भजन संहिता 92
1 एक स्तोत्र. एक गीत. शब्बाथ दिन के लिए निर्धारित. भला है याहवेह के प्रति धन्यवाद, सर्वोच्च परमेश्वर, आपकी महिमा का गुणगान करना उपयुक्त है.
“A psalm or song for the sabbath day.” It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:
2 दस तारों के आसोर, नेबेल तथा किन्नोर की संगत पर प्रातःकाल ही आपके करुणा-प्रेम की उद्घोषणा करना तथा रात्रि में आपकी सच्चाई का वर्णन करना अच्छा है.
To tell in the morning of thy kindness, and of thy faithfulness in the nights.
Upon a ten-stringed instrument, and upon the psaltery; and with the sweet sound of the harp.
4 याहवेह, आपने मुझे अपने कार्यों के उल्लास से तृप्त कर दिया है; आपके कार्यों के लिए मैं हर्षोल्लास के गीत गाता हूं.
For thou hast caused me to rejoice, O Lord, through thy doing: because of the works of thy hands will I triumph.
5 याहवेह, कैसे अद्भुत हैं, आपके द्वारा निष्पन्न कार्य! गहन हैं आपके विचार!
How great are thy works, O Lord! exceedingly profound are thy thoughts.
6 अज्ञानी के लिए असंभव है इनका अनुभव करना, निर्बुद्धि के लिए ये बातें निरर्थक हैं.
A brutish man knoweth it not, and a fool cannot understand this.
7 यद्यपि दुष्ट घास के समान अंकुरित तो होते हैं और समस्त दुष्ट उन्नति भी करते हैं, किंतु उनकी नियति अनंत विनाश ही है.
When the wicked spring up like herbs, and when all the workers of wickedness do flourish; it is that they may be destroyed evermore.
8 किंतु, याहवेह, आप सदा-सर्वदा सर्वोच्च ही हैं.
But thou art exalted to eternity, O Lord!
9 निश्चयतः आपके शत्रु, याहवेह, आपके शत्रु नाश हो जाएंगे; समस्त दुष्ट बिखरा दिए जाएंगे.
For, lo, thy enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thy enemies shall perish: all the workers of wickedness shall be scattered.
10 किंतु मेरी शक्ति को आपने वन्य सांड़ समान ऊंचा कर दिया है; आपने मुझ पर नया नया तेल उंडेल दिया है.
But thou exaltest my horn like that of a reem: I am anointed with fresh oil.
11 स्वयं मैंने अपनी ही आंखों से अपने शत्रुओं का पतन देखा है; स्वयं मैंने अपने कानों से अपने दुष्ट शत्रुओं के कोलाहल को सुना है.
And my eye looketh on [the punishment of] those that regard me with envy: of the evildoers that rise up against me my ears shall bear it.
12 धर्मी खजूर वृक्ष समान फलते जाएंगे, उनका विकास लबानोन के देवदार के समान होगा;
The righteous shall spring up like the palm-tree: like a cedar in Lebanon shall he grow high.
13 याहवेह के आवास में लगाए वे परमेश्वर के आंगन में समृद्ध होते जाएंगे!
Planted in the house of the Lord, in the courts of our God shall they spring up.
14 वृद्धावस्था में भी वे फलदार बने रहेंगे, उनकी नवीनता और उनकी कान्ति वैसी ही बनी रहेगी,
They shall still flourish in high old age; they shall be vigorous and covered with foliage;
15 कि वे यह घोषणा कर सकें कि, “याहवेह सीधे हैं; वह मेरे लिए चट्टान हैं, उनमें कहीं भी, किसी भी दुष्टता की छाया तक नहीं है.”
To declare that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no faultiness in him.
