1 कुरिन्थियों 12

1 १ हे भाइयों, मैं नहीं चाहता कि तुम आत्मिक वरदानों के विषय में अज्ञात रहो।

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.

2 २ तुम जानते हो, कि जब तुम अन्यजाति थे, तो गूँगी मूरतों के पीछे जैसे चलाए जाते थे वैसे चलते थे।

You know that when you were pagans you were somehow enticed and led astray to mute idols.

3 ३ इसलिए मैं तुम्हें चेतावनी देता हूँ कि जो कोई परमेश्वर की आत्मा की अगुआई से बोलता है, वह नहीं कहता कि यीशु श्रापित है; और न कोई पवित्र आत्मा के बिना कह सकता है कि यीशु प्रभु है।

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can call Jesus Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

4 ४ वरदान तो कई प्रकार के हैं, परन्तु आत्मा एक ही है।

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;

5 ५ और सेवा भी कई प्रकार की है, परन्तु प्रभु एक ही है।

and there are varieties of ministries, but the same Lord;

6 ६ और प्रभावशाली कार्य कई प्रकार के हैं, परन्तु परमेश्वर एक ही है, जो सब में हर प्रकार का प्रभाव उत्पन्न करता है।

and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers all of them in everyone.

7 ७ किन्तु सब के लाभ पहुँचाने के लिये हर एक को आत्मा का प्रकाश दिया जाता है।

A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the benefit of all.

8 ८ क्योंकि एक को आत्मा के द्वारा बुद्धि की बातें दी जाती हैं; और दूसरे को उसी आत्मा के अनुसार ज्ञान की बातें।

To one person there is given a word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

9 ९ और किसी को उसी आत्मा से विश्वास; और किसी को उसी एक आत्मा से चंगा करने का वरदान दिया जाता है।

to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the same Spirit,

10 १० फिर किसी को सामर्थ्य के काम करने की शक्ति; और किसी को भविष्यद्वाणी की; और किसी को आत्माओं की परख, और किसी को अनेक प्रकार की भाषा; और किसी को भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना।

to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.

11 ११ परन्तु ये सब प्रभावशाली कार्य वही एक आत्मा करवाता है, और जिसे जो चाहता है वह बाँट देता है।

All these gifts are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who distributes to each person individually just as he wills.

12 १२ क्योंकि जिस प्रकार देह तो एक है और उसके अंग बहुत से हैं, और उस एक देह के सब अंग, बहुत होने पर भी सब मिलकर एक ही देह हैं, उसी प्रकार मसीह भी है।

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members constitute one body even though they are many, so it is with Christ.

13 १३ क्योंकि हम सब ने क्या यहूदी हो, क्या यूनानी, क्या दास, क्या स्वतंत्र एक ही आत्मा के द्वारा एक देह होने के लिये बपतिस्मा लिया, और हम सब को एक ही आत्मा पिलाया गया।

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we have all been given to drink into one Spirit.

14 १४ इसलिए कि देह में एक ही अंग नहीं, परन्तु बहुत से हैं।

Even so the body does not consist of one member, but many.

15 १५ यदि पाँव कहे: कि मैं हाथ नहीं, इसलिए देह का नहीं, तो क्या वह इस कारण देह का नहीं?

If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” is it for that reason not a part of the body?

16 १६ और यदि कान कहे, “मैं आँख नहीं, इसलिए देह का नहीं,” तो क्या वह इस कारण देह का नहीं?

And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” is it for that reason not a part of the body?

17 १७ यदि सारी देह आँख ही होती तो सुनना कहाँ से होता? यदि सारी देह कान ही होती तो सूँघना कहाँ होता?

If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?

18 १८ परन्तु सचमुच परमेश्वर ने अंगों को अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार एक-एक करके देह में रखा है।

But as it is, God has placed each one of the members in the body just as he desired.

19 १९ यदि वे सब एक ही अंग होते, तो देह कहाँ होती?

If they were all one member, where would the body be?

20 २० परन्तु अब अंग तो बहुत से हैं, परन्तु देह एक ही है।

As it is, there are many members, yet one body.

21 २१ आँख हाथ से नहीं कह सकती, “मुझे तेरा प्रयोजन नहीं,” और न सिर पाँवों से कह सकता है, “मुझे तुम्हारा प्रयोजन नहीं।”

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of yoʋ,” nor in turn can the head say to the feet, “I have no need of you.”

22 २२ परन्तु देह के वे अंग जो औरों से निर्बल देख पड़ते हैं, बहुत ही आवश्यक हैं।

On the contrary, the members of the body that seem to be weaker are essential,

23 २३ और देह के जिन अंगों को हम कम आदरणीय समझते हैं उन्हीं को हम अधिक आदर देते हैं; और हमारे शोभाहीन अंग और भी बहुत शोभायमान हो जाते हैं,

and the members of the body that we consider to be less honorable are clothed with more abundant honor. And our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty,

24 २४ फिर भी हमारे शोभायमान अंगों को इसका प्रयोजन नहीं, परन्तु परमेश्वर ने देह को ऐसा बना दिया है, कि जिस अंग को घटी थी उसी को और भी बहुत आदर हो।

but our presentable parts have no need of it. Instead, God has put the body together, giving more abundant honor to the part that lacked it,

25 २५ ताकि देह में फूट न पड़े, परन्तु अंग एक दूसरे की बराबर चिन्ता करें।

so that there would be no divisions in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for one another.

26 २६ इसलिए यदि एक अंग दुःख पाता है, तो सब अंग उसके साथ दुःख पाते हैं; और यदि एक अंग की बड़ाई होती है, तो उसके साथ सब अंग आनन्द मनाते हैं।

If one member suffers, all the other members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the other members rejoice with it.

27 २७ इसी प्रकार तुम सब मिलकर मसीह की देह हो, और अलग-अलग उसके अंग हो।

Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.

28 २८ और परमेश्वर ने कलीसिया में अलग-अलग व्यक्ति नियुक्त किए हैं; प्रथम प्रेरित, दूसरे भविष्यद्वक्ता, तीसरे शिक्षक, फिर सामर्थ्य के काम करनेवाले, फिर चंगा करनेवाले, और उपकार करनेवाले, और प्रधान, और नाना प्रकार की भाषा बोलनेवाले।

And those whom God has appointed in the church are as follows: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, leading, and various kinds of tongues.

29 २९ क्या सब प्रेरित हैं? क्या सब भविष्यद्वक्ता हैं? क्या सब उपदेशक हैं? क्या सब सामर्थ्य के काम करनेवाले हैं?

Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?

30 ३० क्या सब को चंगा करने का वरदान मिला है? क्या सब नाना प्रकार की भाषा बोलते हैं?

Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?

31 ३१ क्या सब अनुवाद करते हैं? तुम बड़े से बड़े वरदानों की धुन में रहो! परन्तु मैं तुम्हें और भी सबसे उत्तम मार्ग बताता हूँ।

No, but earnestly desire the better gifts. And now I will show you a far more excellent way.
