व्यवस्था विवरण 3
1 १ “तब हम मुड़कर बाशान के मार्ग से चढ़ चले; और बाशान का ओग नामक राजा अपनी सारी सेना समेत हमारा सामना करने को निकल आया, कि एद्रेई में युद्ध करे।
Then turned we and went up, the way of Bashan; and Og king of Bashan, came out to meet us, he, and all his people, to give battle at Edrei.
2 २ तब यहोवा ने मुझसे कहा, ‘उससे मत डर; क्योंकि मैं उसको सारी सेना और देश समेत तेरे हाथ में किए देता हूँ; और जैसा तूने हेशबोन के निवासी एमोरियों के राजा सीहोन से किया है वैसा ही उससे भी करना।’
And Yahweh said unto me: Do not fear him, for into thy hand, have I delivered him and all his people and his land, —so then thou shalt do unto him, as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites who was dwelling in Heshbon.
3 ३ इस प्रकार हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने सारी सेना समेत बाशान के राजा ओग को भी हमारे हाथ में कर दिया; और हम उसको यहाँ तक मारते रहे कि उनमें से कोई भी न बच पाया।
Then did Yahweh our God deliver into our hand, Og also, king of Bashan and all his people, —so we smote him until there was not left remaining to him a survivor.
4 ४ उसी समय हमने उनके सारे नगरों को ले लिया, कोई ऐसा नगर न रह गया जिसे हमने उनसे न ले लिया हो, इस रीति अर्गोब का सारा देश, जो बाशान में ओग के राज्य में था और उसमें साठ नगर थे, वह हमारे वश में आ गया।
And we captured all his cities, at that time, there was no fortress which we took not from them, —sixty cities all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
5 ५ ये सब नगर गढ़वाले थे, और उनके ऊँची-ऊँची शहरपनाह, और फाटक, और बेंड़े थे, और इनको छोड़ बिना शहरपनाह के भी बहुत से नगर थे।
All these, were fortified cities each with a high wall, folding gates and a bar, —besides country towns exceeding many.
6 ६ और जैसा हमने हेशबोन के राजा सीहोन के नगरों से किया था वैसा ही हमने इन नगरों से भी किया, अर्थात् सब बसे हुए नगरों को स्त्रियों और बाल-बच्चों समेत सत्यानाश कर डाला।
And we devoted them to destruction, doing unto them as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, —devoting to destruction every city of males, the women, and the little ones.
But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, made we our prey.
8 ८ इस प्रकार हमने उस समय यरदन के इस पार रहनेवाले एमोरियों के दोनों राजाओं के हाथ से अर्नोन के नाले से लेकर हेर्मोन पर्वत तक का देश ले लिया।
Thus did we at that time take the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites (which was over the Jordan), —from the ravine of Arnon as far as Mount Hermon.
Sidonians, call Hermon Sirion, —but, the Amorites, call it Senir.
10 १० समथर देश के सब नगर, और सारा गिलाद, और सल्का, और एद्रेई तक जो ओग के राज्य के नगर थे, सारा बाशान हमारे वश में आ गया।
All the cities of the table-land, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, —unto Salecah, and Edrei, —cities of the kingdom of Og, in Bashan.
11 ११ जो रपाई रह गए थे, उनमें से केवल बाशान का राजा ओग रह गया था, उसकी चारपाई जो लोहे की है वह तो अम्मोनियों के रब्बाह नगर में पड़ी है, साधारण पुरुष के हाथ के हिसाब से उसकी लम्बाई नौ हाथ की और चौड़ाई चार हाथ की है।
For, only Og, king of Bashan was left remaining of the remnant of the giants, lo! his bedstead, was a bedstead of iron, is not, the same, in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits, the length thereof and four cubits, the breadth thereof, by the fore-arm of a man.
12 १२ “जो देश हमने उस समय अपने अधिकार में ले लिया वह यह है, अर्थात् अर्नोन के नाले के किनारेवाले अरोएर नगर से लेकर सब नगरों समेत गिलाद के पहाड़ी देश का आधा भाग, जिसे मैंने रूबेनियों और गादियों को दे दिया,
And this land, took we in possession at that time, —from Aroer which is by the ravine of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites;
13 १३ और गिलाद का बचा हुआ भाग, और सारा बाशान, अर्थात् अर्गोब का सारा देश जो ओग के राज्य में था, इन्हें मैंने मनश्शे के आधे गोत्र को दे दिया। (सारा बाशान तो रपाइयों का देश कहलाता है।
but the remainder of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —all the region of the Argob with all Bashan. The same, is called, A land of giants.
14 १४ और मनश्शेई याईर ने गशूरियों और माकावासियों की सीमा तक अर्गोब का सारा देश ले लिया, और बाशान के नगरों का नाम अपने नाम पर हब्बोत्याईर रखा, और वही नाम आज तक बना है।)
Jair, son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites, —and called them after his own name The Bashan of Havvoth-jair unto this day.
