भजन संहिता 74
1 आसफ का मसकील. परमेश्वर! आपने क्यों हमें सदा के लिए शोकित छोड़ दिया है? आपकी चराई की भेड़ों के प्रति आपके क्रोध की अग्नि का धुआं क्यों उठ रहा है?
A Psalme to give instruction, committed to Asaph. O God, why hast thou put vs away for euer? why is thy wrath kindled against the sheepe of thy pasture?
2 स्मरण कीजिए उन लोगों को, जिन्हें आपने मोल लिया था, उस कुल को, आपने अपना भागी बनाने के लिए जिसका उद्धार किया था; स्मरण कीजिए ज़ियोन पर्वत को, जो आपका आवास है.
Thinke vpon thy Congregation, which thou hast possessed of olde, and on the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed, and on this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
3 इन चिरस्थाई विध्वंस अवशेषों के मध्य चलते फिरते रहिए, पवित्र स्थान में शत्रु ने सभी कुछ नष्ट कर दिया है.
Lift vp thy strokes, that thou mayest for euer destroy euery enemie that doeth euill to the Sanctuarie.
4 एक समय जहां आप हमसे भेंटकरते थे, वहां शत्रु के जयघोष के नारे गूंज रहे हैं; उन्होंने वहां प्रमाण स्वरूप अपने ध्वज गाड़ दिए हैं.
Thine aduersaries roare in the middes of thy Congregation, and set vp their banners for signes.
5 उनका व्यवहार वृक्षों और झाड़ियों पर कुल्हाड़ी चलाते हुए आगे बढ़ते पुरुषों के समान होता है.
He that lifted the axes vpon the thicke trees, was renowmed, as one, that brought a thing to perfection:
6 उन्होंने कुल्हाड़ियों और हथौड़ों से द्वारों के उकेरे गए नक़्कशीदार कामों को चूर-चूर कर डाला है.
But nowe they breake downe the carued worke thereof with axes and hammers.
7 उन्होंने आपके मंदिर को भस्म कर धूल में मिला दिया है; उस स्थान को, जहां आपकी महिमा का वास था, उन्होंने भ्रष्ट कर दिया है.
They haue cast thy Sanctuarie into the fire, and rased it to the grounde, and haue defiled the dwelling place of thy Name.
8 उन्होंने यह कहते हुए संकल्प किया, “इन्हें हम पूर्णतः कुचल देंगे!” संपूर्ण देश में ऐसे स्थान, जहां-जहां परमेश्वर की वंदना की जाती थी, भस्म कर दिए गए.
They saide in their hearts, Let vs destroy them altogether: they haue burnt all the Synagogues of God in the land.
9 अब कहीं भी आश्चर्य कार्य नहीं देखे जा रहे; कहीं भी भविष्यद्वक्ता शेष न रहे, हममें से कोई भी यह नहीं बता सकता, कि यह सब कब तक होता रहेगा.
We see not our signes: there is not one Prophet more, nor any with vs that knoweth howe long.
10 परमेश्वर, शत्रु कब तक आपका उपहास करता रहेगा? क्या शत्रु आपकी महिमा पर सदैव ही कीचड़ उछालता रहेगा?
O God, howe long shall the aduersarie reproche thee? shall the enemie blaspheme thy Name for euer?
11 आपने क्यों अपना हाथ रोके रखा है, आपका दायां हाथ? अपने वस्त्रों में छिपे हाथ को बाहर निकालिए और कर दीजिए अपने शत्रुओं का अंत!
Why withdrawest thou thine hand, euen thy right hand? drawe it out of thy bosome, and consume them.
12 परमेश्वर, आप युग-युग से मेरे राजा रहे हैं; पृथ्वी पर उद्धार के काम करनेवाले आप ही हैं.
Euen God is my King of olde, working saluation in the middes of the earth.
13 आप ही ने अपनी सामर्थ्य से समुद्र को दो भागों में विभक्त किया था; आप ही ने विकराल जल जंतु के सिर कुचल डाले.
Thou didest deuide the sea by thy power: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
14 लिवयाथान के सिर भी आपने ही कुचले थे, कि उसका मांस वन के पशुओं को खिला दिया जाए.
Thou brakest the head of Liuiathan in pieces, and gauest him to be meate for the people in wildernesse.
15 आपने ही झरने और धाराएं प्रवाहित की; और आपने ही सदा बहने वाली नदियों को सुखा दिया.
Thou brakest vp the fountaine and riuer: thou dryedst vp mightie riuers.
16 दिन तो आपका है ही, साथ ही रात्रि भी आपकी ही है; सूर्य, चंद्रमा की स्थापना भी आपके द्वारा की गई है.
The day is thine, and the night is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sunne.
17 पृथ्वी की समस्त सीमाएं आपके द्वारा निर्धारित की गई हैं; ग्रीष्मऋतु एवं शरद ऋतु दोनों ही आपकी कृति हैं.
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
18 याहवेह, स्मरण कीजिए शत्रु ने कैसे आपका उपहास किया था, कैसे मूर्खों ने आपकी निंदा की थी.
Remember this, that the enemie hath reproched the Lord, and the foolish people hath blasphemed thy Name.
19 अपने कबूतरी का जीवन हिंसक पशुओं के हाथ में न छोड़िए; अपनी पीड़ित प्रजा के जीवन को सदा के लिए भूल न जाइए.
Giue not the soule of thy turtle doue vnto the beast, and forget not the Congregation of thy poore for euer.
20 अपनी वाचा की लाज रख लीजिए, क्योंकि देश के अंधकारमय स्थान हिंसा के अड्डे बन गए हैं.
Consider thy couenant: for the darke places of the earth are full of the habitations of the cruell.
21 दमित प्रजा को लज्जित होकर लौटना न पड़े; कि दरिद्र और दुःखी आपका गुणगान करें.
Oh let not the oppressed returne ashamed, but let the poore and needie prayse thy Name.
22 परमेश्वर, उठ जाइए और अपने पक्ष की रक्षा कीजिए; स्मरण कीजिए कि मूर्ख कैसे निरंतर आपका उपहास करते रहे हैं.
Arise, O God: mainteine thine owne cause: remember thy dayly reproche by the foolish man.
23 अपने विरोधियों के आक्रोश की अनदेखी न कीजिए, आपके शत्रुओं का वह कोलाहल, जो निरंतर बढ़ता जा रहा है.
Forget not the voyce of thine enemies: for the tumult of them, that rise against thee, ascendeth continually.
