भजन संहिता 89

1 एज़्रावंश के एथन का एक मसकील मैं याहवेह के करुणा-प्रेम का सदा गुणगान करूंगा; मैं पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी अपने मुख से आपकी सच्चाई को बताता रहूंगा.

An instruction, by Ethan the Ezrahite. Of the kind acts of Jehovah, to the age I sing, To all generations I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth,

2 मेरी उद्घोषणा होगी कि आपका करुणा-प्रेम सदा-सर्वदा अटल होगी, स्वर्ग में आप अपनी सच्चाई को स्थिर करेंगे.

For I said, 'To the age is kindness built, The heavens! Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness in them.'

3 आपने कहा, “मैंने अपने चुने हुए के साथ एक वाचा स्थापित की है, मैंने अपने सेवक दावीद से यह शपथ खाई है,

I have made a covenant for My chosen, I have sworn to David My servant:

4 ‘मैं तुम्हारे वंश को युगानुयुग अटल रखूंगा. मैं तुम्हारे सिंहासन को पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी स्थिर बनाए रखूंगा.’”

'Even to the age do I establish thy seed, And have built to generation and generation thy throne. (Selah)

5 याहवेह, स्वर्ग मंडल आपके अद्भुत कार्यों का गुणगान करता है. भक्तों की सभा में आपकी सच्चाई की स्तुति की जाती है.

and the heavens confess Thy wonders, O Jehovah, Thy faithfulness also [is] in an assembly of holy ones.

6 स्वर्ग में कौन याहवेह के तुल्य हो सकता है? स्वर्गदूतों में कौन याहवेह के समान है?

For who in the sky, Compareth himself to Jehovah? Is like to Jehovah among sons of the mighty?

7 जब सात्विक एकत्र होते हैं, वहां परमेश्वर के प्रति गहन श्रद्धा व्याप्‍त होता है; सभी के मध्य वही सबसे अधिक श्रद्धा योग्य हैं.

God is very terrible, In the secret counsel of His holy ones, And fearful over all surrounding Him.

8 याहवेह, सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, कौन है आपके समान सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह? आप सच्चाई को धारण किए हुए हैं.

O Jehovah, God of Hosts, Who [is] like Thee — a strong Jah? And Thy faithfulness [is] round about Thee.

9 उमड़ता सागर आपके नियंत्रण में है; जब इसकी लहरें उग्र होने लगती हैं, आप उन्हें शांत कर देते हैं.

Thou [art] ruler over the pride of the sea, In the lifting up of its billows Thou dost restrain them.

10 आपने ही विकराल जल जंतु रहब को ऐसे कुचल डाला मानो वह एक खोखला शव हो; यह आपका ही भुजबल था, कि आपने अपने शत्रुओं को पछाड़ दिया.

Thou hast bruised Rahab, as one wounded. With the arm of Thy strength Thou hast scattered Thine enemies.

11 स्वर्ग के स्वामी आप हैं तथा पृथ्वी भी आपकी ही है; आपने ही संसार संस्थापित किया और वह सब भी बनाया जो, संसार में है.

Thine [are] the heavens — the earth also [is] Thine, The habitable world and its fulness, Thou hast founded them.

12 उत्तर दिशा आपकी रचना है और दक्षिण दिशा भी; आपकी महिमा में ताबोर और हरमोन पर्वत उल्लास में गाने लगते हैं.

North and south Thou hast appointed them, Tabor and Hermon in Thy name do sing.

13 सामर्थ्य आपकी भुजा में व्याप्‍त है; बलवंत है आपका हाथ तथा प्रबल है आपका दायां हाथ.

Thou hast an arm with might, Strong is Thy hand — high Thy right hand.

14 धार्मिकता तथा खराई आपके सिंहासन के आधार हैं; करुणा-प्रेम तथा सच्चाई आपके आगे-आगे चलते हैं.

Righteousness and judgment [Are] the fixed place of Thy throne, Kindness and truth go before Thy face.

15 याहवेह, धन्य होते हैं वे, जिन्होंने आपका जयघोष करना सीख लिया है, जो आपकी उपस्थिति की ज्योति में आचरण करते हैं.

O the happiness of the people knowing the shout, O Jehovah, in the light of Thy face they walk habitually.

16 आपके नाम पर वे दिन भर खुशी मनाते हैं वे आपकी धार्मिकता का उत्सव मनाते हैं.

