lijk vois, `take thou fairnesse aboute thee,

10 १० “अब अपने को महिमा और प्रताप से संवार और ऐश्वर्य और तेज के वस्त्र पहन ले।

and be thou reisid an hiy, and be thou gloriouse, and be thou clothid `in faire clothis.

11 ११ अपने अति क्रोध की बाढ़ को बहा दे, और एक-एक घमण्डी को देखते ही उसे नीचा कर।

Distrie thou proude men in thi woodnesse, and biholde thou, and make lowe ech bostere.

12 १२ हर एक घमण्डी को देखकर झुका दे, और दुष्ट लोगों को जहाँ खड़े हों वहाँ से गिरा दे।

Biholde thou alle proude men, and schende thou hem; and al to-breke thou wickid men in her place.

13 १३ उनको एक संग मिट्टी में मिला दे, और उस गुप्त स्थान में उनके मुँह बाँध दे।

Hide thou hem in dust togidere, and drenche doun her faces in to a diche.

14 १४ तब मैं भी तेरे विषय में मान लूँगा, कि तेरा ही दाहिना हाथ तेरा उद्धार कर सकता है।

And Y schal knowleche, that thi riyt hond may saue thee.

15 १५ “उस जलगज को देख, जिसको मैंने तेरे साथ बनाया है, वह बैल के समान घास खाता है।

Lo! behemot, whom Y made with thee, schal as an oxe ete hey.

16 १६ देख उसकी कमर में बल है, और उसके पेट के पट्ठों में उसकी सामर्थ्य रहती है।

His strengthe is in hise leendis, and his vertu is in the nawle of his wombe.

17 १७ वह अपनी पूँछ को देवदार के समान हिलाता है; उसकी जाँघों की नसें एक दूसरे से मिली हुई हैं।

He streyneth his tail as a cedre; the senewis of his `stones of gendrure ben foldid togidere.

18 १८ उसकी हड्डियाँ मानो पीतल की नलियाँ हैं, उसकी पसलियाँ मानो लोहे के बेंड़े हैं।

Hise boonys ben as the pipis of bras; the gristil of hym is as platis of yrun.

19 १९ “वह परमेश्वर का मुख्य कार्य है; जो उसका सृजनहार हो उसके निकट तलवार लेकर आए!

He is the bigynnyng of the weies of God; he, that made hym, schal sette his swerd to hym.

20 २० निश्चय पहाड़ों पर उसका चारा मिलता है, जहाँ और सब वन पशु कलोल करते हैं।

Hillis beren eerbis to this behemot; alle the beestis of the feeld pleien there.

21 २१ वह कमल के पौधों के नीचे रहता नरकटों की आड़ में और कीच पर लेटा करता है

He slepith vndur schadewe, in the pryuete of rehed, in moiste places.

22 २२ कमल के पौधे उस पर छाया करते हैं, वह नाले के बेंत के वृक्षों से घिरा रहता है।

Schadewis hilen his schadewe; the salewis of the ryuer cumpassen hym.

23 २३ चाहे नदी की बाढ़ भी हो तो भी वह न घबराएगा, चाहे यरदन भी बढ़कर उसके मुँह तक आए परन्तु वह निर्भय रहेगा।

He schal soupe vp the flood, and he schal not wondre; he hath trist, that Jordan schal flowe in to his mouth.

24 २४ जब वह चौकस हो तब क्या कोई उसको पकड़ सकेगा, या उसके नाथ में फंदा लगा सकेगा?

He schal take hem bi `the iyen of hym, as bi an hook; and bi scharpe schaftis he schal perse hise nosethirlis.
