उत्पत्ति 25
And he repeated Abraham and he took a wife and name her [was] Keturah.
And she bore to him Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah.
And Jokshan he fathered Sheba and Dedan and [the] sons of Dedan they were Asshurites and Letushites and Leummites.
And [the] sons of Midian [were] Ephah and Epher and Hanoch and Abida and Eldaah all these [were] [the] sons of Keturah.
And he gave Abraham all that [belonged] to him to Isaac.
6 ६ पर अपनी रखैलियों के पुत्रों को, कुछ कुछ देकर अपने जीते जी अपने पुत्र इसहाक के पास से पूर्व देश में भेज दिया।
And to [the] sons of the concubines who [belonged] to Abraham he gave Abraham gifts and he sent away them from with Isaac son his while still [was] he alive east-ward to [the] land of [the] east.
And these [are] [the] days of [the] years of [the] life of Abraham which he lived one hundred year[s] and seventy year[s] and five years.
8 ८ अब्राहम का दीर्घायु होने के कारण अर्थात् पूरे बुढ़ापे की अवस्था में प्राण छूट गया; और वह अपने लोगों में जा मिला।
And he expired and he died Abraham in old age good old and satisfied and he was gathered to kinspeople his.
9 ९ उसके पुत्र इसहाक और इश्माएल ने, हित्ती सोहर के पुत्र एप्रोन की मम्रे के सम्मुखवाली भूमि में, जो मकपेला की गुफा थी, उसमें उसको मिट्टी दी;
And they buried him Isaac and Ishmael sons his into [the] cave of Machpelah to [the] field of Ephron [the] son of Zohar the Hittite which [is] on [the] face of Mamre.
10 १० अर्थात् जो भूमि अब्राहम ने हित्तियों से मोल ली थी; उसी में अब्राहम, और उसकी पत्नी सारा, दोनों को मिट्टी दी गई।
The field which he had acquired Abraham from with [the] sons of Heth there he was buried Abraham and Sarah wife his.
11 ११ अब्राहम के मरने के पश्चात् परमेश्वर ने उसके पुत्र इसहाक को जो लहैरोई नामक कुएँ के पास रहता था, आशीष दी।
And it was after [the] death of Abraham and he blessed God Isaac son his and he dwelt Isaac near Beer Lahai Roi.
And these [are] [the] accounts of Ishmael [the] son of Abraham whom she bore Hagar the Egyptian [the] maidservant of Sarah to Abraham.
13 १३ इश्माएल के पुत्रों के नाम और वंशावली यह है: अर्थात् इश्माएल का जेठा पुत्र नबायोत, फिर केदार, अदबएल, मिबसाम,
And these [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Ishmael by names their to descendants their [the] firstborn of Ishmael [was] Nebaioth and Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsam.
And Mishma and Dumah and Massa.
(Hadad *LA(BH)*) and Tema Jetur Naphish and Kedemah.
16 १६ इश्माएल के पुत्र ये ही हुए, और इन्हीं के नामों के अनुसार इनके गाँवों, और छावनियों के नाम भी पड़े; और ये ही बारह अपने-अपने कुल के प्रधान हुए।
These they [were] [the] sons of Ishmael and these [are] names their by villages their and by encampments their two [plus] ten princes to tribes their.
17 १७ इश्माएल की सारी आयु एक सौ सैंतीस वर्ष की हुई; तब उसके प्राण छूट गए, और वह अपने लोगों में जा मिला।
And these [are] [the] years of [the] life of Ishmael one hundred year[s] and thirty year[s] and seven years and he expired and he died and he was gathered to kinspeople his.
18 १८ और उसके वंश हवीला से शूर तक, जो मिस्र के सम्मुख अश्शूर के मार्ग में है, बस गए; और उनका भाग उनके सब भाई-बन्धुओं के सम्मुख पड़ा।
And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur which [is] on [the] face of Egypt going you Asshur towards on [the] face of all relatives his he fell.
And these [are] [the] accounts of Isaac [the] son of Abraham Abraham he fathered Isaac.
20 २० और इसहाक ने चालीस वर्ष का होकर रिबका को, जो पद्दनराम के वासी, अरामी बतूएल की बेटी, और अरामी लाबान की बहन थी, ब्याह लिया।
And he was Isaac a son of forty year[s] when took he Rebekah [the] daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram [the] sister of Laban the Aramean for himself to a wife.