And, unto Machir, gave I Gilead;
16 १६ और रूबेनियों और गादियों को मैंने गिलाद से लेकर अर्नोन के नाले तक का देश दे दिया, अर्थात् उस नाले का बीच उनकी सीमा ठहराया, और यब्बोक नदी तक जो अम्मोनियों की सीमा है;
And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites, gave I—from Gilead even as far as the ravine of Arnon, the middle of the ravine and boundary, —even as far as the Jabbok ravine, the boundary of the sons of Ammon;
17 १७ और किन्नेरेत से लेकर पिसगा की ढलान के नीचे के अराबा के ताल तक, जो खारा ताल भी कहलाता है, अराबा और यरदन की पूर्व की ओर का सारा देश भी मैंने उन्हीं को दे दिया।
the Waste Plain also and the Jordan and boundary, —from Chinnereth, even as far as the sea of the Waste Plain the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah, on the east.
18 १८ “उस समय मैंने तुम्हें यह आज्ञा दी, ‘तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हें यह देश दिया है कि उसे अपने अधिकार में रखो; तुम सब योद्धा हथियार-बन्द होकर अपने भाई इस्राएलियों के आगे-आगे पार चलो।
So I commanded you, at that time saying, —Yahweh your God hath given unto you this land to possess it, armed, shall ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel all the sons of valour,
19 १९ परन्तु तुम्हारी स्त्रियाँ, और बाल-बच्चे, और पशु, जिन्हें मैं जानता हूँ कि बहुत से हैं, वह सब तुम्हारे नगरों में जो मैंने तुम्हें दिए हैं रह जाएँ।
Only, your wives and your little ones and your cattle—I know that ye have much cattle—shall abide in your cities which I have given unto you;
20 २० और जब यहोवा तुम्हारे भाइयों को वैसा विश्राम दे जैसा कि उसने तुम को दिया है, और वे उस देश के अधिकारी हो जाएँ जो तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा उन्हें यरदन पार देता है; तब तुम भी अपने-अपने अधिकार की भूमि पर जो मैंने तुम्हें दी है लौटोगे।’
until that Yahweh shall give rest unto your brethren, as well as you, so shall, they too, possess the land which, Yahweh your God, is giving unto them, over the Jordan, —then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given unto you.
21 २१ फिर मैंने उसी समय यहोशू से चिताकर कहा, ‘तूने अपनी आँखों से देखा है कि तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने इन दोनों राजाओं से क्या-क्या किया है; वैसा ही यहोवा उन सब राज्यों से करेगा जिनमें तू पार होकर जाएगा।
Joshua also, commanded I, at that time saying, —Thine are the eyes, that have seen all that Yahweh your God hath done unto these two kings, thus, will Yahweh do unto all the kingdoms whereunto thou, art passing over:
ye shall not fear them, —for, Yahweh your God, he, it is that is fighting for you.
Then sought I Yahweh at that time, for a favour saying:
24 २४ ‘हे प्रभु यहोवा, तू अपने दास को अपनी महिमा और बलवन्त हाथ दिखाने लगा है; स्वर्ग में और पृथ्वी पर ऐसा कौन देवता है जो तेरे से काम और पराक्रम के कर्म कर सके?
My Lord Yahweh, thou thyself, hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy firm hand, —as to which, what GOD is there, in the heavens or in the earth, that can do according to thy doings, and according to thy mighty deeds?
25 २५ इसलिए मुझे पार जाने दे कि यरदन पार के उस उत्तम देश को, अर्थात् उस उत्तम पहाड़ और लबानोन को भी देखने पाऊँ।’
Let me pass over, I pray thee that I may see the good land that is over the Jordan, —this good mountain, and the Lebanon.
26 २६ परन्तु यहोवा तुम्हारे कारण मुझसे रुष्ट हो गया, और मेरी न सुनी; किन्तु यहोवा ने मुझसे कहा, ‘बस कर; इस विषय में फिर कभी मुझसे बातें न करना।
But Yahweh had been provoked with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me, —and Yahweh said unto me, Enough for thee! do not add a word unto me further in this matter.
27 २७ पिसगा पहाड़ की चोटी पर चढ़ जा, और पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर, दक्षिण, चारों ओर दृष्टि करके उस देश को देख ले; क्योंकि तू इस यरदन के पार जाने न पाएगा।
Ascend the top of the Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes—westward, and northward and southward and eastward—and see with thine own eyes, —for thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.
28 २८ और यहोशू को आज्ञा दे, और उसे ढाढ़स देकर दृढ़ कर; क्योंकि इन लोगों के आगे-आगे वही पार जाएगा, और जो देश तू देखेगा उसको वही उनका निज भाग करा देगा।’
But command thou Joshua and confirm him and embolden him, —for, he, shall pass over before this people, and, he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
So we abode in the valley, over against Beth-peor.
