अय्यूब 3

1 १ इसके बाद अय्यूब मुँह खोलकर अपने जन्मदिन को धिक्कारने

after so to open Job [obj] lip his and to lighten [obj] day his

2 २ और कहने लगा,

and to answer Job and to say

3 ३ “वह दिन नाश हो जाए जिसमें मैं उत्पन्न हुआ, और वह रात भी जिसमें कहा गया, ‘बेटे का गर्भ रहा।’

to perish day to beget in/on/with him and [the] night to say to conceive great man

4 ४ वह दिन अंधियारा हो जाए! ऊपर से परमेश्वर उसकी सुधि न ले, और न उसमें प्रकाश होए।

[the] day [the] he/she/it to be darkness not to seek him god from above and not to shine upon him light

5 ५ अंधियारा और मृत्यु की छाया उस पर रहे। बादल उस पर छाए रहें; और दिन को अंधेरा कर देनेवाली चीजें उसे डराएँ।

to redeem: redeem him darkness and shadow to dwell upon him cloud to terrify him darkness day

6 ६ घोर अंधकार उस रात को पकड़े; वर्षा के दिनों के बीच वह आनन्द न करने पाए, और न महीनों में उसकी गिनती की जाए।

7 ७ सुनो, वह रात बाँझ हो जाए; उसमें गाने का शब्द न सुन पड़े

behold [the] night [the] he/she/it to be solitary not to come (in): come triumphing in/on/with him

8 ८ जो लोग किसी दिन को धिक्कारते हैं, और लिव्यातान को छेड़ने में निपुण हैं, उसे धिक्कारें।

to curse him to curse day [the] ready to rouse Leviathan

9 ९ उसकी संध्या के तारे प्रकाश न दें; वह उजियाले की बाट जोहे पर वह उसे न मिले, वह भोर की पलकों को भी देखने न पाए;

to darken star twilight his to await to/for light and nothing and not to see: see in/on/with eyelid dawn

10 १० क्योंकि उसने मेरी माता की कोख को बन्द न किया और कष्ट को मेरी दृष्टि से न छिपाया।

for not to shut door belly: womb my and to hide trouble from eye my

11 ११ “मैं गर्भ ही में क्यों न मर गया? पेट से निकलते ही मेरा प्राण क्यों न छूटा?

to/for what? not from womb to die from belly: womb to come out: produce and to die

12 १२ मैं घुटनों पर क्यों लिया गया? मैं छातियों को क्यों पीने पाया?

why? to meet me knee and what? breast for to suckle

13 १३ ऐसा न होता तो मैं चुपचाप पड़ा रहता, मैं सोता रहता और विश्राम करता,

for now to lie down: lay down and to quiet to sleep then to rest to/for me

14 १४ और मैं पृथ्वी के उन राजाओं और मंत्रियों के साथ होता जिन्होंने अपने लिये सुनसान स्थान बनवा लिए,

with king and to advise land: country/planet [the] to build desolation to/for them

15 १५ या मैं उन राजकुमारों के साथ होता जिनके पास सोना था जिन्होंने अपने घरों को चाँदी से भर लिया था;

or with ruler gold to/for them [the] to fill house: home their silver: money

16 १६ या मैं असमय गिरे हुए गर्भ के समान हुआ होता, या ऐसे बच्चों के समान होता जिन्होंने उजियाले को कभी देखा ही न हो।

or like/as miscarriage to hide not to be like/as infant not to see: see light

17 १७ उस दशा में दुष्ट लोग फिर दुःख नहीं देते, और थके-माँदे विश्राम पाते हैं।

there wicked to cease turmoil and there to rest weary strength

18 १८ उसमें बन्धुए एक संग सुख से रहते हैं; और परिश्रम करानेवाले का शब्द नहीं सुनते।

unitedness prisoner to rest not to hear: hear voice to oppress

19 १९ उसमें छोटे बड़े सब रहते हैं, और दास अपने स्वामी से स्वतंत्र रहता है।

small and great: large there he/she/it and servant/slave free from lord his

20 २० “दुःखियों को उजियाला, और उदास मनवालों को जीवन क्यों दिया जाता है?

to/for what? to give: give to/for labour(er) light and life to/for bitter soul

21 २१ वे मृत्यु की बाट जोहते हैं पर वह आती नहीं; और गड़े हुए धन से अधिक उसकी खोज करते हैं;

[the] to wait to/for death and nothing he and to search him from treasure

22 २२ वे कब्र को पहुँचकर आनन्दित और अत्यन्त मगन होते हैं।

[the] glad to(wards) rejoicing to rejoice for to find grave

23 २३ उजियाला उस पुरुष को क्यों मिलता है जिसका मार्ग छिपा है, जिसके चारों ओर परमेश्वर ने घेरा बाँध दिया है?

to/for great man which way: journey his to hide and to fence god about/through/for him

24 २४ मुझे तो रोटी खाने के बदले लम्बी-लम्बी साँसें आती हैं, और मेरा विलाप धारा के समान बहता रहता है।

for to/for face: before food: bread my sighing my to come (in): come and to pour like/as water roaring my

25 २५ क्योंकि जिस डरावनी बात से मैं डरता हूँ, वही मुझ पर आ पड़ती है, और जिस बात से मैं भय खाता हूँ वही मुझ पर आ जाती है।

for dread to dread and to come me and which to fear to come (in): come to/for me

26 २६ मुझे न तो चैन, न शान्ति, न विश्राम मिलता है; परन्तु दुःख ही दुःख आता है।”

not to prosper and not to quiet and not to rest and to come (in): come turmoil
