भजन संहिता 76

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. तार वाद्यों की संगत के साथ. आसफ का एक स्तोत्र. एक गीत. यहूदिया प्रदेश में लोग परमेश्वर को जानते हैं; इस्राएल देश में उनका नाम बसा है.

“To the chief musician on Neginoth, a psalm or song of Assaph.” In Judah hath God been made known: in Israel is his name great.

2 शालेम नगर में उनका आवास है, और उनका मुख्यालय ज़ियोन नगर में.

And in Salem was his tabernacle made, and his dwelling-place in Zion.

3 यह वह स्थान है, जहां उन्होंने आग्नेय बाणों को, ढाल और तलवारों को तोड़ डाला.

There broke he the shining arrows of the bow, shield, and sword, and battle. (Selah)

4 आप अत्युज्जवल ज्योति से उज्जवल हैं, प्राकृतिक संपदा से परिपूर्ण पर्वतों से कहीं अधिक भव्य.

Thou art more brilliant, more excellent than the mountains [full] of prey.

5 शूरवीरों से सब कुछ छीन लिया गया, वे चिर-निद्रा में समा गए; एक भी योद्धा में इतना सामर्थ्य शेष न रहा कि इसे रोक पाए.

Bereft of reason are the stouthearted, they slumber their sleep: and none of the men of might have found [the use of] their hands.

6 याकोब के परमेश्वर, ऐसी प्रचंड थी आपकी फटकार, कि अश्व और रथ दोनों ही नष्ट हो गए.

From thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, lie in deep sleep both chariot and horse.

7 मात्र आप ही इस योग्य हैं कि आपके प्रति श्रद्धा रखा जाए. जब आप उदास होते हैं तब किसमें आपके सामने ठहरने की क्षमता होती है?

Thou—thou art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thy anger [is kindled]?

8 जब स्वर्ग से आपने अपने निर्णय प्रसारित किए, तो पृथ्वी भयभीत होकर चुप हो गई.

From heaven hast thou caused [thy] sentence to be heard: the earth feared, and became still,

9 परमेश्वर, आप उस समय न्याय के लिए सामर्थ्यी हुए, कि पृथ्वी के पीड़ित लोगों को छुड़ा लिया जाए.

When God rose to judgment, to save all the lowly of the earth. (Selah)

10 निःसंदेह दुष्टों के प्रति आपका रोष आपके प्रति प्रशंसा प्रेरित करता है, तब वे, जो आपके रोष के बाद शेष रह गए थे, आप उन्हें नियंत्रित एवं धर्ममय करेंगे.

For the fury of man shall praise thee: the remainder of the fury wilt thou gird about thee.

11 जब तुम मन्नत मानो, तो परमेश्वर, अपने याहवेह के लिए पूर्ण करो; सभी निकटवर्ती राष्ट्र उन्हें भेंट अर्पित करें, जो श्रद्धा-भय के अधिकारी हैं.

Make vows, and pay [them] unto the Lord your God, all ye that are round about him: let men bring presents unto him that exciteth fear.

12 वह शासकों का मनोबल तोड़ देते हैं; समस्त पृथ्वी के राजाओं के लिए वह आतंक हैं.

He will cut down the spirit of the powerful: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
