अय्यूब 17

1 १ “मेरा प्राण निकलने पर है, मेरे दिन पूरे हो चुके हैं; मेरे लिये कब्र तैयार है।

Mi spirit schal be maad feble; my daies schulen be maad schort, and oneli the sepulcre is left to me.

2 २ निश्चय जो मेरे संग हैं वह ठट्ठा करनेवाले हैं, और उनका झगड़ा-रगड़ा मुझे लगातार दिखाई देता है।

Y have not synned, and myn iye dwellith in bittirnessis.

3 ३ “जमानत दे, अपने और मेरे बीच में तू ही जामिन हो; कौन है जो मेरे हाथ पर हाथ मारे?

Lord, delyuere thou me, and sette thou me bisidis thee; and the hond of ech fiyte ayens me.

4 ४ तूने उनका मन समझने से रोका है, इस कारण तू उनको प्रबल न करेगा।

Thou hast maad the herte of hem fer fro doctryn, `ethir knowyng of treuthe; therfor thei schulen not be enhaunsid.

5 ५ जो अपने मित्रों को चुगली खाकर लूटा देता, उसके बच्चों की आँखें अंधी हो जाएँगी।

He bihetith prey to felowis, and the iyen of hise sones schulen faile.

6 ६ “उसने ऐसा किया कि सब लोग मेरी उपमा देते हैं; और लोग मेरे मुँह पर थूकते हैं।

He hath set as in to a prouerbe of the comyn puple, and his saumple bifor hem.

7 ७ खेद के मारे मेरी आँखों में धुंधलापन छा गया है, और मेरे सब अंग छाया के समान हो गए हैं।

Myn `iye dasewide at indignacioun; and my membris ben dryuun as in to nouyt.

8 ८ इसे देखकर सीधे लोग चकित होते हैं, और जो निर्दोष हैं, वह भक्तिहीन के विरुद्ध भड़क उठते हैं।

Iust men schulen wondre on this thing; and an innocent schal be reisid ayens an ypocrite.

9 ९ तो भी धर्मी लोग अपना मार्ग पकड़े रहेंगे, और शुद्ध काम करनेवाले सामर्थ्य पर सामर्थ्य पाते जाएँगे।

And a iust man schal holde his weie, and he schal adde strengthe to clene hondis.

10 १० तुम सब के सब मेरे पास आओ तो आओ, परन्तु मुझे तुम लोगों में एक भी बुद्धिमान न मिलेगा।

Therfor alle `ye be conuertid, and come ye; and Y schal not fynde in you ony wiys man.

11 ११ मेरे दिन तो बीत चुके, और मेरी मनसाएँ मिट गई, और जो मेरे मन में था, वह नाश हुआ है।

My daies ben passid; my thouytis ben scaterid, turmentynge myn herte.

12 १२ वे रात को दिन ठहराते; वे कहते हैं, अंधियारे के निकट उजियाला है।

Tho han turned the nyyt `in to day; and eft aftir derknessis hope liyt.

13 १३ यदि मेरी आशा यह हो कि अधोलोक मेरा धाम होगा, यदि मैंने अंधियारे में अपना बिछौना बिछा लिया है, (Sheol h7585)

If Y `susteyne, ether suffre pacientli, helle is myn hous; and Y haue arayede my bed in derknessis. (Sheol h7585)

14 १४ यदि मैंने सड़ाहट से कहा, ‘तू मेरा पिता है,’ और कीड़े से, ‘तू मेरी माँ,’ और ‘मेरी बहन है,’

Y seide to rot, Thou art my fadur; and to wormes, Ye ben my modir and my sister.

15 १५ तो मेरी आशा कहाँ रही? और मेरी आशा किसके देखने में आएगी?

Therfor where is now myn abidyng? and who biholdith my pacience?

16 १६ वह तो अधोलोक में उतर जाएगी, और उस समेत मुझे भी मिट्टी में विश्राम मिलेगा।” (Sheol h7585)

Alle my thingis schulen go doun in to deppeste helle; gessist thou, whether reste schal be to me, nameli there. (Sheol h7585)
