यशायाह 5
1 १ अब मैं अपने प्रिय के लिये और उसकी दाख की बारी के विषय में गीत गाऊँगा: एक अति उपजाऊ टीले पर मेरे प्रिय की एक दाख की बारी थी।
Let me sing a song for my love, about his vineyard. My love owned a vineyard on a productive hill.
2 २ उसने उसकी मिट्टी खोदी और उसके पत्थर बीनकर उसमें उत्तम जाति की एक दाखलता लगाई; उसके बीच में उसने एक गुम्मट बनाया, और दाखरस के लिये एक कुण्ड भी खोदा; तब उसने दाख की आशा की, परन्तु उसमें निकम्मी दाखें ही लगीं।
He dug it over, cleared the ground of stones, and planted it with the very best vines. In the middle of it he built a watchtower, and he also cut out a winepress from the rock. Then he waited for a good harvest of grapes, but it only produced wild, sour grapes.
“Now, you people who live in Jerusalem and Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.
4 ४ मेरी दाख की बारी के लिये और क्या करना रह गया जो मैंने उसके लिये न किया हो? फिर क्या कारण है कि जब मैंने दाख की आशा की तब उसमें निकम्मी दाखें लगीं?
What more could I have done for my vineyard than I've already done? When I looked for sweet grapes, why did it only produce sour ones?
5 ५ अब मैं तुम को बताता हूँ कि अपनी दाख की बारी से क्या करूँगा। मैं उसके काँटेवाले बाड़े को उखाड़ दूँगा कि वह चट की जाए, और उसकी दीवार को ढा दूँगा कि वह रौंदी जाए।
So let me tell you what I'm going to do to my vineyard. I'll remove its hedge, and it will be destroyed. I'll tear down its wall, and it will be trampled underfoot.
6 ६ मैं उसे उजाड़ दूँगा; वह न तो फिर छाँटी और न खोदी जाएगी और उसमें भाँति-भाँति के कटीले पेड़ उगेंगे; मैं मेघों को भी आज्ञा दूँगा कि उस पर जल न बरसाएँ।
I'll turn it into a wasteland. It won't be pruned or weeded—it will be overgrown with brambles and thorns. I'll order the clouds not to rain on it.”
7 ७ क्योंकि सेनाओं के यहोवा की दाख की बारी इस्राएल का घराना, और उसका प्रिय पौधा यहूदा के लोग है; और उसने उनमें न्याय की आशा की परन्तु अन्याय देख पड़ा; उसने धार्मिकता की आशा की, परन्तु उसे चिल्लाहट ही सुन पड़ी!
Israel is the vineyard of the Lord Almighty, and the people of Judah are the plants in his garden that made him happy. Yet while he hoped for justice, he only saw injustice; he hoped people would live right, but he only heard the cries of those who were suffering.
8 ८ हाय उन पर जो घर से घर, और खेत से खेत यहाँ तक मिलाते जाते हैं कि कुछ स्थान नहीं बचता, कि तुम देश के बीच अकेले रह जाओ।
Tragedy is coming to you who buy house upon house and field upon field, joining them all together until no one else has anywhere to live and you live alone in the land.
9 ९ सेनाओं के यहोवा ने मेरे सुनते कहा है: “निश्चय बहुत से घर सुनसान हो जाएँगे, और बड़े-बड़े और सुन्दर घर निर्जन हो जाएँगे।
I heard the Lord Almighty declare: You can be sure that many houses are destined to become ruins, and beautiful mansions destined to become uninhabited.
10 १० क्योंकि दस बीघे की दाख की बारी से एक ही बत दाखमधु मिलेगा, और होमेर भर के बीच से एक ही एपा अन्न उत्पन्न होगा।”
Ten acres of vineyard will only produce a six gallons of wine, and a measure of seed only a tenth of that in grain.
11 ११ हाय उन पर जो बड़े तड़के उठकर मदिरा पीने लगते हैं और बड़ी रात तक दाखमधु पीते रहते हैं जब तक उनको गर्मी न चढ़ जाए!
Tragedy is coming to you who get up early in the morning wanting a drink, and who stay up late drinking wine until you're drunk.
12 १२ उनके भोजों में वीणा, सारंगी, डफ, बाँसुरी और दाखमधु, ये सब पाये जाते हैं; परन्तु वे यहोवा के कार्य की ओर दृष्टि नहीं करते, और उसके हाथों के काम को नहीं देखते।
At their feasts you have lyres and harps, tambourines and flutes, and wine, but you don't ever consider what the Lord is doing, and you don't recognize his help.
13 १३ इसलिए अज्ञानता के कारण मेरी प्रजा बँधुवाई में जाती है, उसके प्रतिष्ठित पुरुष भूखे मरते और साधारण लोग प्यास से व्याकुल होते हैं।
As a result my people will be exiled for their lack of understanding. Their honored leaders will starve, and the crowds will be dying of thirst.
