सपन्याह 3
1 उस शहर पर हाय, जो दुःख देनेवाला विद्रोही और गंदा है!
Woe to her that is rebellious and corrupted, to the oppressing city!
2 वह न तो किसी की बात को मानता है. और न ही किसी के सुझाव को स्वीकार करता है. वह याहवेह पर भरोसा नहीं करता, वह अपने परमेश्वर के पास नहीं जाता.
She hearkened not to the voice; she received not correction; she confided not in Jehovah; she drew not near her God.
3 उसके अधिकारी उसमें गरजनेवाले सिंह; और उसके शासक संध्या के समय शिकार करनेवाले भेड़ियों के जैसे हैं, जो सुबह तक के लिये कुछ नहीं बचाते.
Her princes in the midst of her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves, that leave nothing for the morning.
4 उसके भविष्यवक्ता अनैतिक हैं; वे विश्वासघाती लोग हैं. उसके पुरोहित पवित्र स्थान को अपवित्र करते हैं; और वे कानून को तोड़ते हैं.
Her prophets are vain-glorious, treacherous persons; her priests profane the sanctuary, they do violence to the law.
5 याहवेह उसके बीच धर्मी हैं; वे कोई गलत काम नहीं करते. वे हर दिन प्रातः अपना न्याय प्रगट करते हैं, और किसी भी दिन वे असफल नहीं होते हैं, फिर भी अधर्मी लज्जित नहीं होते.
The righteous Jehovah is in the midst of her: he doeth no wrong. Every morning doth he bring his judgment to light; it faileth not: but the unrighteous knoweth no shame.
6 “मैंने जाति-जाति के लोगों को नाश किया है; उनके गढ़ ढहा दिये गये हैं. मैंने उनकी गलियों को विरान छोड़ दिया है, और उन गलियों से होकर कोई भी नहीं जाता. उनके शहर उजड़ गये हैं; वे त्याग दिये गये और खाली हैं.
I have cut off nations: their battlements are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by; their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, so that there is no inhabitant.
7 येरूशलेम के बारे में मेरा विचार था, ‘निश्चय ही तुम मेरा भय मानोगे और मेरा सुझाव स्वीकार करोगे!’ तब उसके शरण स्थल न तो नाश किए जाते, और न ही मेरा कोई दंड उनके ऊपर आता. किंतु वे अपने सब कामों में और भी उत्सुकता से बुरे काम करने लगे.
I said, Only fear me, receive correction; so her dwelling shall not be cut off, howsoever I may punish her. But they rose early, they corrupted all their doings.
8 इसलिये याहवेह की यह घोषणा है, मेरे लिये उस दिन का इंतजार करो, जब मैं गवाही देने के लिये खड़ा होऊंगा. मैंने निश्चय किया है कि मैं जाति-जाति के लोगों, और राज्य-राज्य के लोगों को इकट्ठा करूंगा, ताकि मैं उन पर अपना कोप प्रगट कर सकूं— मेरा पूरा भयंकर क्रोध. मेरी ईर्ष्या के क्रोध की आग से सारा संसार जलकर नष्ट हो जाएगा.
Therefore wait ye for me, saith Jehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey; for my determination is to assemble the nations, that I may gather the kingdoms together, to pour upon them mine indignation, — all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
9 “तब मैं लोगों के होंठों को शुद्ध करूंगा, कि वे सब याहवेह को पुकारें और कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर उनकी सेवा करें.
For then will I turn to the peoples a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Jehovah, to serve him with one consent.
10 कूश की नदियों के पार से मेरी आराधना करनेवाले, मेरे बिखरे लोग, मेरे लिये भेंटें लेकर आएंगे.
From beyond the rivers of Cush my suppliants, the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine oblation.
11 हे येरूशलेम, उस दिन, तुम्हें मेरे विरुद्ध किए गये बुरे कामों के लिये लज्जित नहीं किया जाएगा, क्योंकि मैं तुम्हारे बीच से तुम्हारे ढीठ अहंकारी लोगों को निकाल दूंगा. और तुम मेरे पवित्र पहाड़ी पर फिर कभी घमंड न करोगे.
In that day thou shalt not be ashamed for all thy doings wherein thou hast transgressed against me; for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that exult in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
12 पर मैं तुम्हारे बीच सिर्फ नम्र और दीन लोगों को रहने दूंगा. इस्राएल के बचे हुए लोग याहवेह के नाम पर भरोसा करेंगे.
And I will leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of Jehovah.
13 इस्राएल के बचे हुए लोग कोई गलत काम नहीं करेंगे; वे झूठ नहीं बोलेंगे. उनके मुंह से कोई छल की बात नहीं निकलेगी. वे खाकर आराम करेंगे और कोई उन्हें नहीं डराएगा.”
The remnant of Israel shall not work unrighteousness, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: but they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
14 हे बेटी ज़ियोन, गा; हे इस्राएल, जय जयकार कर! हे बेटी येरूशलेम! खुश रह और अपने पूरे हृदय से आनंद मना.
Exult, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; rejoice and be glad with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem:
15 याहवेह ने तुम्हारे दंड को दूर कर दिया है, उन्होंने तुम्हारे शत्रुओं को हटा दिया है. याहवेह, इस्राएल के राजा तुम्हारे साथ हैं; अब तुम्हें कभी कोई हानि नहीं होगी.
Jehovah hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy; the King of Israel, Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not see evil any more.
16 उस दिन वे येरूशलेम से कहेंगे, “हे ज़ियोन, मत डर; तुम्हारे हाथ दुर्बल न होने पाएं.
In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear not; Zion, let not thy hands be slack.
17 याहवेह, तुम्हारे परमेश्वर तुम्हारे साथ हैं, वह पराक्रमी योद्धा है, जो तुम्हें बचाता है. तुम उनके आनंद का विषय होगे; अपने प्रेम में वह तुम्हें फिर कभी नहीं डांटेंगे, पर तुम्हारे कारण वे गीत गाकर आनंदित होंगे.”
Jehovah thy God is in thy midst, a mighty one that will save: he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love; he will exult over thee with singing.
18 “जो लोग तुम्हारे ठहराये पर्वों में सम्मिलित न हो पाने के कारण खेदित रहते हैं, मैं उन सबको तुम्हारे बीच से हटा दूंगा, जो तुम्हारे लिए एक बोझ और कलंक है.
I will gather them that sorrow for the solemn assemblies, who were of thee: the reproach of it was a burden [unto them].
19 उस समय मैं उन सबसे लेखा लूंगा जिन्होंने तुम्हें दुःख दिया है. मैं लंगड़े को बचाऊंगा; मैं निकाले गये लोगों को इकट्ठा करूंगा. मैं उन्हें हर उस देश में महिमा और आदर दूंगा जहां उन्हें लज्जित होना पड़ा है.
Behold, at that time I will deal with all them that afflict thee; and I will save her that halted, and gather her that was driven out; and I will make them a praise and a name in all the lands where they have been put to shame.
20 उस समय मैं तुम्हें इकट्ठा करूंगा. उस समय मैं तुम्हें घर ले आऊंगा. मैं सारी पृथ्वी के लोगों के बीच तुम्हें आदर और महिमा दूंगा जब मैं तुम्हें तुम्हारी आंखों के सामने तुम्हारे खुशहाल जीवन को लौटा लाऊंगा,” याहवेह का यह कहना है.
At that time will I bring you, yea, at the time that I gather you; for I will make you a name and a praise, among all the peoples of the earth, when I shall turn again your captivity before your eyes, saith Jehovah.