In Thy name they rejoice all the day, And in Thy righteousness they are exalted,

17 क्योंकि आप ही उनके गौरव तथा बल हैं, आपकी ही कृपादृष्टि के द्वारा हमारा बल आधारित रहता है.

For the beauty of their strength [art] Thou, And in Thy good will is our horn exalted,

18 वस्तुतः याहवेह ही हमारी सुरक्षा ढाल हैं, हमारे राजा इस्राएल के पवित्र परमेश्वर के ही हैं.

For of Jehovah [is] our shield, And of the Holy One of Israel our king.

19 वर्षों पूर्व आपने दर्शन में अपने सच्चे लोगों से वार्तालाप किया था: “एक योद्धा को मैंने शक्ति-सम्पन्‍न किया है; अपनी प्रजा में से मैंने एक युवक को खड़ा किया है.

Then Thou hast spoken in vision, To Thy saint, yea, Thou sayest, I have placed help upon a mighty one, Exalted a chosen one out of the people,

20 मुझे मेरा सेवक, दावीद, मिल गया है; अपने पवित्र तेल से मैंने उसका अभिषेक किया है.

I have found David My servant, With My holy oil I have anointed him.

21 मेरा ही हाथ उसे स्थिर रखेगा; निश्चयतः मेरी भुजा उसे सशक्त करती जाएगी.

With whom My hand is established, My arm also doth strengthen him.

22 कोई भी शत्रु उसे पराजित न करेगा; कोई भी दुष्ट उसे दुःखित न करेगा.

An enemy exacteth not upon him, And a son of perverseness afflicteth him not.

23 उसके देखते-देखते मैं उसके शत्रुओं को नष्ट कर दूंगा और उसके विरोधियों को नष्ट कर डालूंगा.

And I have beaten down before him his adversaries, And those hating him I plague,

24 मेरी सच्चाई तथा मेरा करुणा-प्रेम उस पर बना रहेगा, मेरी महिमा उसकी कीर्ति को ऊंचा रखेगी.

And My faithfulness and kindness [are] with him, And in My name is his horn exalted.

25 मैं उसे समुद्र पर अधिकार दूंगा, उसका दायां हाथ नदियों पर शासन करेगा.

And I have set on the sea his hand, And on the rivers his right hand.

26 वह मुझे संबोधित करेगा, ‘आप मेरे पिता हैं, मेरे परमेश्वर, मेरे उद्धार की चट्टान.’

He proclaimeth me: 'Thou [art] my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.'

27 मैं उसे अपने प्रथमजात का पद भी प्रदान करूंगा, उसका पद पृथ्वी के समस्त राजाओं से उच्च होगा—सर्वोच्च.

I also first-born do appoint him, Highest of the kings of the earth.

28 उसके प्रति मैं अपना करुणा-प्रेम सदा-सर्वदा बनाए रखूंगा, उसके साथ स्थापित की गई मेरी वाचा कभी भंग न होगी.

To the age I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant [is] stedfast with him.

29 मैं उसके वंश को सदैव सुस्थापित रखूंगा, जब तक आकाश का अस्तित्व रहेगा, उसका सिंहासन भी स्थिर बना रहेगा.

And I have set his seed for ever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.

30 “यदि उसकी संतान मेरी व्यवस्था का परित्याग कर देती है तथा मेरे अधिनियमों के अनुसार नहीं चलती,

If his sons forsake My law, And in My judgments do not walk;

31 यदि वे मेरी विधियों को भंग करते हैं तथा मेरे आदेशों का पालन करने से चूक जाते हैं,

If My statutes they pollute, And My commands do not keep,

32 तो मैं उनके अपराध का दंड उन्हें लाठी के प्रहार से तथा उनके अपराधों का दंड कोड़ों के प्रहार से दूंगा;

I have looked after with a rod their transgression, And with strokes their iniquity,

33 किंतु मैं अपना करुणा-प्रेम उसके प्रति कभी कम न होने दूंगा और न मैं अपनी सच्चाई का घात करूंगा.

And My kindness I break not from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness.

34 मैं अपनी वाचा भंग नहीं करूंगा और न अपने शब्द परिवर्तित करूंगा.

I profane not My covenant, And that which is going forth from My lips I change not.

