व्यवस्था विवरण 8
1 १ “जो-जो आज्ञा मैं आज तुझे सुनाता हूँ उन सभी पर चलने की चौकसी करना, इसलिए कि तुम जीवित रहो और बढ़ते रहो, और जिस देश के विषय में यहोवा ने तुम्हारे पूर्वजों से शपथ खाई है उसमें जाकर उसके अधिकारी हो जाओ।
“All the command which I am commanding you today you observe to do, so that you live, and have multiplied, and gone in, and possessed the land which YHWH has sworn to your fathers;
2 २ और स्मरण रख कि तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उन चालीस वर्षों में तुझे सारे जंगल के मार्ग में से इसलिए ले आया है, कि वह तुझे नम्र बनाए, और तेरी परीक्षा करके यह जान ले कि तेरे मन में क्या-क्या है, और कि तू उसकी आज्ञाओं का पालन करेगा या नहीं।
and you have remembered all the way which your God YHWH has caused you to go these forty years in the wilderness, in order to humble you to try you, to know that which [is] in your heart, whether you keep His commands or not.
3 ३ उसने तुझको नम्र बनाया, और भूखा भी होने दिया, फिर वह मन्ना, जिसे न तू और न तेरे पुरखा भी जानते थे, वही तुझको खिलाया; इसलिए कि वह तुझको सिखाए कि मनुष्य केवल रोटी ही से नहीं जीवित रहता, परन्तु जो-जो वचन यहोवा के मुँह से निकलते हैं उन ही से वह जीवित रहता है।
And He humbles you, and causes you to hunger, and causes you to eat the manna (which you have not known, even your fathers have not known), in order to cause you to know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything proceeding [from] the mouth of YHWH.
Your raiment has not worn out from off you, and your foot has not swelled these forty years,
5 ५ फिर अपने मन में यह तो विचार कर, कि जैसा कोई अपने बेटे को ताड़ना देता है वैसे ही तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझको ताड़ना देता है।
and you have known with your heart that as a man disciplines his son, your God YHWH is disciplining you,
6 ६ इसलिए अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की आज्ञाओं का पालन करते हुए उसके मार्गों पर चलना, और उसका भय मानते रहना।
and you have kept the commands of your God YHWH, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.
7 ७ क्योंकि तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे एक उत्तम देश में लिये जा रहा है, जो जल की नदियों का, और तराइयों और पहाड़ों से निकले हुए गहरे-गहरे सोतों का देश है।
For your God YHWH is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of waters, of fountains, and of depths coming out in valley and in mountain;
a land of wheat, and barley, and vine, and fig, and pomegranate; a land of oil olive and honey;
9 ९ उस देश में अन्न की महँगी न होगी, और न उसमें तुझे किसी पदार्थ की घटी होगी; वहाँ के पत्थर लोहे के हैं, और वहाँ के पहाड़ों में से तू तांबा खोदकर निकाल सकेगा।
a land in which you eat bread without scarcity—you do not lack anything in it; a land whose stones [are] iron, and you dig bronze out of its mountains.
And you have eaten and been satisfied, and have blessed your God YHWH on the good land which he has given to you.
11 ११ “इसलिए सावधान रहना, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को भूलकर उसकी जो-जो आज्ञा, नियम, और विधि, मैं आज तुझे सुनाता हूँ उनका मानना छोड़ दे;
Take heed to yourself lest you forget your God YHWH so as not to keep His commands, and His judgments, and His statutes which I am commanding you today;
lest you eat and have been satisfied, and build good houses and have inhabited [them],
13 १३ और तेरी गाय-बैलों और भेड़-बकरियों की बढ़ती हो, और तेरा सोना, चाँदी, और तेरा सब प्रकार का धन बढ़ जाए,
and your herd and your flock are multiplied, and silver and gold are multiplied to you, and all that is yours is multiplied,
14 १४ तब तेरे मन में अहंकार समा जाए, और तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को भूल जाए, जो तुझको दासत्व के घर अर्थात् मिस्र देश से निकाल लाया है,
and your heart has been high, and you have forgotten your God YHWH who is bringing you out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants;
15 १५ और उस बड़े और भयानक जंगल में से ले आया है, जहाँ तेज विषवाले सर्प और बिच्छू हैं, और जलरहित सूखे देश में उसने तेरे लिये चकमक की चट्टान से जल निकाला,
who is causing you to go in the great and the terrible wilderness [with] burning serpent, and scorpion, and thirst—where there is no water; who is bringing out waters to you from the flinty rock;
16 १६ और तुझे जंगल में मन्ना खिलाया, जिसे तुम्हारे पुरखा जानते भी न थे, इसलिए कि वह तुझे नम्र बनाए, और तेरी परीक्षा करके अन्त में तेरा भला ही करे।
who is causing you to eat manna in the wilderness, which your fathers have not known, in order to humble you, and in order to try you, to do you good in your latter end;
17 १७ और कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तू सोचने लगे, कि यह सम्पत्ति मेरे ही सामर्थ्य और मेरे ही भुजबल से मुझे प्राप्त हुई।
and you have said in your heart, My power and the might of my hand have made this wealth for me.
18 १८ परन्तु तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को स्मरण रखना, क्योंकि वही है जो तुझे सम्पत्ति प्राप्त करने की सामर्थ्य इसलिए देता है, कि जो वाचा उसने तेरे पूर्वजों से शपथ खाकर बाँधी थी उसको पूरा करे, जैसा आज प्रगट है।
And you have remembered your God YHWH, for it [is] He who is giving power to you to make wealth, in order to establish His covenant which He has sworn to your fathers, as [at] this day.
19 १९ यदि तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को भूलकर दूसरे देवताओं के पीछे हो लेगा, और उनकी उपासना और उनको दण्डवत् करेगा, तो मैं आज तुम को चिता देता हूँ कि तुम निःसन्देह नष्ट हो जाओगे।
And it has been, if you really forget your God YHWH, and have gone after other gods, and served them, and bowed yourself to them, I have testified against you today that you utterly perish.
20 २० जिन जातियों को यहोवा तुम्हारे सम्मुख से नष्ट करने पर है, उन्हीं के समान तुम भी अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा का वचन न मानने के कारण नष्ट हो जाओगे।
As the nations whom YHWH is destroying from your presence, so you perish, because you do not listen to the voice of your God YHWH.”
