1 एक गीत. आसफ का एक स्तोत्र. परमेश्वर, शांत न रहिए; न हमारी उपेक्षा कीजिए, और न निष्क्रिय बैठिए, परमेश्वर,
A song, [or] Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2 देखिए, आपके शत्रुओं में कैसी हलचल हो रही है, कैसे वे सिर उठा रहे हैं.
For lo, thy enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 वे आपकी प्रजा के विरुद्ध चतुराई से बुरी युक्ति रच रहे हैं; वे आपके प्रियों के विरुद्ध परस्पर सम्मति कर रहे हैं.
They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 वे कहते हैं, “आओ, हम इस संपूर्ण राष्ट्र को ही नष्ट कर दें, यहां तक कि इस्राएल राष्ट्र का नाम ही शेष न रहे.”
They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 वे एकजुट होकर, एकचित्त युक्ति रच रहे हैं; वे सब आपके विरुद्ध संगठित हो गए हैं—
For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee,
6 एदोम तथा इशमाएलियों के मंडप, मोआब और हग्रियों के वंशज,
The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 गेबल, अम्मोन तथा अमालेक, फिलिस्ती तथा सोर के निवासी.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 यहां तक कि अश्शूरी भी उनके साथ सम्मिलित हो गए हैं कि लोत के वंशजों की सेना को सशक्त बनाएं.
Assur also is joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. (Selah)
9 उनके साथ आप वही कीजिए, जो आपने मिदियान के साथ किया था, जो आपने सीसरा के साथ किया था, जो आपने कीशोन नदी पर याबीन के साथ किया था,
Do to them as [to] the Midianites; as [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
10 जिनका विनाश एन-दोर में हुआ, जो भूमि पर पड़े गोबर जैसे हो गए थे.
[Who] perished at En-dor: they became [as] dung for the earth.
11 उनके रईसों को ओरेब तथा ज़ेब समान, तथा उनके न्यायियों को ज़ेबह तथा ज़लमुन्‍ना समान बना दीजिए,
Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yes, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
12 जिन्होंने कहा था, “चलो, हम परमेश्वर की चराइयों के अधिकारी बन जाए.”
Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
13 मेरे परमेश्वर उन्हें बवंडर में उड़ती धूल समान, पवन में उड़ते भूसे समान बना दीजिए.
O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
14 जैसे अग्नि वन को निगल जाती है अथवा जैसे चिंगारी पर्वत को ज्वालामय कर देती है,
As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
15 उसी प्रकार अपनी आंधी से उनका पीछा कीजिए तथा अपने तूफान से उन्हें घबरा दीजिए.
So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
16 वे लज्जा में डूब जाएं, कि याहवेह, लोग आपकी महिमा की खोज करने लगें.
Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
17 वे सदा के लिए लज्जित तथा भयभीत हो जाएं; अपमान में ही उनकी मृत्यु हो.
Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yes, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18 वे यह जान लें कि आप, जिनका नाम याहवेह है, मात्र आप ही समस्त पृथ्वी पर सर्वोच्च हैं.
That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.
