भजन संहिता 9

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. मूथलब्बेन धुन पर आधारित. दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. याहवेह, मैं संपूर्ण हृदय से आपका आभार मानूंगा; मैं आपके हर एक आश्चर्य कर्मों का वर्णन करूंगा.

Yahweh, I will praise you with all of my inner being. I will tell [others] about all the wonderful things that you have done.

2 मैं आप में उल्‍लसित होकर आनंद मनाता हूं; सर्वोच्च प्रभु, मैं आपका भजन गाता हूं.

I will sing to celebrate what you [MTY], who are much greater than all other gods, [have done].

3 जब मेरे शत्रु पीठ दिखाकर भागे; वे आपकी उपस्थिति के कारण नाश होकर लड़खड़ा कर गिर पड़े.

When my enemies realize [that you are very powerful], they stumble, and then they are killed.

4 आपने न्याय किया और मेरे पक्ष में निर्णय दिया, आपने अपने सिंहासन पर बैठ सच्चाई में न्याय किया.

You sat on your throne to judge people, and you have judged fairly/justly concerning me.

5 आपने जनताओं को डांटा और दुष्टों को नष्ट कर दिया; आपने सदा के लिए उनका नाम मिटा दिया.

You rebuked the [people of other] nations and you have gotten rid of the wicked people; you have erased their names forever.

6 कोई भी शत्रु शेष न रहा, उनके नगर अब स्थायी विध्वंस मात्र रह गए हैं; शत्रु का नाम भी शेष न रहा.

Our enemies have disappeared; you destroyed their cities, and people do not even remember them any more.

7 परंतु याहवेह सदैव सिंहासन पर विराजमान हैं; उन्होंने अपना सिंहासन न्याय के लिए स्थापित किया है.

But Yahweh rules forever. He judges [people while he sits] on his throne to judge people,

8 वह संसार का न्याय तथा राष्ट्रों का निर्णय धार्मिकता से करते हैं.

and he will judge [all the people in] [SYN] the world justly; he will judge the people [of all nations] fairly [DOU].

9 याहवेह ही दुःखित को शरण देते हैं, संकट के समय वही ऊंचा गढ़ हैं.

Yahweh will be a refuge for those who are oppressed; [yes, he will be like] a shelter for them when they have trouble.

10 जिन्होंने आपकी महिमा को पहचान लिया है, वे आप पर भरोसा करेंगे, याहवेह, जिन्होंने आपसे प्रार्थना की, आपने उन्हें निराश न होने दिया.

Those who know Yahweh [MTY] trust in him; he never abandons those who come to him ([for help/to worship him]).

11 याहवेह का गुणगान करो, जो ज़ियोन में सिंहासन पर विराजमान हैं; राष्ट्रों में उनके आश्चर्य कार्यों की उद्घोषणा करो.

Yahweh rules from Zion [Hill]; praise him while you sing to him. Tell [the people of all] the nations the [marvelous] things that he has done.

12 वह, जो पीड़ितों के बदला लेनेवाले हैं, उन्हें स्मरण रखते हैं; दीनों की वाणी को वह अनसुनी नहीं करते.

He does not forget [to punish] those who have murdered others; and he will not ignore people who are crying because they are suffering.

13 हे याहवेह, मुझ पर कृपादृष्टि कीजिए! मेरी पीड़ा पर दृष्टि कीजिए. आप ही हैं, जो मुझे मृत्यु-द्वार के निकट से झपटकर उठा सकते हैं,

Yahweh, be merciful to me! Look at the ways that my enemies have injured me. Do not allow me to die [because of these injuries].

14 कि मैं ज़ियोन की पुत्री के द्वारों के भीतर आपके हर एक गुण का वर्णन करूं, कि मैं आपके द्वारा किए उद्धार में उल्‍लसित होऊं.

I want to live in order that I can praise you at the gates of Jerusalem [MTY] and to rejoice because you rescued me.

15 अन्य जनता उसी गड्ढे में जा गिरे, जिसे स्वयं उन्हीं ने खोदा था; उनके पैर उसी जाल में जा फंसे, जिसे उन्होंने बिछाया था.

[It is as though] the [wicked people of many] nations have dug a pit for me to fall into [MET], but they have fallen into that same pit. [It is as if] they spread out a net to catch me [MET], but their feet have been caught in that same net.

16 याहवेह ने स्वयं को प्रकट किया, उन्होंने न्याय सम्पन्‍न किया; दुष्ट अपने ही फंदे में उलझ कर रह गए.

Because of what you have done, people know that you decide matters [fairly/justly], but [you allow] wicked people to be trapped by the same evil things that they themselves do.

17 दुष्ट अधोलोक में लौट जाएंगे, यही नियति है उन सभी राष्ट्रों की भी, जिन्होंने परमेश्वर की उपेक्षा की है. (Sheol h7585)

Wicked people will all [die and] be buried in their graves, and [their spirits] will go to be with all those who have (forgotten about/rejected) you. (Sheol h7585)

18 दीन दरिद्र सदा भुला नहीं दिए जाएंगे; पीड़ितों की आशा सदा के लिए चूर नहीं होगी.

But you will not forget those who are needy/poor; what they confidently expect will certainly happen.

19 याहवेह, आप उठ जाएं, कि कोई मनुष्य प्रबल न हो जाए; जनताओं का न्याय आपके सामने हो.

Yahweh, arise and judge the [wicked] people of the nations; do not allow them to think that [because they are strong] they will never be punished.

20 याहवेह, आप उन्हें भयभीत कर दें; जनताओं को यह बोध हो जाए कि वे मात्र मनुष्य हैं.

Yahweh, teach them to be terrified about you. Cause them to know that they are merely human beings.
