भजन संहिता 73
1 आसफ का एक स्तोत्र. इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि परमेश्वर इस्राएल के प्रति, उनके प्रति, जिनके हृदय निर्मल हैं, हितकारी हैं.
A Psalm for Asaph. How good is God to Israel, to the upright in heart!
2 वैसे मैं लगभग इस स्थिति तक पहुंच चुका था; कि मेरे पैर फिसलने पर ही थे, मेरे कदम लड़खड़ाने पर ही थे.
But my feet were almost overthrown; my goings very nearly slipped.
3 मुझे दुर्जनों की समृद्धि से डाह होने लगी थी क्योंकि मेरा ध्यान उनके घमंड पर था.
For I was jealous of the transgressors, beholding the tranquility of sinners.
4 मृत्यु तक उनमें पीड़ा के प्रति कोई संवेदना न थी; उनकी देह स्वस्थ तथा बलवान थी.
For there is no sign of reluctance in their death: and [they have] firmness under their affliction.
5 उन्हें अन्य मनुष्यों के समान सामान्य समस्याओं का सामना नहीं करना पड़ता; उन्हें परिश्रम भी नहीं करना पड़ता.
They are not in the troubles of [other] men; and they shall not be scourged with [other] men.
6 अहंकार उनके गले का हार है; तथा हिंसा उनका वस्त्र.
Therefore pride has possessed them; they have clothed themselves with their injustice and ungodliness.
7 उनके संवेदन शून्य हृदय से अपराध ही निकलता है; उनके मस्तिष्क में घुमड़ती दुष्कल्पनाओं की कोई सीमा ही नहीं है.
Their injustice shall go forth as out of fatness: they have fulfilled their intention.
8 वे उपहास करते रहते हैं, बुराई करने की वार्तालाप करते हैं; तथा अहंकार के साथ वे उत्पीड़न की धमकी देते हैं.
They have taken counsel and spoken in wickedness: they have uttered unrighteousness loftily.
9 उनकी डींगे आकाश तक ऊंची होती हैं, और वे दावा करते हैं कि वे पृथ्वी के अधिकारी हैं.
They have set their mouth against heaven, and their tongue has gone through upon the earth.
10 इसलिये उनके लोग इस स्थान पर लौट आते हैं, और वे भरे हुए जल में से पान करते हैं.
Therefore shall my people return hither: and full days shall be found with them.
11 वे कहते हैं, “यह कैसे हो सकता है, कि यह परमेश्वर को ज्ञात हो जाए? क्या परम प्रधान को इसका बोध है?”
And they said, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the Most High?
12 ऐसे होते हैं दुष्ट पुरुष—सदैव निश्चिंत; और उनकी संपत्ति में वृद्धि होती रहती है.
Behold, these [are] the sinners, and they that prosper always: they have possessed wealth.
13 क्या लाभ हुआ मुझे अपने हृदय को शुद्ध रखने का? व्यर्थ ही मैंने अपने हाथ निर्दोष रखे.
And I said, Verily in vain have I justified my heart, and washed my hands in innocency.
14 सारे दिन मैं यातनाएं सहता रहा, प्रति भोर मुझे दंड दिया जाता रहा.
For I was plagued all the day, and my reproof [was] every morning.
15 अब मेरा बोलना उन्हीं के जैसा होगा, तो यह आपकी प्रजा के साथ विश्वासघात होता.
If I said, I will speak thus; behold, I [should] have broken covenant with the generation of thy children.
16 मैंने इस मर्म को समझने का प्रयास किया, तो यह अत्यंत कठिन लगा.
And I undertook to understand this, [but] it is too hard for me,
17 तब मैं परमेश्वर के पवित्र स्थान में जा पहुंचा; और वहां मुझ पर दुष्टों की नियति का प्रकाशन हुआ.
until I go into the sanctuary of God; [and so] understand the latter end.
18 सचमुच में, आपने दुष्टों को फिसलने वाली भूमि पर रखा है; विनाश होने के लिए आपने उन्हें निर्धारित कर रखा है.
Surely thou hast appointed [judgments] to them because of their crafty dealings: thou hast cast them down when they were lifted up.
19 अचानक ही आ पड़ेगा उन पर विनाश, आतंक उन्हें एकाएक ही ले उड़ेगा!
How have they become desolate! suddenly they have failed: they have perished because of their iniquity.
20 जब दुस्वप्न के कारण निद्रा से जागने पर एक व्यक्ति दुस्वप्न के रूप से घृणा करता है, हे प्रभु, उसी प्रकार आपके जागने पर उनके स्वरूप से आप घृणा करेंगे!
As the dream of one awakening, O Lord, in thy city thou wilt despise their image.
21 जब मेरा हृदय खेदित था तथा मेरी आत्मा कड़वाहट से भर गई थी,
For my heart has rejoiced, and my reins have been gladdened.
22 उस समय मैं नासमझ और अज्ञानी ही था; आपके सामने मैं पशु समान था.
But I [was] vile and knew not: I became brutish before thee.
23 किंतु मैं सदैव आपके निकट रहा हूं; और आप मेरा दायां हाथ थामे रहे.
Yet I am continually with thee: thou hast holden my right hand.
24 आप अपनी सम्मति द्वारा मेरी अगुवाई करते हैं, और अंत में आप मुझे अपनी महिमा में सम्मिलित कर लेंगे.
Thou hast guided me by thy counsel, and thou hast taken me to thyself with glory.
25 स्वर्ग में आपके अतिरिक्त मेरा कौन है? आपकी उपस्थिति में मुझे पृथ्वी की किसी भी वस्तु की कामना नहीं रह जाती.
For what have I in heaven [but thee]? and what have I desired upon the earth beside thee?
26 यह संभव है कि मेरी देह मेरा साथ न दे और मेरा हृदय क्षीण हो जाए, किंतु मेरा बल स्वयं परमेश्वर हैं; वही मेरी निधि हैं.
My heart and my flesh have failed: [but] God [is the strength] of my heart, and God is my portion for ever.
27 क्योंकि वे, जो आपसे दूर हैं, नष्ट हो जाएंगे; आपने उन सभी को नष्ट कर दिया है, जो आपके प्रति विश्वासघाती हैं.
For, behold, they that remove themselves far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed every one that goes a whoring from thee.
28 मेरा अपना अनुभव यह है, कि मनोरम है परमेश्वर का सान्निध्य. मैंने प्रभु याहवेह को अपना आश्रय-स्थल बना लिया है; कि मैं आपके समस्त महाकार्य को लिख सकूं.
But it is good for me to cleave close to God, to put my trust in the Lord; that I may proclaim all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion.
