भजन संहिता 85
1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. कोराह के पुत्रों की रचना. एक स्तोत्र. याहवेह, आपने अपने देश पर कृपादृष्टि की है; आपने याकोब की समृद्धि को पुनःस्थापित किया है.
Adonai, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob [Supplanter].
2 आपने अपनी प्रजा के अपराध क्षमा कर दिए हैं तथा उनके सभी पापों को ढांप दिया है.
You have forgiven the depravity (moral evil) of your people. You have covered all their habitual sin ·missing the mark·. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
3 आपने अपना संपूर्ण कोप शांत कर दिया तथा आप अपने घोर रोष से दूर हो गए हैं.
You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger.
4 परमेश्वर, हमारे उद्धारकर्ता, हमारी समृद्धि पुनःस्थापित कर दीजिए, हमारे विरुद्ध अपने कोप को मिटा दीजिए.
Turn us, God of our yesha' ·salvation·, and cause your indignation toward us to cease.
5 क्या हमारे प्रति आपका क्रोध सदैव स्थायी रहेगा? क्या आप अपने क्रोध को सभी पीढ़ियों तक बनाए रखेंगे?
Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?
6 क्या आप हमें पुनः जिलाएंगे नहीं, कि आपकी प्रजा आप में प्रफुल्लित हो सके?
Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?
7 याहवेह, हम पर अपना करुणा-प्रेम प्रदर्शित कीजिए, और हमें अपना उद्धार प्रदान कीजिए.
Show us your chesed ·loving-kindness·, Adonai. Grant us your yesha' ·salvation·.
8 जो कुछ याहवेह परमेश्वर कहेंगे, वह मैं सुनूंगा; उन्होंने अपनी प्रजा, अपने भक्तों के निमित्त शांति की प्रतिज्ञा की है. किंतु उपयुक्त यह होगा कि वे पुनः मूर्खता न करें.
I will sh'ma ·hear obey· what God, Adonai, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly.
9 इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि उनकी ओर से उद्धार उन्हीं के लिए निर्धारित है, जो उनके श्रद्धालु हैं, कि हमारे देश में उनका तेज भर जाए.
Surely his yesha' ·salvation· is near those who fear him, that kavod ·weighty glory· may dwell in our land.
10 करुणा-प्रेम तथा सच्चाई आपस में मिल गई हैं; धार्मिकता तथा शांति ने एक दूसरे का चुंबन ले लिया.
Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
11 पृथ्वी से सच्चाई उगती रही है, धार्मिकता स्वर्ग से यह देख रही है.
Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven.
12 इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि याहवेह वही प्रदान करेंगे, जो उत्तम है, और धरती अपनी उपज देगी.
Yes, Adonai will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase.
13 धार्मिकता आगे-आगे चलेगी और वही हमारे कदम के लिए मार्ग तैयार करती है.
Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.
