1 तब मैंने एक नया स्वर्ग और एक नई पृथ्वी देखी, अब पहले का स्वर्ग और पहले की पृथ्वी का अस्तित्व न रहा था. समुद्र का अस्तित्व भी न रहा था.
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, because the first heaven and the first earth had passed away; also, the ocean was no more.
2 तब मैंने पवित्र नगरी, नई येरूशलेम को स्वर्ग से, परमेश्वर की ओर से उतरते हुए देखा. वह अपने वर के लिए खुबसूरती से सजाई गई वधू के जैसे सजी थी.
And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
3 तब मैंने सिंहासन से एक ऊंचे शब्द में यह कहते सुना, “देखो! मनुष्यों के बीच में परमेश्वर का निवास! अब परमेश्वर उनके बीच निवास करेंगे. वे उनकी प्रजा होंगे तथा स्वयं परमेश्वर उनके बीच होंगे.
And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying: “Take note, the tabernacle of God is with men and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people. Yes, God Himself will be with them.
4 परमेश्वर उनकी आंखों से हर एक आंसू पोंछ देंगे. अब से मृत्यु मौजूद न रहेगी. अब न रहेगा विलाप, न रोना और न पीड़ा क्योंकि जो पहली बातें थी, अब वे न रहीं.”
And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there will be no more death nor sorrow nor crying nor pain—they will exist no more because the first things have gone.”
5 उन्होंने, जो सिंहासन पर विराजमान हैं, कहा, “देखो! अब मैं नई सृष्टि की रचना कर रहा हूं!” तब उन्होंने मुझे संबोधित करते हुए कहा, “लिखो, क्योंकि जो कुछ कहा जा रहा है, सच और विश्वासयोग्य है.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Take note, I make everything new!” And He says to me, “Write, because these words are true and faithful!”
6 तब उन्होंने आगे कहा, “सब पूरा हो चुका! मैं ही अल्फ़ा और ओमेगा हूं—आदि तथा अंत. मैं उसे, जो प्यासा है, जीवन-जल के सोतों से मुफ्त में पीने को दूंगा.
Then He said to me: “I have become the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I will give of the spring of the water of Life freely.
7 जो विजयी होगा, उसे यह उत्तराधिकार प्राप्त होगा: मैं उसका परमेश्वर होऊंगा, और वह मेरी संतान.
He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be God to him and he will be a son to me.
9 तब जिन सात स्वर्गदूतों के पास सात अंतिम विपत्तियों से भरे सात कटोरे थे, उनमें से एक ने मेरे पास आकर मुझसे कहा, “आओ, मैं तुम्हें वधू—मेमने की पत्नी दिखाऊं.”
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me saying, “Come, I will show you the woman, the Lamb's bride.”
10 तब वह मुझे मेरी आत्मा में ध्यानमग्न अवस्था में एक बड़े पहाड़ के ऊंचे शिखर पर ले गया और मुझे परमेश्वर की ओर से स्वर्ग से उतरता हुआ पवित्र नगर येरूशलेम दिखाया.
So he transported me in spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
11 परमेश्वर की महिमा से सुसज्जित उसकी आभा पारदर्शी स्फटिक जैसे बेशकीमती रत्न सूर्यकांत के समान थी.
having the splendor of God. Her radiance was similar to a most precious stone, like a crystalline jasper stone;
12 नगर की शहरपनाह ऊंची तथा विशाल थी. उसमें बारह द्वार थे तथा बारहों द्वारों पर बारह स्वर्गदूत ठहराए गए थे. उन द्वारों पर इस्राएल के बारह गोत्रों के नाम लिखे थे.
she had a tremendous, high wall with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names inscribed, namely the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel;
13 तीन द्वार पूर्व दिशा की ओर, तीन उत्तर की ओर, तीन दक्षिण की ओर तथा तीन पश्चिम की ओर थे.
looking from the east, three gates, and from the north, three gates, and from the south, three gates, and from the west, three gates.
14 नगर की शहरपनाह की बारह नीवें थी. उन पर मेमने के बारहों प्रेरितों के नाम लिखे थे.
And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names, of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 जो स्वर्गदूत, मुझे संबोधित कर रहा था, उसके पास नगर, उसके द्वार तथा उसकी शहरपनाह को मापने के लिए सोने का एक मापक-दंड था.
Now he who spoke with me had a measure, a golden reed, so that he might measure the city and her gates.
16 नगर की संरचना वर्गाकार थी—उसकी लंबाई उसकी चौड़ाई के बराबर थी. उसने नगर को इस मापदंड से मापा. नगर 2,220 किलोमीटर लंबा, इतना ही चौड़ा और इतना ही ऊंचा था.
The city is laid out as a square; that is, her length is equal to her width. So he measured the city with the reed at twelve thousand and twelve stadia. Her length and width and height are equal.
17 तब उसने शहरपनाह को मापा. वह सामान्य मानवीय मापदंड के अनुसार पैंसठ मीटर थी. यही माप स्वर्गदूत का भी था.
And he measured her wall, one hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man (which is of an angel).
18 शहरपनाह सूर्यकांत मणि की तथा नगर शुद्ध सोने का बना था, जिसकी आभा निर्मल कांच के समान थी.
The material of her wall was jasper, and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
19 शहरपनाह की नींव हर एक प्रकार के कीमती पत्थरों से सजायी गयी थी: पहला पत्थर था सूर्यकांत, दूसरा नीलकांत, तीसरा स्फटिक, चौथा पन्ना
And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation had jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20 पांचवां गोमेद, छठा माणिक्य, सातवां स्वर्णमणि; आठवां हरितमणि; नवां पुखराज; दसवां चन्द्रकांत; ग्यारहवां धूम्रकांत और बारहवां नीलम.
the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.
21 नगर के बारहों द्वार बारह मोती थे—हर एक द्वार एक पूरा मोती था तथा नगर का प्रधान मार्ग शुद्ध सोने का बना था, जिसकी आभा निर्मल कांच के समान थी.
And the twelve gates are twelve pearls; each individual gate was composed of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
22 इस नगर में मुझे कोई मंदिर दिखाई न दिया क्योंकि स्वयं सर्वशक्तिमान प्रभु परमेश्वर और मेमना इसका मंदिर हैं.
I saw no sanctuary in her, because the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb are her sanctuary.
23 नगर को रोशनी देने के लिए न तो सूर्य की ज़रूरत है न चंद्रमा की क्योंकि परमेश्वर का तेज उसे उजियाला देता है तथा स्वयं मेमना इसका दीपक है.
And the city has no need of the sun or the moon, that they should shine on her, because the very glory of God illumines her, and the Lamb is her light.
24 राष्ट्र उसकी रोशनी में वास करेंगे तथा पृथ्वी के राजा इसमें अपना वैभव ले आएंगे.
And the nations will walk in her light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into her.
25 दिन की समाप्ति पर नगर द्वार कभी बंद न किए जाएंगे क्योंकि रात यहां कभी होगी ही नहीं.
Her gates will absolutely not be closed by day (and no night will exist there).
26 सभी राष्ट्रों का वैभव और आदर इसमें लाया जाएगा.
And they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into her.
27 कोई भी अशुद्ध वस्तु इस नगर में न तो प्रवेश हो सकेगी और न ही वह, जिसका स्वभाव लज्जास्पद और बातें झूठ से भरी है, इसमें प्रवेश वे ही कर पाएंगे, जिनके नाम मेमने की जीवन-पुस्तक में लिखे हैं.
But anything ‘common’ or anyone perpetrating an abomination or a lie will absolutely not enter her; only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