35 एक ही बार मैंने सदा-सर्वदा के लिए अपनी पवित्रता की शपथ खाई है, मैं दावीद से झूठ नहीं बोलूंगा;

Once I have sworn by My holiness, I lie not to David,

36 उसका वंश सदा-सर्वदा अटल बना रहेगा और उसका सिंहासन मेरे सामने सूर्य के समान सदा-सर्वदा ठहरे रहेगा;

His seed is to the age, And his throne [is] as the sun before Me,

37 यह आकाश में विश्वासयोग्य साक्ष्य होकर, चंद्रमा के समान सदा-सर्वदा ठहरे रहेगा.”

As the moon it is established — to the age, And the witness in the sky is stedfast. (Selah)

38 किंतु आप अपने अभिषिक्त से अत्यंत उदास हो गए, आपने उसकी उपेक्षा की, आपने उसका परित्याग कर दिया.

And Thou, Thou hast cast off, and dost reject, Thou hast shown Thyself wroth With Thine anointed,

39 आपने अपने सेवक से की गई वाचा की उपेक्षा की है; आपने उसके मुकुट को धूल में फेंक दूषित कर दिया.

Hast rejected the covenant of Thy servant, Thou hast polluted to the earth his crown,

40 आपने उसकी समस्त दीवारें तोड़ उन्हें ध्वस्त कर दिया और उसके समस्त रचों को खंडहर बना दिया.

Thou hast broken down all his hedges, Thou hast made his fenced places a ruin.

41 आते जाते समस्त लोग उसे लूटते चले गए; वह पड़ोसियों के लिए घृणा का पात्र होकर रह गया है.

Spoiled him have all passing by the way, He hath been a reproach to his neighbours,

42 आपने उसके शत्रुओं का दायां हाथ सशक्त कर दिया; आपने उसके समस्त शत्रुओं को आनंद विभोर कर दिया.

Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries, Thou hast caused all his enemies to rejoice.

43 उसकी तलवार की धार आपने समाप्‍त कर दी और युद्ध में आपने उसकी कोई सहायता नहीं की.

Also — Thou turnest back the sharpness of his sword, And hast not established him in battle,

44 आपने उसके वैभव को समाप्‍त कर दिया और उसके सिंहासन को धूल में मिला दिया.

Hast caused [him] to cease from his brightness, And his throne to the earth hast cast down.

45 आपने उसकी युवावस्था के दिन घटा दिए हैं; आपने उसे लज्जा के वस्त्रों से ढांक दिया है.

Thou hast shortened the days of his youth, Hast covered him over [with] shame. (Selah)

46 और कब तक, याहवेह? क्या आपने स्वयं को सदा के लिए छिपा लिया है? कब तक आपका कोप अग्नि-सा दहकता रहेगा?

Till when, O Jehovah, art Thou hidden? For ever doth Thy fury burn as fire?

47 मेरे जीवन की क्षणभंगुरता का स्मरण कीजिए, किस व्यर्थता के लिए आपने समस्त मनुष्यों की रचना की!

Remember, I pray Thee, what [is] life-time? Wherefore in vain hast Thou created All the sons of men?

48 ऐसा कौन सा मनुष्य है जो सदा जीवित रहे, और मृत्यु को न देखे? ऐसा कौन है, अपने प्राणों को अधोलोक के अधिकार से मुक्त कर सकता है? (Sheol h7585)

Who [is] the man that liveth, and doth not see death? He delivereth his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

49 प्रभु, अब आपका वह करुणा-प्रेम कहां गया, जिसकी शपथ आपने अपनी सच्चाई में दावीद से ली थी?

Where [are] Thy former kindnesses, O Lord. Thou hast sworn to David in Thy faithfulness,

50 प्रभु, स्मरण कीजिए, कितना अपमान हुआ है आपके सेवक का, कैसे मैं समस्त राष्ट्रों द्वारा किए गए अपमान अपने हृदय में लिए हुए जी रहा हूं.

Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Thy servants, I have borne in my bosom all the strivings of the peoples,

51 याहवेह, ये सभी अपमान, जो मेरे शत्रु मुझ पर करते रहे, इनका प्रहार आपके अभिषिक्त के हर एक कदम पर किया गया.

Wherewith Thine enemies reproached, O Jehovah, Wherewith they have reproached The steps of Thine anointed.

52 याहवेह का स्तवन सदा-सर्वदा होता रहे!

Blessed [is] Jehovah to the age. Amen, and amen!
