भजन संहिता 75

1 संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. “अलतशख़ेथ” धुन पर आधारित. आसफ का एक स्तोत्र. एक गीत. हे परमेश्वर, हम आपकी स्तुति करते हैं, हम आपकी स्तुति करते हैं क्योंकि आपका नाम हमारे निकट है; लोग आपके महाकार्य का वर्णन कर रहे हैं.

We give thanks to you; our God, we thank you. You are close to us, and we proclaim to others the wonderful things that you have done [for us].

2 आपका कथन है, “उपयुक्त समय का निर्धारण मैं करता हूं; निष्पक्ष न्याय भी मेरा ही होता है.

[You have said], “I have appointed a time when I will judge people, and I will judge [everyone] fairly.

3 जब भूकंप होता है और पृथ्वी के निवासी भयभीत हो कांप उठते हैं, तब मैं ही हूं, जो पृथ्वी के स्तंभों को दृढतापूर्वक थामे रखता हूं.

When the earth shakes and all the creatures on the earth tremble, I am the one who will (keep its foundations steady/prevent it from being destroyed).

4 अहंकारी से मैंने कहा, ‘घमंड न करो,’ और दुष्ट से, ‘अपने सींग ऊंचे न करो,

I say to people who (boast/talk proudly about themselves), ‘Stop bragging!’ and I say to wicked people, ‘Do not proudly [do things to] show how great you are [IDM]!

5 स्वर्ग की ओर सींग उठाने का साहस न करना; अपना सिर ऊंचा कर बातें न करना.’”

Do not be arrogant, and do not speak so boastfully!’”

6 न तो पूर्व से, न पश्चिम से और न ही दक्षिण के वन से, कोई किसी मनुष्य को ऊंचा कर सकता है.

The one who judges people does not come from the east or from the west, and he does not come from the desert.

7 मात्र परमेश्वर ही न्याय करते हैं: वह किसी को ऊंचा करते हैं और किसी को नीचा.

God is the one who judges people; he says that some have sinned and must be punished, and that others have not done what is wrong.

8 याहवेह के हाथों में एक कटोरा है, उसमें मसालों से मिली उफनती दाखमधु है; वह इसे उण्डेलते हैं और पृथ्वी के समस्त दुष्ट तलछट तक इसका पान करते हैं.

[It is as though] Yahweh holds a cup in his hand; it is filled with wine that [has spices] mixed in it [to cause those who drink it to become more drunk]; and when Yahweh pours it out, he will force all the wicked people to drink it; they will drink every drop of it, [which means that he will give them all the punishment that they deserve].

9 मेरी ओर से सर्वदा यही घोषणा होगी; मैं याकोब के परमेश्वर का गुणगान करूंगा;

But [as for me], I will never stop saying what the God whom Jacob [worshiped has done]; I will never quit singing to praise him.

10 आप का, जो कहते हैं, “मैं समस्त दुष्टों के सींग काट डालूंगा, किंतु धर्मियों के सींग ऊंचे किए जाएंगे.”

He will destroy the power [IDM] of wicked people, but he will cause righteous people to become more powerful.
