यशायाह 60
Be enlightened, be enlightened, O Jerusalem, for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 २ देख, पृथ्वी पर तो अंधियारा और राज्य-राज्य के लोगों पर घोर अंधकार छाया हुआ है; परन्तु तेरे ऊपर यहोवा उदय होगा, और उसका तेज तुझ पर प्रगट होगा।
Behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and [there shall be] gross darkness on the nations: but the Lord shall appear upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
And kings shall walk in thy light, and nations in thy brightness.
4 ४ अपनी आँखें चारों ओर उठाकर देख; वे सब के सब इकट्ठे होकर तेरे पास आ रहे हैं; तेरे पुत्र दूर से आ रहे हैं, और तेरी पुत्रियाँ हाथों-हाथ पहुँचाई जा रही हैं।
Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold thy children gathered: all thy sons have come from far, and thy daughters shall be borne on [men's] shoulders.
5 ५ तब तू इसे देखेगी और तेरा मुख चमकेगा, तेरा हृदय थरथराएगा और आनन्द से भर जाएगा; क्योंकि समुद्र का सारा धन और जाति-जाति की धन-सम्पत्ति तुझको मिलेगी।
Then shalt thou see, and fear, and be amazed in thine heart; for the wealth of the sea shall come round to thee, and of nations and peoples; and herds of camels shall come to thee,
6 ६ तेरे देश में ऊँटों के झुण्ड और मिद्यान और एपा देशों की साँड़नियाँ इकट्ठी होंगी; शेबा के सब लोग आकर सोना और लोबान भेंट लाएँगे और यहोवा का गुणानुवाद आनन्द से सुनाएँगे।
and the camels of Madiam and Gaepha shall cover thee: all from Saba shall come bearing gold, and shall bring frankincense, and they shall publish the salvation of the Lord.
7 ७ केदार की सब भेड़-बकरियाँ इकट्ठी होकर तेरी हो जाएँगी, नबायोत के मेढ़े तेरी सेवा टहल के काम में आएँगे; मेरी वेदी पर वे ग्रहण किए जाएँगे और मैं अपने शोभायमान भवन को और भी प्रतापी कर दूँगा।
And all the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered, and the rams of Nabaeoth shall come; and acceptable sacrifices shall be offered on my altar, and my house of prayer shall be glorified.
Who are these [that] fly as clouds, and as doves with young ones to me?
9 ९ निश्चय द्वीप मेरी ही बाट देखेंगे, पहले तो तर्शीश के जहाज आएँगे, कि तेरे पुत्रों को सोने- चाँदी समेत तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा अर्थात् इस्राएल के पवित्र के नाम के निमित्त दूर से पहुँचाए, क्योंकि उसने तुझे शोभायमान किया है।
The isles have waited for me, and the ships of Tharsis among the first, to bring thy children from afar, and their silver and their gold with them, and [that] for the sake of the holy name of the Lord, and because the Holy One of Israel is glorified.
10 १० परदेशी लोग तेरी शहरपनाह को उठाएँगे, और उनके राजा तेरी सेवा टहल करेंगे; क्योंकि मैंने क्रोध में आकर तुझे दुःख दिया था, परन्तु अब तुझ से प्रसन्न होकर तुझ पर दया की है।
And strangers shall build thy walls, and their kings shall wait upon thee: for by reason of my wrath I smote thee, and by reason of mercy I loved thee.
11 ११ तेरे फाटक सदैव खुले रहेंगे; दिन और रात वे बन्द न किए जाएँगे जिससे जाति-जाति की धन-सम्पत्ति और उनके राजा बन्दी होकर तेरे पास पहुँचाए जाएँ।
And thy gates shall be opened continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; to bring in to thee the power of the Gentiles, and their kings as captives.
12 १२ क्योंकि जो जाति और राज्य के लोग तेरी सेवा न करें वे नष्ट हो जाएँगे; हाँ ऐसी जातियाँ पूरी रीति से सत्यानाश हो जाएँगी।
For the nations and the kings which will not serve thee shall perish; and those nations shall be made utterly desolate.