14 १४ इसलिए अधोलोक ने अत्यन्त लालसा करके अपना मुँह हद से ज्यादा पसारा है, और उनका वैभव और भीड़-भाड़ और आनन्द करनेवाले सब के सब उसके मुँह में जा पड़ते हैं। (Sheol h7585)
The grave's appetite increases, its mouth opens wide, and Jerusalem's nobility and the masses will go down into it, along with the rowdy, drunken mobs. (Sheol h7585)
15 १५ साधारण मनुष्य दबाए जाते और बड़े मनुष्य नीचे किए जाते हैं, और अभिमानियों की आँखें नीची की जाती हैं।
Everyone will be brought down, everyone will be humbled; the proud will lower their eyes in humiliation.
16 १६ परन्तु सेनाओं का यहोवा न्याय करने के कारण महान ठहरता, और पवित्र परमेश्वर धर्मी होने के कारण पवित्र ठहरता है!
But the Lord Almighty will be vindicated because he does what is right; the holy God will be shown to be holy because of his goodness.
17 १७ तब भेड़ों के बच्चे मानो अपने खेत में चरेंगे, परन्तु हष्टपुष्टों के उजड़े स्थान परदेशियों को चराई के लिये मिलेंगे।
Lambs will graze as in their own pasture; fattened livestock and goats will feed among the ruins of the rich.
Tragedy is coming to you who pull along your sins behind you with iniquity with cords made of lies, and pulling with ropes a cartful of wickedness.
19 १९ जो कहते हैं, “वह फुर्ती करे और अपने काम को शीघ्र करे कि हम उसको देखें; और इस्राएल के पवित्र की युक्ति प्रगट हो, वह निकट आए कि हम उसको समझें!”
You are among the people who say, “God should hurry up! Why doesn't God get a move on with what he's doing so we can see it? Why doesn't the Holy One of Israel execute his plan? Let's see it happen so we can understand what it is!”
20 २० हाय उन पर जो बुरे को भला और भले को बुरा कहते, जो अंधियारे को उजियाला और उजियाले को अंधियारा ठहराते, और कड़वे को मीठा और मीठे को कड़वा करके मानते हैं!
Tragedy is coming to you who say evil is good, and good is evil; who turn darkness into light and light into darkness; who make bitter sweet, and sweet bitter.
Tragedy is coming to you who are wise in your own eyes and think you're so clever.
Tragedy is coming to you who are wine-drinking champions, and experts at mixing alcoholic drinks;
you who set the guilty free for a bribe, and yet deny justice to the innocent.
24 २४ इस कारण जैसे अग्नि की लौ से खूँटी भस्म होती है और सूखी घास जलकर बैठ जाती है, वैसे ही उनकी जड़ सड़ जाएगी और उनके फूल धूल होकर उड़ जाएँगे; क्योंकि उन्होंने सेनाओं के यहोवा की व्यवस्था को निकम्मी जाना, और इस्राएल के पवित्र के वचन को तुच्छ जाना है।
In the same way fire burns up stubble and dry grass falls down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers disintegrate into dust. For they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty, and have treated with contempt what the Holy One of Israel has said.
25 २५ इस कारण यहोवा का क्रोध अपनी प्रजा पर भड़का है, और उसने उनके विरुद्ध हाथ बढ़ाकर उनको मारा है, और पहाड़ काँप उठे; और लोगों की लोथें सड़कों के बीच कूड़ा सी पड़ी हैं। इतने पर भी उसका क्रोध शान्त नहीं हुआ और उसका हाथ अब तक बढ़ा हुआ है।
That's why the Lord burns with anger against his people. He has lifted up his hand and hit them, shaking the mountains, and leaving their corpses lying like refuse in the streets. Despite all this, his anger is not finished, and his hand is still lifted up.
26 २६ वह दूर-दूर की जातियों के लिये झण्डा खड़ा करेगा, और सीटी बजाकर उनको पृथ्वी की छोर से बुलाएगा; देखो, वे फुर्ती करके वेग से आएँगे!
He will send a signal to the distant nations, and will whistle for those living at the ends of the earth. See how quickly they respond, how speedily they come!
27 २७ उनमें कोई थका नहीं न कोई ठोकर खाता है; कोई उँघने या सोनेवाला नहीं, किसी का फेंटा नहीं खुला, और किसी के जूतों का बन्धन नहीं टूटा;
None of them gets tired or stumbles; none of them rests or sleeps. No belt comes loose, and no sandal strap breaks.
28 २८ उनके तीर शुद्ध और धनुष चढ़ाए हुए हैं, उनके घोड़ों के खुर वज्र के से और रथों के पहिये बवण्डर सरीखे हैं।
Their arrows are already sharpened, and all their bows have been strung. The hooves of their horses are hard as flint; their chariot wheels spin like a whirlwind.
29 २९ वे सिंह या जवान सिंह के समान गरजते हैं; वे गुर्राकर अहेर को पकड़ लेते और उसको ले भागते हैं, और कोई उसे उनसे नहीं छुड़ा सकता।
They roar like lions, like young lions. They growl, and pounce on their prey. They drag it off so it can't be rescued.
30 ३० उस समय वे उन पर समुद्र के गर्जन के समान गरजेंगे और यदि कोई देश की ओर देखे, तो उसे अंधकार और संकट देख पड़ेगा और ज्योति मेघों से छिप जाएगी।
At that time they will roar over their prey like the roaring of the sea. Anyone who looks out over the land will see only darkness and distress—even the sunlight will be darkened by clouds.
