1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. “वाचा की कुमुदिनी” धुन पर आधारित. आसफ की रचना. एक स्तोत्र. इस्राएल के चरवाहे, हमारी सुनिए, आप ही हैं, जो योसेफ़ की अगुवाई भेड़ों के वृन्द की रीति से करते हैं. आप, जो करूबों के मध्य विराजमान हैं, प्रकाशमान हों!
Hear us, Ro'i [Shepherd Provider] of Israel [God prevails], you who lead Joseph [May he add] like a flock, you who sit above the cherubim, shine out.
2 एफ्राईम, बिन्यामिन तथा मनश्शेह के सामने अपने सामर्थ्य को प्रगट कीजिए; और हमारी रक्षा कीजिए.
Before Ephraim [Fruit] and Benjamin [Son of right hand, Son of south] and Manasseh [Causing to forget], stir up your might! Come to bring yishu'ah ·salvation· for us!
3 परमेश्वर, हमें हमारी पूर्व स्थिति प्रदान कीजिए; हम पर अपना मुख प्रकाशित कीजिए, कि हमारा उद्धार हो जाए.
Turn us again, God. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
4 याहवेह, सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, कब तक आपकी प्रजा की प्रार्थनाओं के प्रति, आपका कोप भीतर ही भीतर सुलगता रहेगा?
Adonai Elohei Tzva'ot [Yahweh God Commander of heaven’s armies], How long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?
5 आपने आंसुओं को उनका आहार बना छोड़ा है; आपने उन्हें विवश कर दिया है, कि वे कटोरे भर-भर आंसू पिएं.
You have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
6 आपने हमें अपने पड़ोसियों के लिए विवाद का कारण बना दिया है, हमारे शत्रु हमारा उपहास करते हैं.
You make us a source of contention to our neighbors. Our enemies laugh among themselves.
7 सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, हमें हमारी पूर्व स्थिति प्रदान कर दीजिए; हम पर अपना मुख प्रकाशित कीजिए, कि हमारा उद्धार हो जाए.
Turn us again, Elohim Tzva'ot [God Commander of heaven’s armies]. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
8 मिस्र देश से आप एक द्राक्षालता ले आए; आपने जनताओं को काटकर इसे वहां रोप दिया.
You brought a vine out of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. You divorced and drove out the nations, and planted it.
9 आपने इसके लिए भूमि तैयार की, इस लता ने जड़ पकड़ी और इसने समस्त भूमि आच्छादित कर दी.
You cleared the ground for it. It took deep root, and filled the land.
10 इसकी छाया ने तथा मजबूत देवदार की शाखाओं ने, पर्वतों को ढंक लिया था.
The mountains were covered with its shadow. Its boughs were like God’s cedars.
11 वह अपनी शाखाएं समुद्र तक, तथा किशलय नदी तक फैली हुई थी.
It sent out its branches to the sea, Its shoots to the River.
12 आपने इसकी सुरक्षा की दीवारें क्यों ढाह दीं, कि आते जाते लोग इसके द्राक्षा तोड़ते जाएं?
Why have you broken down its walls, so that all those who pass by the way pluck it?
13 जंगली सूअर इसे निगल जाते, तथा मैदान के पशु इसे अपना आहार बनाते हैं.
The boar out of the wood ravages it. The wild animals of the field feed on it.
14 सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, हम आग्रह करते हैं, आप लौट आइए! स्वर्ग से दृष्टिपात कीजिए! और इस ओर ध्यान दीजिए,
Turn again, we beg you, Elohim Tzva'ot [God Commander of heaven’s armies]. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,
15 और इस द्राक्षालता की हां उस पौधे की जिसे आपके दायें हाथ ने लगाया है, तथा उस पुत्र को देखिए, जिसे आपने स्वयं सशक्त बनाया है.
the stock which your right hand planted, the branch that you made strong for yourself.
16 आपकी इस द्राक्षालता को काट डाला गया है, इसे अग्नि में भस्म कर दिया गया है; आपकी फटकार-मात्र आपकी प्रजा को नष्ट करने के लिए काफ़ी है.
It’s burned with fire. It’s cut down. They perish at your rebuke.
17 उस पुरुष पर आपके दायें हाथ का आश्वासन स्थिर रहे, जो आपके दायें पक्ष में उपस्थित है, वह मनुष्य का पुत्र जिसे आपने अपने लिए तैयार किया है.
Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.
18 तब हम आपसे दूर न होंगे; हमें जिलाइए, हम आपके ही नाम को पुकारेंगे.
So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name.
19 याहवेह, सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, हमें पुनर्स्थापित कीजिए; अपना मुख हम पर प्रकाशित कीजिए कि हम सुरक्षित रहेंगे.
Turn us again, Adonai Elohei Tzva'ot [Yahweh God Commander of heaven’s armies]. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