21 २१ इसहाक की पत्नी तो बाँझ थी, इसलिए उसने उसके निमित्त यहोवा से विनती की; और यहोवा ने उसकी विनती सुनी, इस प्रकार उसकी पत्नी रिबका गर्भवती हुई।
And he prayed Isaac to Yahweh to before wife his for [was] barren she and he was entreated by him Yahweh and she conceived Rebekah wife his.
22 २२ लड़के उसके गर्भ में आपस में लिपटकर एक दूसरे को मारने लगे। तब उसने कहा, “मेरी जो ऐसी ही दशा रहेगी तो मैं कैसे जीवित रहूँगी?” और वह यहोवा की इच्छा पूछने को गई।
And they struggled together the children in inward part[s] her and she said if thus why? this [am] I and she went to consult Yahweh.
23 २३ तब यहोवा ने उससे कहा, “तेरे गर्भ में दो जातियाँ हैं, और तेरी कोख से निकलते ही दो राज्य के लोग अलग-अलग होंगे, और एक राज्य के लोग दूसरे से अधिक सामर्थी होंगे और बड़ा बेटा छोटे के अधीन होगा।”
And he said Yahweh to her two (nations *Q(k)*) [are] in womb your and two peoples from inward parts your they will separate and a people more than a people it will be strong and [the] great [one] it will serve [the] young [one].
And they were completed days her to give birth and there! twins [were] in womb her.
25 २५ पहला जो उत्पन्न हुआ वह लाल निकला, और उसका सारा शरीर कम्बल के समान रोममय था; इसलिए उसका नाम एसाव रखा गया।
And he came out the first red all of him [was] like a cloak of hair and they called name his Esau.
26 २६ पीछे उसका भाई अपने हाथ से एसाव की एड़ी पकड़े हुए उत्पन्न हुआ; और उसका नाम याकूब रखा गया। जब रिबका ने उनको जन्म दिया तब इसहाक साठ वर्ष का था।
And after thus he came out brother his and hand his [was] holding on [the] heel of Esau and he called name his Jacob and Isaac [was] a son of sixty year[s] when fathered them.
27 २७ फिर वे लड़के बढ़ने लगे और एसाव तो वनवासी होकर चतुर शिकार खेलनेवाला हो गया, पर याकूब सीधा मनुष्य था, और तम्बुओं में रहा करता था।
And they grew up the lads and he was Esau a man [who] knew hunting a man of [the] open country and Jacob [was] a man quiet [who] dwelt tents.
28 २८ इसहाक एसाव के अहेर का माँस खाया करता था, इसलिए वह उससे प्रीति रखता था; पर रिबका याकूब से प्रीति रखती थी।
And he loved Isaac Esau for wild game [was] in mouth his and Rebekah [was] loving Jacob.
And he had cooked Jacob cooked food and he came Esau from the field and he [was] exhausted.
30 ३० तब एसाव ने याकूब से कहा, “वह जो लाल वस्तु है, उसी लाल वस्तु में से मुझे कुछ खिला, क्योंकि मैं थका हूँ।” इसी कारण उसका नाम एदोम भी पड़ा।
And he said Esau to Jacob let swallow me please some of the red [stew] the red [stew] this for [am] exhausted I there-fore someone called name his Edom.
And he said Jacob sell! as the day birthright your to me.
And he said Esau here! I [am] going to die and for what? this to me [is] a birthright.
33 ३३ याकूब ने कहा, “मुझसे अभी शपथ खा,” अतः उसने उससे शपथ खाई, और अपना पहलौठे का अधिकार याकूब के हाथ बेच डाला।
And he said Jacob swear! to me as the day and he swore to him and he sold birthright his to Jacob.
34 ३४ इस पर याकूब ने एसाव को रोटी और पकाई हुई मसूर की दाल दी; और उसने खाया पिया, तब उठकर चला गया। इस प्रकार एसाव ने अपना पहलौठे का अधिकार तुच्छ जाना।
And Jacob he gave to Esau bread and cooked food of lentils and he ate and he drank and he arose and he went and he despised Esau the birthright.