13 १३ लबानोन का वैभव अर्थात् सनोवर और देवदार और चीड़ के पेड़ एक साथ तेरे पास आएँगे कि मेरे पवित्रस्थान को सुशोभित करें; और मैं अपने चरणों के स्थान को महिमा दूँगा।
And the glory of Libanus shall come to thee, with the cypress, and pine, and cedar together, to glorify my holy place.
14 १४ तेरे दुःख देनेवालों की सन्तान तेरे पास सिर झुकाए हुए आएँगी; और जिन्होंने तेरा तिरस्कार किया सब तेरे पाँवों पर गिरकर दण्डवत् करेंगे; वे तेरा नाम यहोवा का नगर, इस्राएल के पवित्र का सिय्योन रखेंगे।
And the sons of them that afflicted thee, and of them that provoked thee, shall come to thee in fear; and thou shalt be called Sion, the city of the Holy One of Israel.
15 १५ तू जो त्यागी गई और घृणित ठहरी, यहाँ तक कि कोई तुझ में से होकर नहीं जाता था, इसके बदले मैं तुझे सदा के घमण्ड का और पीढ़ी-पीढ़ी के हर्ष का कारण ठहराऊँगा।
Because thou has become desolate and hated, and there was no helper, therefore I will make thee a perpetual gladness, a joy of many generations.
16 १६ तू जाति-जाति का दूध पी लेगी, तू राजाओं की छातियाँ चूसेगी; और तू जान लेगी कि मैं यहोवा तेरा उद्धारकर्ता और तेरा छुड़ानेवाला, याकूब का सर्वशक्तिमान हूँ।
And thou shalt suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt eat the wealth of kings: and shalt know that I am the Lord that saves thee and delivers thee, the Holy One of Israel.
17 १७ मैं पीतल के बदले सोना, लोहे के बदले चाँदी, लकड़ी के बदले पीतल और पत्थर के बदले लोहा लाऊँगा। मैं तेरे हाकिमों को मेल-मिलाप और तेरे चौधरियों को धार्मिकता ठहराऊँगा।
And for brass I will bring thee gold, and for iron I will bring thee silver, and instead of wood I will bring thee brass, and instead of stones, iron; and I will make thy princes peaceable, and thine overseers righteous.
18 १८ तेरे देश में फिर कभी उपद्रव और तेरी सीमाओं के भीतर उत्पात या अंधेर की चर्चा न सुनाई पड़ेगी; परन्तु तू अपनी शहरपनाह का नाम उद्धार और अपने फाटकों का नाम यश रखेगी।
And injustice shall no more be heard in thy land, nor destruction nor misery in thy coasts; but thy walls shall be called Salvation, and thy gates Sculptured Work.
19 १९ फिर दिन को सूर्य तेरा उजियाला न होगा, न चाँदनी के लिये चन्द्रमा परन्तु यहोवा तेरे लिये सदा का उजियाला और तेरा परमेश्वर तेरी शोभा ठहरेगा।
And thou shalt no more have the sun for a light by day, nor shall the rising of the moon lighten thy night; but the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and God thy glory.
20 २० तेरा सूर्य फिर कभी अस्त न होगा और न तेरे चन्द्रमा की ज्योति मलिन होगी; क्योंकि यहोवा तेरी सदैव की ज्योति होगा और तेरे विलाप के दिन समाप्त हो जाएँगे।
For the sun shall no more set, nor shall the moon be eclipsed; for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be completed.
21 २१ तेरे लोग सब के सब धर्मी होंगे; वे सर्वदा देश के अधिकारी रहेंगे, वे मेरे लगाए हुए पौधे और मेरे हाथों का काम ठहरेंगे, जिससे मेरी महिमा प्रगट हो।
Thy people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land for ever, preserving that which they have planted, [even] the works of their hands, for glory.
22 २२ छोटे से छोटा एक हजार हो जाएगा और सबसे दुर्बल एक सामर्थी जाति बन जाएगा। मैं यहोवा हूँ; ठीक समय पर यह सब कुछ शीघ्रता से पूरा करूँगा।
The little one shall become thousands, and the least a great nation; I the Lord will gather them in [due] time.
