अय्यूब 29

1 १ अय्यूब ने और भी अपनी गूढ़ बात उठाई और कहा,

And he repeated Job to take up discourse his and he said.

2 २ “भला होता, कि मेरी दशा बीते हुए महीनों की सी होती, जिन दिनों में परमेश्वर मेरी रक्षा करता था,

Who? will he give me like months of long ago like [the] days [when] God he watched over me.

3 ३ जब उसके दीपक का प्रकाश मेरे सिर पर रहता था, और उससे उजियाला पाकर मैं अंधेरे से होकर चलता था।

When made shine he lamp his over head my to light his I walked darkness.

4 ४ वे तो मेरी जवानी के दिन थे, जब परमेश्वर की मित्रता मेरे डेरे पर प्रगट होती थी।

Just as I was in [the] days of prime my in [the] intimacy of God on tent my.

5 ५ उस समय तक तो सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर मेरे संग रहता था, और मेरे बच्चे मेरे चारों ओर रहते थे।

While still [the] Almighty [was] with me [were] around me lads my.

6 ६ तब मैं अपने पैरों को मलाई से धोता था और मेरे पास की चट्टानों से तेल की धाराएँ बहा करती थीं।

When bathed steps my in curd and a rock it poured out beside me streams of oil.

7 ७ जब-जब मैं नगर के फाटक की ओर चलकर खुले स्थान में अपने बैठने का स्थान तैयार करता था,

When went out I [the] gate on [the] town in the public square I prepared seat my.

8 ८ तब-तब जवान मुझे देखकर छिप जाते, और पुरनिये उठकर खड़े हो जाते थे।

They saw me young men and they hid themselves and old [men] they rose they stood.

9 ९ हाकिम लोग भी बोलने से रुक जाते, और हाथ से मुँह मूँदे रहते थे।

Chiefs they restrained words and a hand they put to mouth their.

10 १० प्रधान लोग चुप रहते थे और उनकी जीभ तालू से सट जाती थी।

[the] voice of Nobles they were hidden and tongue their to palate their it stuck.

11 ११ क्योंकि जब कोई मेरा समाचार सुनता, तब वह मुझे धन्य कहता था, और जब कोई मुझे देखता, तब मेरे विषय साक्षी देता था;

For an ear it heard and it called blessed me and an eye it saw and it bore witness to me.

12 १२ क्योंकि मैं दुहाई देनेवाले दीन जन को, और असहाय अनाथ को भी छुड़ाता था।

That I rescued [the] afflicted [who] cried for help and [the] fatherless and [the one whom] not a helper [belonged] to him.

13 १३ जो नाश होने पर था मुझे आशीर्वाद देता था, और मेरे कारण विधवा आनन्द के मारे गाती थी।

[the] blessing of [one] about to perish On me it came and [the] heart of a widow I made sing for joy.

14 १४ मैं धार्मिकता को पहने रहा, और वह मुझे ढांके रहा; मेरा न्याय का काम मेरे लिये बागे और सुन्दर पगड़ी का काम देता था।

Righteousness I put on and it clothed me [was] like a robe and a turban justice my.

15 १५ मैं अंधों के लिये आँखें, और लँगड़ों के लिये पाँव ठहरता था।

Eyes I was to the blind and [was] feet to the lame I.

16 १६ दरिद्र लोगों का मैं पिता ठहरता था, और जो मेरी पहचान का न था उसके मुकद्दमे का हाल मैं पूछताछ करके जान लेता था।

[was] a father I to the needy [people] and a case at law of [the one whom] not I knew I investigated it.

17 १७ मैं कुटिल मनुष्यों की डाढ़ें तोड़ डालता, और उनका शिकार उनके मुँह से छीनकर बचा लेता था।

And I broke! [the] jaws of [the] unrighteous and from teeth his I threw [the] prey.

18 १८ तब मैं सोचता था, ‘मेरे दिन रेतकणों के समान अनगिनत होंगे, और अपने ही बसेरे में मेरा प्राण छूटेगा।

And I said with nest my I will expire and like sand I will increase days.

19 १९ मेरी जड़ जल की ओर फैली, और मेरी डाली पर ओस रात भर पड़ी रहेगी,

Root my [is] opened to water and dew it will remain overnight on branch[es] my.

20 २० मेरी महिमा ज्यों की त्यों बनी रहेगी, और मेरा धनुष मेरे हाथ में सदा नया होता जाएगा।

Honor my [is] new with me and bow my in hand my it will show newness.

21 २१ “लोग मेरी ही ओर कान लगाकर ठहरे रहते थे और मेरी सम्मति सुनकर चुप रहते थे।

To me people listened and they waited and they may be silent for counsel my.

22 २२ जब मैं बोल चुकता था, तब वे और कुछ न बोलते थे, मेरी बातें उन पर मेंह के सामान बरसा करती थीं।

After word my not they repeated and on them it dropped speech my.

23 २३ जैसे लोग बरसात की, वैसे ही मेरी भी बाट देखते थे; और जैसे बरसात के अन्त की वर्षा के लिये वैसे ही वे मुँह पसारे रहते थे।

And they waited like the rain for me and mouth their they opened wide for spring rain.

24 २४ जब उनको कुछ आशा न रहती थी तब मैं हँसकर उनको प्रसन्न करता था; और कोई मेरे मुँह को बिगाड़ न सकता था।

I laughed to them not they believed and [the] light of face my not they made fall!

25 २५ मैं उनका मार्ग चुन लेता, और उनमें मुख्य ठहरकर बैठा करता था, और जैसा सेना में राजा या विलाप करनेवालों के बीच शान्तिदाता, वैसा ही मैं रहता था।

I chose way their so I may sit [as] chief so I may dwell like a king among the troop[s] just as mourners someone comforts.
