निर्गमन 11
1 १ फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, “एक और विपत्ति मैं फ़िरौन और मिस्र देश पर डालता हूँ, उसके पश्चात् वह तुम लोगों को वहाँ से जाने देगा; और जब वह जाने देगा तब तुम सभी को निश्चय निकाल देगा।
Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “I will cause one more disaster to strike the king of Egypt and all his people [MTY]. After that, he will let you leave. In fact, he will expel you all.
2 २ मेरी प्रजा को मेरी यह आज्ञा सुना कि एक-एक पुरुष अपने-अपने पड़ोसी, और एक-एक स्त्री अपनी-अपनी पड़ोसिन से सोने-चाँदी के गहने माँग ले।”
So now speak to all the [Israeli] people. Tell them to ask all their [Egyptian] neighbors, both men and women, to give them some silver and gold jewelry.”
3 ३ तब यहोवा ने मिस्रियों को अपनी प्रजा पर दयालु किया। और इससे अधिक वह पुरुष मूसा मिस्र देश में फ़िरौन के कर्मचारियों और साधारण लोगों की दृष्टि में अति महान था।
Yahweh made the Egyptians highly respect the Israeli people. In particular, the Egyptian officials and all [the rest of] the people considered Moses/me to be a very great man.
4 ४ फिर मूसा ने कहा, “यहोवा इस प्रकार कहता है, कि आधी रात के लगभग मैं मिस्र देश के बीच में होकर चलूँगा।
Then Moses/I [went to the king and] said, “This is what Yahweh says: ‘About midnight [tonight] I will go throughout Egypt,
5 ५ तब मिस्र में सिंहासन पर विराजनेवाले फ़िरौन से लेकर चक्की पीसनेवाली दासी तक के पहलौठे; वरन् पशुओं तक के सब पहलौठे मर जाएँगे।
and I will cause all the firstborn/oldest [sons] to die. That will include your oldest son, the oldest sons of the slave women who grind grain, [and the oldest sons of everyone else]. I will also kill the oldest males of the Egyptians’ livestock.
When that happens, people all over Egypt will wail loudly. They have never wailed like that before, and they will never wail like that again.
7 ७ पर इस्राएलियों के विरुद्ध, क्या मनुष्य क्या पशु, किसी पर कोई कुत्ता भी न भौंकेगा; जिससे तुम जान लो कि मिस्रियों और इस्राएलियों में मैं यहोवा अन्तर करता हूँ।
But among the Israeli people [it will be so quiet that] not even a dog will bark! Then you will know for sure that I, Yahweh, distinguish [how I act toward] the Egyptians and [how I act toward] the Israeli people.
8 ८ तब तेरे ये सब कर्मचारी मेरे पास आ मुझे दण्डवत् करके यह कहेंगे, ‘अपने सब अनुचरों समेत निकल जा।’ और उसके पश्चात् मैं निकल जाऊँगा।” यह कहकर मूसा बड़े क्रोध में फ़िरौन के पास से निकल गया।
Then all these officials of yours will come and bow down before me and will say, “Please get out [of Egypt], you and all the Israeli people!”’ After that, I will leave Egypt!” [After Moses/I said that], he/I very angrily left the king.
9 ९ यहोवा ने मूसा से कह दिया था, “फ़िरौन तुम्हारी न सुनेगा; क्योंकि मेरी इच्छा है कि मिस्र देश में बहुत से चमत्कार करूँ।”
Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “The king will not pay any attention to what you say. The result will be that I will perform more plagues in the land of Egypt.”
10 १० मूसा और हारून ने फ़िरौन के सामने ये सब चमत्कार किए; पर यहोवा ने फ़िरौन का मन और कठोर कर दिया, इसलिए उसने इस्राएलियों को अपने देश से जाने न दिया।
Aaron and Moses/I performed all these miracles in front of the king, but Yahweh made the king stubborn, and he did not let the Israeli people leave his country.
