1 तब मुझे एक सरकंडा दिया गया, जो मापने के यंत्र जैसा था तथा मुझसे कहा गया, “जाओ, परमेश्वर के मंदिर तथा वेदी का माप लो तथा वहां उपस्थित उपासकों की गिनती करो,
And there was given me a reed similar to a rod, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it.
2 किंतु मंदिर के बाहरी आंगन को छोड़ देना, उसे न मापना क्योंकि वह अन्य राष्ट्रों को सौंप दिया गया है. वे पवित्र नगर को बयालीस माह तक रौंदेंगे.
And leave out the court outside the temple, and do not measure it, because it has been given to the nations. And they will trample the holy city forty-two months.
3 मैं अपने दो गवाहों को, जिनका वस्त्र टाट का है, 1,260 दिन तक भविष्यवाणी करने की प्रदान करूंगा.”
And I will give to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days clothed in sackcloth.
4 ये दोनों गवाह ज़ैतून के दो पेड़ तथा दो दीवट हैं, जो पृथ्वी के प्रभु के सामने खड़े हैं.
These men are the two olive trees and the two lampstands, having stood before the Lord of the earth.
5 यदि कोई उन्हें हानि पहुंचाना चाहे तो उनके मुंह से आग निकलकर उनके शत्रुओं को चट कर जाती है. यदि कोई उन्हें हानि पहुंचाना चाहे तो उसका इसी रीति से विनाश होना तय है.
And if any man wants to harm them, fire comes out of their mouth and devours their enemies. And if any man wants to harm them, he must be killed this way.
6 इनमें आकाश को बंद कर देने का सामर्थ्य है कि उनके भविष्यवाणी के दिनों में वर्षा न हो. उनमें जल को लहू में बदल देने की तथा जब-जब वे चाहें, पृथ्वी पर महामारी का प्रहार करने की क्षमता है.
These men have authority to shut the sky, so that it may not rain the days of their prophecy. And they have authority over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they may desire.
7 जब वे अपनी गवाही दे चुकें होंगे तो वह हिंसक पशु, जो उस अथाह गड्ढे में से निकलेगा, उनसे युद्ध करेगा और उन्हें हरा कर उनका विनाश कर डालेगा. (Abyssos g12)
And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the abyss will make war with them, and he will overcome them and kill them. (Abyssos g12)
8 उनके शव उस महानगर के चौक में पड़े रहेंगे, जिसका सांकेतिक नाम है सोदोम तथा मिस्र, जहां उनके प्रभु को क्रूस पर भी चढ़ाया गया था.
And their corpses are in the thoroughfare of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
9 हर एक समुदाय, गोत्र, भाषा तथा राष्ट्र के लोग साढ़े तीन दिन तक उनके शवों को देखने के लिए आते रहेंगे और वे उन शवों को दफ़नाने की अनुमति न देंगे.
And out of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations they see their corpses three and a half days. And they will not allow their corpses to be put in a sepulcher.
10 पृथ्वी के निवासी उनकी मृत्यु पर आनंदित हो खुशी का उत्सव मनाएंगे—यहां तक कि वे एक दूसरे को उपहार भी देंगे क्योंकि इन दोनों भविष्यद्वक्ताओं ने पृथ्वी के निवासियों को अत्यधिक ताड़नाएं दी थी.
And those who dwell upon the earth rejoice over them, and will celebrate, and will give gifts to each other, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
11 साढ़े तीन दिन पूरे होने पर परमेश्वर की ओर से उनमें जीवन की सांस का प्रवेश हुआ और वे खड़े हो गए. यह देख उनके दर्शकों में भय समा गया.
And after the three and a half days a spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon those who watched them.
12 तब स्वर्ग से उन्हें संबोधित करता हुआ एक ऊंचा शब्द सुनाई दिया, “यहां ऊपर आओ!” और वे शत्रुओं के देखते-देखते बादलों में से स्वर्ग में उठा लिए गए.
And I heard a great voice from heaven saying to them, Come up here. And they ascended up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.
13 उसी समय एक भीषण भूकंप आया, जिससे नगर का एक दसवां भाग नाश हो गया. इस भूकंप में सात हज़ार व्यक्ति मर गए. शेष जीवित व्यक्तियों में भय समा गया और वे स्वर्ग के परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद-महिमा करने लगे.
And in that day a great earthquake occurred, and the tenth part of the city fell. And seven thousand names of men were killed in the earthquake. And the rest became afraid, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 दूसरी विपदा समाप्त हुई, तीसरी विपदा शीघ्र आ रही है.
The second woe departed. Behold, the third woe comes quickly.
15 जब सातवें स्वर्गदूत ने तुरही फूंकी तो स्वर्ग से ये तरह-तरह की आवाजें सुनाई देने लगीं: “संसार का राज्य अब हमारे प्रभु तथा उनके मसीह का राज्य हो गया है, वही युगानुयुग राज्य करेंगे.” (aiōn g165)
And the seventh agent sounded, and great voices occurred in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world has become of our Lord, and of his Christ, and he will reign into the ages of the ages. (aiōn g165)
16 तब उन चौबीसों पुरनियों ने, जो अपने-अपने सिंहासन पर बैठे थे, परमेश्वर के सामने दंडवत हो उनका धन्यवाद किया.
And the twenty-four elders who sit before the throne of God, on their thrones, fell upon their faces and worshiped God,
17 यह कहते हुए, “सर्वशक्तिमान प्रभु परमेश्वर! हम आपका, जो हैं और जो थे, आभार मानते हैं, कि आपने अपने अवर्णनीय अधिकारों को स्वीकार कर, अपने राज्य का आरंभ किया है.
saying, We thank thee, Lord God Almighty, who is and was, because thou have taken thy great power and reigned.
18 राष्ट्र क्रोधित हुए, उन पर आपका क्रोध आ पड़ा. अब समय आ गया है कि मरे हुओं का न्याय किया जाए, आपके दासों—भविष्यद्वक्ताओं, पवित्र लोगों तथा सभी श्रद्धालुओं को, चाहे वे साधारण हों या विशेष, और उनका प्रतिफल दिया जाए, तथा उनका नाश किया जाए जिन्होंने पृथ्वी को गंदा कर रखा है.”
And the nations were angry. And thy wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to thy bondmen the prophets, and to the sanctified, and to those who fear thy name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.
19 तब परमेश्वर का मंदिर, जो स्वर्ग में है, खोल दिया गया और उस मंदिर में उनकी वाचा का संदूक दिखाई दिया. उसी समय बिजली कौंधी, गड़गड़ाहट तथा बादलों का गरजना हुआ, एक भीषण भूकंप आया और बड़े-बड़े ओले पड़े.
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of the covenant of the Lord was seen in his temple. And there occurred lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and great hail.
